There is a couple of successful, reasonably affordable 3 wheeled scooters with two tilting wheels at the front: the Gilera Fuoco and the Piaggio MP3. They are supposed to have better traction than a regular motorbike and have extra storage space of a maxi scooter but your still exposed like on a motorbike or scooter and you still get wet when it rains.
@oilyboy2 aptera came a decade after this and was a failed (and hideous) electric vehicle that did not have carving suspension, the vandenbrink carver would be a better example, although that came out after this too, in fact this aaa Im tired fuck it
ohhhhh, I remember this thing. no spoof. the thing was real. saw it at the frankfurt auto fair. must have been back in '98.
I wrote a thesis on three wheeled vehicle dynamics and discussed the passive versus active option with one of the project engineers while i was working for bmw. the problem with this thing is sensory lag and reaction time of the actuators. as long as all movements were realtively slow, the reaction times were negligible. with more dynimic driving, you'ld get into trouble

I've seen pictures of this vehicle. It's too bad it never made mass production. I would've loved to had one of the vehicle.
