nice review mate.... ive recently replaced my XFX GTS250,s stock cooling with a arctic cooling accelero L2 which reduced the idle temp by 12c.... (stock idle temp was previously 72c) ... now 60c..... however this replacement gpu cooler uses 3 slots instead of 2 with the stock cooler
ive since cleaned the stock cooler which was totally clogged up with dirt and grease... not the easiest card to clean... but performance wise its well worth the £79 i payed for it.... nice video
my psu is a good 550 watt and it has quad 12 volt rails and the total of amps between the 4 is 41 amps ,would that be enough for this card , and my psu is Gigabyte ODIN PRO 550 Watt modular
Yeah, everything would be really laggy and your graphics would glitch bad, ifs your PSU has a dedicated 6 pin adapter then it should not be an issue. But in the end i would not run it on a 1.0 x16 slot
I have the GTX 560 beat that!Oh wait you can,the GTX 580 :(

what would be the comparison between the GTS 250, GT9800, and the GTX 465. What would be the most "bang for my buck"
TheFlight17 1 year ago
@TheFlight17 Get the 465, the other cards are outdated now and if I am not mistaken the 465 supports DX11

I'm picking up this card when i get my check. Should be plenty for my 1600x900 res.

Will this fit in an antec 310 mid tower case?
I'm wondering cuz every1 says it's a big card.

I wanted to buy this card,I gotta an AMD Athlon 4200+x2 and 2 gb of ram(soon 4).Do you think it shall fit on my PC?
silviucarmelo15 2 years ago
The only thing is you need to make sure it actually will fit into your case and that your power supply will support it
Comanche611 2 years ago
Oh,thank you for reply.how about performance and stuff?I was also thinking about an ATI 5570.
silviucarmelo15 2 years ago
To be honest ATI does have really good cards, but the issue is the drivers, for now a good performance card would be a GTX series card from nvidia

@silviucarmelo15
get a 4770 their not bad and with price tag of around 89 bucks, who can bitch.

yeah, with quad rails you could fit 2 of those, you might be able to fit a gtx 275 on it too.

if the PSU can not deliver the amps needed, can cause a rise in temperature in the VGA?
because mine is almost always in 60 º
and Cooler speed at 38%
l2gve 2 years ago
yeah, that or the heatsink might be clogged, I always check my 295's and sometimes they will get clogged and rise in temp

Can I run it on a 450W PSU, and if I put it into a PCI x16 slot instead of 2.0 will there be a performance loss ??
