• I'm using MediaTemple - which is "One-click-install" for wordpress — but Wordpress seems to run slow.

• I've had clients get the "wordpress only' hosting thru GoDaddy - they set up the initial WordPress theme - then you go in and add new themes (just like you would for any others) I've heard good and bad about: BlueHosting, anhosting. Hey there great vid. Listen, I started on .com but realized I want .org. I bought my own domain name and pointed at the .com but realize I want customization. Can I close down the .com and transfer over or do I have to start again and redirect the domain name that I bought?

@redskinsheartbeat : You can EXPORT your data from your original ".com hosted" site to your desktop. Then install WordPress on your Domain (via your hosting company or manually - if you know how). Turn off the Domain forwarding and once WordPress is installed on your personal domain... then IMPORT the data to your new blog. You might have to tweak some stuff. Hope that helps :)

I'm sure there may be some others with some great feedback too.
