Great tips man! Ive been wanting to have an xbox and cod games for the last 2 years and I just recently got an xbox with mw3 and man, for the past weeks I suck at aiming. Now, thanks for this tips and im gonna keep practicing.

I just ran across this video and it helped me out a ton. I was at the bottom of the boards for the first 4 hours that I played MW3. Literally, the next game that I played I went from having 3-5 kills in a game to 17. I had never even come close to that before. Thanks a ton!!
Seon, great vid that, i'm a 15-25 kills man (per free for all), but having owned a PS3 for 11 months I want to now be able to win matches because in the end we all want that reward don't we. People have genuinely tried to help my aim get better, but i've found that describing exactly how you aim on it and what their buttons do, is as hard as the game itself as I understand it has alot to do with feel. haha wow i was doing this without even noticing. then i found your videos and realized what i was doing. haha then i perfected it. thanks dude. im 27% accuracy with my aug and 26% with ak47. now 5.2kd but i think COD is a lot to do with playing smart. like im in their spawn always moving around but always having cover or having an advantage over the enemies like flanking from side or back or getting them with surprize
i get it now, basiclly when youre moving your right stick youre just standing still while moving youre gun whereas, if you went against someone doing the strafing thing they would be dodging youre bullets whilest shooting you so you would die quicker.
the main thing about playing the game this way is NOT you having more hits, it is so much harder to get shot moving like that, the other player will land 50 or 60% less shots as you move side to side. if you think i'm wrong team up with a friend on combat and try it out,
im an experianced player been playin since last october and i never had the common sense to do this, im pretty good im usually in the top 2 or 3 every game but man if someone is already good and they learn this trick, shamwow!
strafing is usefull 'most of the time' but not 'all of the time'. there are instances where you wont use body movement like shooting while in cover with multiple enemy.
@infernoflames2112 stop aiming and hip fire while you straffe around them. they cant follow you with their aim fast enough when they are laying down. so straffe around to the side of em while killing em. Drop shotters tend to do that in up close gun fights so doing this will get you the kill every time.

@seon257 i did a match on combat training which i did better at i think it was 13 10 or something i forget which map it was.but i got a 9-14 on array i got a double kill and a comeback or two and afterlife and i got a killstreak rv car but i got killed because i was out in the open when i used it, I don't know if it killed anyone though.Not saying i completely suck i get rewards for the combat like gun kills and actions. i sucked ass on jungle though
PRE-AIM (putting up your ADS sights) while SLOWLY entering a corner.... Use the RIGHT ANALOG stick to line up your shot... Even if the guy is in the 2nd level of a house, then line up your shot with the RIGHT ANALOG STICK, THEN strafe shoot and maybe burst fire if its long range.....

Here's an idea dropshots while strafing jumping and moving the Right thumbstick cause if your enemy can't hit you then you won't die and after a while of practice you can shoot them accurately while doing it
If a camper is on the top or prone on the bottom one thing I have to say bout that... Mix your methods up.. Don't just stick with one... Do what is appropriate for the situation your in.. Strafe when you need to, drop shot when you need to, go ahead and use the right analog to adjust you levels of sight if you need to
Your vid helped a lot. I realized right away my right analog aim syndrome. Although I still get killed in a lot of gunfights I was able to stay on target on a lot of my kills without even touching that right bitch stick! Appreciate the simple suggestion of not moving the rt analog to aim!
the difference is phenomenal, strafing moves the same amount as the target, but the right analog stick gets worse the farther away you are, because of the whole angle deal, 5 degrees is much point blank, but at longer distances it could be the difference of yards
what if u move them both at the same time? :O but ur right analog stick moves really little.. like ur tilting it o.o i find that u get first shot better like this.. or is it better to not move ur right analog stick o.o
and how do u actually strafe with him while ur shooting, its alot easier when ur shooting that target at firing range but in a real battle.. isnt it different? i just need some clarification for these questions.. can anyone help me?
@gary7407 Dude, try it and if it does not work, then do something else. I use this method and it works for me. Go into a lobby, practice and see what happens. Look at some tips videos, and eventually you will get better.

I find it truly awesome to find someone who clarifies so much of what I've been trying to figure out. I am terrible at aiming. Pretty much in all shape and form. I'm lucky to get as far as I have. Which isn't much since I'm only 2nd Prestige and I got the game back in November. Well I tried different stuff which seemed to help at times, but not as much as I thought. Finally after watching this I tested out what you said at a Private match in Nuketown. A success. I got 43 kills and 6 deaths. Ty!
Thank you, that was helpful...BUT, 1) you keep saying you keep your crosshairs at center screen, but it is impossible NOT to, so clearly I am misunderstanding what you meant, and 2) this video could easily have been 1 minute long. Still, it was helpful.
But if you line up your cross hairs like that all the time... how would you check your corners ? I mean you gotta swerve like left and right when you enter a new area, and if you just look straight at a door and run towards it with your crosshairs lined up, you might just get killed from the side....
try to put a small tape in the monitor or tv screen,right in the cross air..bcoz the cross air is not moving, it just the screen so just move only your body to move the screen bcoz the cross air is always in the center of tv screen.it hard in the first time but as long you master it you'll be good!
This one work! I don't try it yet but I got a brother and his a pro in playing counter strike and all of COD online games,before I watch this video i asking him already for good aiming tech. and he got same tech. he told me too that if your first timer and you one to master it,just put a piece of tape in the cross air like the guy talking about and check how it works!

