Jesus Christ when he died on the cross not only went through more physical torture than anyone I have ever known or read about on this planet, but he also took on the full wrath of God; which means what we would have to experience an eternity in Hell without Christ he did too. We now don't have to experience Hell because of what Christ did for me. I have no problem going through beatings and sacrifice for him

The message you bring across is undeniably important and your intentions are admirable. However, how exactly is fasting and praying going to help combat slavery on a global scale? Wouldn't it be more effective and realistic to draft a letter that addresses these issues we're facing, get signatures from the public, and hopefully get it published in the media so it gets the attention it deserves?

@desemondez I don't think its just about praying. Fasting and praying is a way of showing and spreading awarenessa bout the situation. Also, the donation from the food they would've eaten is going to the cause.

@desemondez Still, fasting is a discipline and requires giving of your time to pray for those people. They are raising awareness by supporting this event and telling thousands of people about it on youtube. Also, the event encourages people to donate to a program that is working to end human trafficking. There are many ways to help, and I think that this event is a great one to support, and is not in vain.

I went to Thailand on missions a few years ago and I thought human trafficking was more of an urban myth. That is until we met a mother who was about to sell her daughter. How much longer can we turn a blind eye? Thank you Janice and Sonia for being a catalyst.
