I was reading about an Arabic poet he is very famous his name is Layla and Majnun . ( majnun is crazy in Arabic )

this guy poem was an influence in many cultures such as Persian , Urdu , Turkish.

Eric Clapton quote many words from the Persian version . Nice song

theres an old arabic story about a woman named layla,and a man named majnun,who was madly in love with layla,but he couldnt have her,,much like erics love for patty boyd,who was still married to george harrison.this story is where clapton got the name layla,and this song is a direct quote from the story of layla and majnun
