Accelerate didn't sell as many albums as Green, Out Of Time, Document, and Automatic For The People, but we have to realize that even if R.E.M. had released those albums in 2008 there's a possibility they would have been covered up by the corporate Pop, Rap, and Hip-Hop that (sadly) a lot of people listen to nowadays. R.E.M. has staying power in forty years people will still be buying R.E.M. albums and no one will remember all of these Pop Stars, and Gangster Rappers.
