No.... this is still gay. 99% of symphonic or goth metal songs suck because after the first minute, it's nothing but a repeat of the first minute. kinda like Pop music. and being themetalguy, i know there are a lot (A LOT) of different forms of metal, it just happens that a lot of it sucks unfortunately, especially most new "metal". with the exception of hair metal, the 70's/80's had it right. not to mention this girl has NOTHING on Halford. That's so stupid I mean... I love guitar solos and bands like Iron Maiden, Metallica and Guns n'roses but I still love within temptation, Nightwish and Epica... Don't compare.... It's a different type of metal... This is symphonic metal if you don't like don't listen....

I just love Sharon's voice, it's one of beautiful voice in the world, her voice makes me happy.... And guitar solos makes me feel energic....

this is symphonic metal and it mix some operatic stuff with metal.

within temptation has some other songs more powerfull and with guitar solos that maybe you can like them, some songs are:

dark wings, the howling, what have you done, final destination, our solemn hour, hand of sorrow, etc..

or maybe this is not your kind of music and u prefer to metallica, iron maiden, amon amarth, suicide silence, and oceans etc

I love Sharon vocals, what a range she has. Talk about showing off those power lungs she has. Not to much of the media I hear nowadays has such a sound to it. They are so focused on making it sound "cool" and catchy it makes it seem almost robotic. I barely here anything that is different, they all seems to have the same voice.

When I listen to Sharon I feel like I am a totally different world <3 Best band, totally my favorite group.

But what really strikes me in her (ignoring the incredible, warm and possessive voice matter) is her radiant smile, she smiles with all her body and when she smiles I always think she has some shared secret with the person she is smiling to. Even her voice smiles, you can always make yourself feel better by listening to ANY of her songs, even the supposedly "sad" once. And she loves corsets :-D

She sings great live!! Simone Simons for example (epica) sings fantastic on CD but doesn't make it live (my opinion).

Sharon may miss some passion here, but you can't sing excellent everywhere isn't it,, she's little out of breath sometimes and is of course better on CD, but she sings also very well live,, I like her live ^^
