  • The story is that one night he was playing in a club in Twist Alabama and they used to fill a barrel with Kerosene to heat the club. Well two men in the club were fighting over a woman named lucille and knocked the barrel over and a river of fire filled the club. BB ran out, but forgot his guitar, which was an old acoustic gibson. He ran back in after it, and barely made it out alive. He subsequently named all of his guitars lucille to remind himself to never fight over a woman.

  • @ashmamma2003 is there more then one lucille??

  • One of the best versions I've ever heard... Truly spectacular

  • Lucille is a ES335 Gibson , that BB has had since 1949