i have problems with aiming at someone (far/mid-far) in windows (ex; grid windows to left and right of the truck in the center) , like my gun starts to move around messes up my aiming ..
This works well on level surfaces. It's just a bit of a challenge to adjust to incline and decline areas of maps. Any insight of that? The clipping technique helps but I still lose a lot of kills adjusting the right analogue stick aiming downhill or uphill.
yap, unlike modern w 2, in black ops u can slide and shoot in the legs...but if do it to u few times then it won't work. I like this tutorial but i'll always b read to move my crosshair down for the droppers. I tried to do a drop it actually works pretty well.
by the way i forgot to mention, droppers sacrifice the fast knifing to fast drop because u switch knife to B or O and dropping/crouching to R3. I believe the setting is called Tactical something. But i'm getting used to knife with O.
Seon, thanks for the aiming tips! My gameplay in TEAMDEATHMATCH went from 18-12, 21-14 to a more consistent gun battle winner.... 18-5, 24-9, 17-4 with my Galil/silencer.
Excellent tips, I have never really thought about how I was aiming, I just did it. Now I want to play around and see what I do, and what I could do differently to improve. Great video!
D - if you line up every door with your crosshairs and run towards it.. what about checking your corners and such? Because if you just keep it ready on the door you are not prepared for attacks from other angles. :p
@seon257 I think you missed my point if you are looking at the door at all times ready for someone to come through you are not checking your corners because you are looking at the door ready for that person only.

Watch starting at 3:38.....
He says use the RIGHT ANALOG stick to LINE UP your aim then
strafe shoot as needed.
E.g... If a guy is running towards you to your RIGHT, then move the LEFT ANALOG
stick to your 3 o'clock position by following him... So basically, in strafe shooting
you are following where the position of your enemy is, while letting the aim assist
(at least on consoles) to do their job... This works on hp firing as well.

Oh my, you are a fucking legend Sir. Thank you so much for sharing this. I've watched so many aiming tutorials and I'm so sick of people banging on about sensitivity, and how you just need natural talent. Bullshit!!

I find it truly awesome to find someone who clarifies so much of what I've been trying to figure out. I am terrible at aiming. Pretty much in all shape and form. I'm lucky to get as far as I have. Which isn't much since I'm only 2nd Prestige and I got the game back in November. Well I tried different stuff which seemed to help at times, but not as much as I thought. Finally after watching this I tested out what you said at a Private match in Nuketown. A success. I got 43 kills and 6 deaths. Ty!

Rewatching some of my games, I realize that many of my deaths were because I was aiming with the right analog stick.

Thank you, that was helpful...BUT, 1) you keep saying you keep your crosshairs at center screen, but it is impossible NOT to, so clearly I am misunderstanding what you meant, and 2) this video could easily have been 1 minute long. Still, it was helpful.

But if you line up your cross hairs like that all the time... how would you check your corners ? I mean you gotta swerve like left and right when you enter a new area, and if you just look straight at a door and run towards it with your crosshairs lined up, you might just get killed from the side....

try to put a small tape in the monitor or tv screen,right in the cross air..bcoz the cross air is not moving, it just the screen so just move only your body to move the screen bcoz the cross air is always in the center of tv screen.it hard in the first time but as long you master it you'll be good!

This one work! I don't try it yet but I got a brother and his a pro in playing counter strike and all of COD online games,before I watch this video i asking him already for good aiming tech. and he got same tech. he told me too that if your first timer and you one to master it,just put a piece of tape in the cross air like the guy talking about and check how it works!

i have problems with aiming at someone (far/mid-far) in windows (ex; grid windows to left and right of the truck in the center) , like my gun starts to move around messes up my aiming ..

This works well on level surfaces. It's just a bit of a challenge to adjust to incline and decline areas of maps. Any insight of that? The clipping technique helps but I still lose a lot of kills adjusting the right analogue stick aiming downhill or uphill.

yap, unlike modern w 2, in black ops u can slide and shoot in the legs...but if do it to u few times then it won't work. I like this tutorial but i'll always b read to move my crosshair down for the droppers. I tried to do a drop it actually works pretty well.

by the way i forgot to mention, droppers sacrifice the fast knifing to fast drop because u switch knife to B or O and dropping/crouching to R3. I believe the setting is called Tactical something. But i'm getting used to knife with O.

Seon, thanks for the aiming tips! My gameplay in TEAMDEATHMATCH went from 18-12, 21-14 to a more consistent gun battle winner.... 18-5, 24-9, 17-4 with my Galil/silencer.

D - if you line up every door with your crosshairs and run towards it.. what about checking your corners and such? Because if you just keep it ready on the door you are not prepared for attacks from other angles. :p

@jason100111 This applies to checking your corner as well; your cross hairs should be in front and centered at all times.
