THE ULTIMATE HELICOPTER IS Flettner Fl 282 Kolibri MANUFACTURED IN 1940 FOR GERMANY CONGRATULATIONS FROM ARGENTINA!!!!!. EL ULTIMO HELICOPTERO ES EL FLETTNER FI 282 KOLIBRI ECHO EN 1940 POR ALEMANIA FELICITACIONES DESDE ARGENTINA!!!!!!!!!
Fascinating. Especially the footage of Chopper #2, the Focke-Achgelis Fa 223 Drache. Never really got into service, the 223, though the third chopper shown here, the Flettner Fl 284 Kolibri, sure did.
it is a real shock to me that the germans had already use helicopters in WW 2 , they are totally a head of every other nation in the world. its just simply amazing !!!
and i thought US and RUSSIA are NO. 1 in the world
You've got the music from Where Eagles Dare, so plus 1 for you! but I have a question, the heli in that film was obviously too advanced from viewing the footage in your video right? Also, I think I saw they used Texans (US Trainers) in Luftwaffe markings in their airfield escape scene, at least they dont look like FW-190's or 109's...
@AAErikCO the helicopter was a US Bell 47 (see M.A.S.H.) and the planes were US AT-6 Texan trainers. these planes also made appearances in Tora Tora Tora and Midway as Japanese fighters.
the transport plane, however, was a Real Junkers Ju 52 transport, so Points to them.
It's even better: all depicted aircraft are Hubschrauber, not Tragschrauber. The only Tragschauber would have been the Fa-330 Bachstelze. These things were even more advanced.
Wow, the end of the clip really impressed upon me how close they came to see combat helicopters in WW2...
And all the early footage showed modern uses of the aircraft: Supply drops, Medical evacs, transport of artillery... Only would have been a matter of time before they strapped some MG42s to these babies.
is this a coincidence that there is an ad for a toy helecopter at the top right.

Dude, i'm not german, but if you look at the world today. 70% of the advanced stuff were invented by the germans.
