  • how about a video about the NORFED SILVER BULLION COINS?

  • does it 99.99% gold?

  • IF this coin is 20$ why is it expensive?

  • What does the letter mean that you sometimes see when the double eagle is in a case. example vf 20 vf 30 xf40 and xf45 and so on. I have 2 $20 gold double eagles

If these codes relate to the condition of the coins how can I find out mine.

And is there anywhere in England that I can find out.

  • @germans1 well vf is the abbreviation of very fine, and xf is extra fine. very fine is a lower grade than extra fine. and the average price does not differ between those grade so you are looking about in arange from 1550 to 1750 in USD. hope i could help.if you have any other questions feel free to ask.

  • @MultiMike747 Thanks MultiMike. Some lucky guy in England a couple of weeks ago found 80 double eagles in his garden. How jammy is that?

  • @germans1 very cool story! i just found the article on it.

  • I wish I could even afford ANY gold eagle coin

  • Love the liberty double eagle! Even more than the At. Gaudens

  • So why is this coin called a double eagle coin?

  • @frediab A Eagle would have been a $10 gold coin then Half Eagle = $5 and Quarter Eagle = $2.50 and then Gold Dollars = $1. So a Double Eagle would be $20.

  • One of the hardest and most expensive coins to collect.

  • Hey i have a double eagle 1880 liberty head thats a type iii Motto Twenty dollars...i want to know a safe place where i can get a apprasail and perhaps where i can sell it? the coin is in good conditions and ideas??

  • It isnt your country, its the country of the Native Americans you idiot!

  • @apenkind5 was.

  • @YearOfTheLover513 nothing was, They Actually still owe.. And will officialy always be their country dumbass.

  • @apenkind5 I could say that the dinosaurs and creatures owned the land before the N. Americans. Technically, niether the N. Americans nor the dinosaurs owned the land. They just lived on it.

Besides, your from the Netherlands. Why the fuck do you care?

  • spare change is awesome, please continue doing more

  • Enjoyed this one as much as the others. Are the $10 coins called eagles and that's why these are double eagles?

These are well out of my price range for a while, but nice to learn about.

  • Cool videos!

  • Spare change is easily my favorite anything on youtube. I've checked out Apmex too, they r pretty good.

  • Another interesting video. I'm looking forward to viewing the rest. I've also been spreading the word about this series on my coin website.

  • Nice work! I love the intros!

  • I really enjoy your videos. I've been coin collecting for about 2-3 years. Your videos really help me. Thanks for the tips and advise.

  • I can't wait for the next contest. :)

  • If i want to start collecting a type set of these us gold coins what would be cheapest to start with. The most expensive coin i have now is a 1858 LL flying eagle in AU. So whats the cheapest gold coin

  • You know what's ridiculous? That 9/11 rectangular mint where "the 9 and the 11, for the first time, add up to equal the $20 value." The mint is going insane. lol.

  • That's not the U.S. mint, that's a private mint who make crappy quality "proofs" and "commemoratives" to make a quick buck off the ignorant public. The Franklin Mint, the National Collectors mint, they're all ridiculous. The U.S. mint doesn't make crap like that, and they're the only entity who's authorized to make legal tender currency, which is worth anything. I've seen collections of "Private mint" coins sell for less than they were bought for in the 70's. Worth the weight of their silver.

  • That was a Liberian mint.

  • Ever since I was a kid in the 1960's, I've always loved the reverse of the Liberty Double Eagle. I remember stopping in the local hobby store once or twice a week to look at the model trains and the U.S. coins, especially the $20.00 Libs.

  • contest!! woot!

  • I have a 1904 $20 Graded by NGC as a MS63. I payed $800.

  • I have to say.....these videos bring great value to your channel..

  • Gold is not high right now, the fiat dollars used to measure it are just getting weaker, there is actually a lot of evidence that central banks are suppressing the price of gold. If they just backed the M! (people's checkbook money and the physical paper "federal" reserve notes circulating) with the gold they claim to still have a Fort Knox it would be $6,000 per ounce!

  • Thanks! You are a great storyteller!

  • GoldRush

    FortyNiners

    NeedPanAndBoots

    LibertyDoubleEagle

    SpareChange

  • Wow!

  • wow got find the 20 and 30

  • As a long time coin collector I love your videos. Very educational and informative.

    Please make more !!!

  • I don't have any original $20 double eagles, only a high relief double eagle released this year. Beautiful bullion coin! But not the original real thing.

  • Didn't really like

Not much of a fan in American money

  • I have an 1873 "Closed 3" $20 Double Eagle in a solid 14K rope chain pendant and I have a 1907 P $20 Double Eagle in a white slab graded XF/AU. As a numismatist I don't feel anyone should be concerned about what are common dates in the $20 Gold Liberty series type varieties. They're all wise investments. I recently bought a 1923 50 Pesos Mexican Gold Piece set in a solid 14K Greek Key Bezel Pendant & a 1 oz. 1980 Krugerrand set in a solid 14k 3MM Turkish bezel pendant. Gold is Great! Good Show.

  • i have a 1891 20 dollar gold coin with s on the back how much is that worth and anybody wana buy it found it in hawaii in my gramas house.

  • It is worth 25 bucks but ill give you thirty

  • lol :)

  • NAA! I dont wana take your whole life savings but thanks anyway.

  • I have been collecting coins most of my life and only see a few double eagles.

  • they can be harder to find and expensive too..lol I just priced a few BU? common coins today and they are about 200 over what I paid for them.

  • Hey Mark, how's the next episode coming along. I'm waiting for it.

