  • They dubbed Maleficent like witches and "siren women" usually sound in Japanese folk tales; with a raspy hag's voice. That's OK for all intend and purposes,but II would've rather heard Maleficent and a cold,majestic Japanese female voice.

    This is the first dubbing Sleeping Beauty was released on July 1960 in Japan.

  • @buqui110 i c.......but what about the other one with Toshiko Sawada? Plus, this version doesn't sound so sinister as the original or the Toshiko's version IMHO.

  • This is the original Japanese dub. The newer version features Toshiko Sawada as Maleficent. Dunno who this actress is .
