Also, a lot of companies have merged into these huge conglomerates who's main goal is to make money, instead of entertainment. Now most cartoons all just stupid corporate mass productions of crap.

I cannot be convinced otherwise on that issue. But, yes, a lot of the kids material these days is crap. The comedy lacks structure and timing, and it's all about shock value anymore. Shock value works for a while, but after some time, it loses its punch.
