@voldagar I disagree. MW3 (and to some extend, MW2) might as well have been called "Michael Bay: The Game." I love Soap and Price from COD 4, but the story became way too convoluted and incoherent in MW2 and 3. In BO, I loved the intensity of the voice acting, and I actually wanted to see where the plot was going. And the plot-twists were awesome.

A few corrections regarding the singleplayer story. You actually play as three different characters throughout the game. You mainly play as the games leading character Mason, but also a couple of missions as the CIA agent Hudson and the flashback episode where you play as Reznov.

I thought this was the most interesting CoD story yet as it doesn't just show you a conflict from different characters' viewpoints but play with the very Cold Warish themes as brainwashing and counter-intelligence!

@brocushelm CoD is the Madden of the FPS genre. That is, it's insanely(and undeservedly) popular, and lures in a lot of casuals and stupid kids who think they know what gaming is. A game like HL2 puts them off because it requires more use of your brain than just the part that pulls a damned trigger.

Games like CoD have effectively killed the FPS genre. Nobody wants to make single-player games anymore because multiplayer = money. And CoD started it.

I played the campaign at my mate's house and it's embarrassing. So bad and not INTENSE at all. The story was boring, the voice acting was disappointing, the actual shooting feels weak and unsatisfying, the graphics are average, the set pieces are lame and silly, and worst of all; most linear experience ever.

I think Black Ops just got boring too quickly. I mean, WaW zombies was better in my opinion, harder to survive longer in some aspects, thus more addicting. I say that because take Shi No Numa for example: every room you went into, while not all the time, the perk machines randomly generated differently into that room. What I mean by that is that, usually a different perk machine generated into that room. the problem with BO zombies was that it was the same procedure every time for each map.

I also never could get a good routine going for Five after the power was turned on, and every one was situated with good weapons. Further more, I think the multiplayer just lacked the quality that MW2's multiplayer had that kept me playing it for so long. While I thought that customizing your own weapons with emblems and clan tags was fun, MP just wasn't interesting.

The Black Ops campaign was rather average. The gameplay and variety was good, but the plot lacked - a lot. It's still a lot better than MW 2 however, which is by far - the most overrated COD game to date. The Black Ops multiplayer is fun as hell. There's not many games which can top it.

Campaign- An awesome story and the best for a COD game

sound-Sound is great as always

gameplay- Remains the same but works well as always just gets boring now after this many COD games, they need to spend more time on COD games and bring out something fresh (if possible).

Multilayer- More balanced but Nuke Town is just a joke new perks and COD points and wager matches add new depth plus its somthing new. Still the main multilayer is the same as the last 4 COD games.

I wish that the campaign modes in these games were longer. When I first got World at War, I finished the campaign within about 2-3 hours. Since I didn't have internet for my Wii back then, I had to return the game because it was SO boring when you don't have online. They really should've focused on the local multiplayer as much as the online one.