  • I'm working on it :)

  • i didnt know this

  • i learn something new off you everyday =D

  • yeah i just started collecting over the summer so i dont have the rarest coins out there and im not that much of a big spender on'em so i cant wait for the next vid.....love them though watched all the priors and thought they were great.

  • You know your history!

  • thats two face,s coin!!!!

  • You mean Two-Face from Batman? He had a silver Peace Dollar.

  • i have more then 500 coins :p

    really old coins

  • nice :)

  • ya :p lol how much will cost 1 xD :O

  • lol that was really funny

    awesome

  • lovin this video!! leave me a comment

I NEED SOMEONE TO TALK TO My

  • i want to start collecting gold coins i collect indian head pennies but nothing drives me to them like to gold coins what kind of gold coins do you reccomend i collect im 15 and dont have a load of money

  • you might want to start with the dollar gold coins because the common coins can be cheaper

  • yea start with the dollars. I got a $5 gold liberty coin when i was just 13.

  • Excellent video, just like the others. You definitely add the fun element to coin collecting. Looking forward to the next episode.

  • Hey very very good work I have never seen so most reseach done it one vidoe you did your homework :)

  • LOL - what a coincidence: I started my latest video with a silent movie too, without seeing or hearing about this vid before... :P

Anyhow, interesting knowledge. Thanks for sharing! :)

  • Great video. Loved the history lesson. That one coin you talked about that has been lost. If that was found in someones attic don't you think that the person would be in trouble. Cause I'm sure that if some one did have it they probably didn't get it legaly. Any way it's great to see ya doing diffrent kinds of videos. But BRING BACK SPACE GHOST! I used to love you wild wacky videos. I don't even know who won the YouTube superhero contest. lol I'm still a die hard fan though.

  • I watched the whole video- where do I go to collect my check?

  • OH NO DUDE! when you have the shaky film grain effect on the intro you and your background are shaking independently!

  • lol I know but its really suppose to look cheesy and wrong. :)

  • Mark,

Any specials coming up, Im thinking of buying your videos as a gift for my wife (teacher) who can use it for her students.

    thanks

  • You never know what might happen. Right know they are on my website pretty cheap for training DVDs :)

  • your production is getting awesome

  • dude glad you like these they are not my most popular series but I love doing them. I'm trying to doing good production valves and move away from the viral stuff. I think that if you make something good people are going to watch it online too

  • Hey Mark, subscribed for you video tips, but enjoy your coin collecting vids...I completely agree about production value...I do relic hunting vids...metal detecting videos are a dime a dozen, but I know viewers are critics...whether they know what they're looking for or not, they know what's good and not...if the production is good along with content, your audience will grow...feel free to critique any of my stuff...thanks for your hard work...Greg

  • do you have a double eagle to spare?

  • I just LOVE your intro's and ends, very amazing with all the effects and everything! If this is done in sony vegas, then I am very impressed! Good work, keep it up!

  • it was all made with vegas and a bit of photoshop. Just wait until I get all crazy with after effects..lol

  • Excellent. This is a great series!

  • thnaks I'm glad you like it. If you have any ideas or suggestions just let me know :)

  • Once, when I was a kid, I found a 1903 penny in the backyard. I've misplaced it since, but always wondered what is was worth. I collected coins, rocks, stamps, comics, and Micronauts/Dingalings. In my adult life, though, I just collect a lot of debt...

  • lol I hear on the debt thing but I've pulled myself out of it :) I had a few Indian head pennies when I was a kid too. I still do not know what happened to them..lol

  • Well, I usually just keep my spare change in a jar by the door, and when it's full I order a pizza.

Except the quarters. Those I save for laundry day.

Lol didn't think I was going to watch the whole thing, but as usual I was surprised when it was over. And after watching your vid about transitions and such, I kept an eye out for that, and enjoyed how polished your style is.

  • thanks Billy. You may want to go through your change you never know what you might find. I found 3 war nickels the other day. Those have about 35% silver in them. In the quarters look out for the Wisconsin extra leaf on the reverse. Those are a gold of a find and worth alot :)

  • Another great video bud!!!

  • thanks again for all the support :)

  • Awesome..... Looking forward to you doing a Lincoln Cents video

  • I'm probably going to do the Lincoln cent when the anniversary ones are released after the new year ;)

  • Happy Thanx Giving!

  • Very Informative! Great Video!

  • thanks!

  • I'm not into coins Mark... but I'll be damned if I don't come away from every one of your videos with ideas. Sorry if I 'use' (uh... copy) some of your techniques but I think in your world you are kind of out to teach people so maybe you are in favor of this practice, the whole imitation/flattery thing.

The 'whip' sound effect was overused IMHO, but your videos do pop, no doubt.

I'm going to make a video on how to make a video for my wife's students, I hope I do 1/17th as good a job as you do.

  • its no problem. I aim to entertain and educate with these videos. So if you learn more about my style and about coins. Then I've done my job :)

  • great subject matter!

  • thanks there are more on the way :)

  • great video, awesome effects :)

  • sorry mark i dont get this coin thing you do.great production work all the same

  • its ok Les, its just a series like the other ones I have here on youtube. btw loved you last star T video. That must have been a ton of work!

  • Thanks Mark. Lots of good info in this video. I am a stamp collector myself, but I have always had an interest in US currency & coins also.

    *****

    -Larry

  • very cool. I have a few stamps that I collected back in the day. I should find out more about them

  • cool vid mark

  • thanks :)

  • I'm not a collector, but, WOW!, Your presentation with all the facts is very interesting. I'll keep checking these out just to learn the facts. Thanks!!!!

  • thanks I'm glad you like it :) This series is not along the same lines as the video but I collect and do videos..lol so whats a guy to do :) thanks again for the support
