As a person who'd want to provide a more neutral ground for this whole dispute.
Natal/Kinect is an interesting piece of technology, true. Though software wise, most of it's uses were already provided with the Eyetoy. It is an update on the technology though and has mobile cameras which is an advantage. With a built-in microphone, you don't need the microphone add-on to the Eyetoy/PS2.
But aside from that, gameplay wise, you won't see much different from Eyetoy Games...
So while Yes, it is an evolution in motion controlled gaming via camera use. It isn't going to update much of anything gameplay wise. Whatever it does in gaming, odds are, the Playstation Eye + Move combination will be able to emulate to a relatively high degree. Arguably, even the most popular Kinect game to come, Dance Central, could be emulated on the Playstation Eye/Move.
So it's not a huge change in gaming. I will want to add one last thing though.
Where it could be considered a great leap is in user interface.
Gameplay, as always, will depend mainly upon how the game producers decide to make use of the technology. But again, odds are, whatever people will think of making on Natal/Kinect, it will most likely be capable of emulation on the Eyetoy/Move.

We got ours at Play N Trade or Game Stop. I dont know where you live, but you may have some hand-me-down game stores like those. We also found some at goodwill! They are the older versions for the PS2 so your chances of finding them at a second hand store are actually pretty good! Good luck finding them.. they sure are fun!

The only game that I have found worth the effort to get has been Operation Creature Feature for the ps3. It's actually pretty fun especially for your less console talented friends. Also EyeCreate is worth getting a pseye for cause you can do a lot of fun things with it like stop animation or if you have a pseye and a psp you can connect your psp over the Internet to your ps3 and see what your pseye sees anytime you want kind of a fun way to "spy" on what is happening in the room with your ps3.
Yes it's on ps2, I recieved my eyetoy from my brother when he also gave me a ps2.. long ago. If you heard about it on ps3 it's because they were using it in a "Water demo" to control cups and show off the capability of the ps3.. there may even be, if not probably, new ps3 Eyetoy games coming out, but theres definitely ps2 Eyetoy games because I have some.

From my experience with Eyetoy I think I could safely say it could support all the stuff u see in this video for ps2 Eyetoy, Eyetoy for ps3 is unchanged, it was just a regular Eyetoy they used for the demo.

Don't think for appearence.. as for the cups the guy was holding in the demo, I don't know, I think they must be special cups, or how would the Eyetoy recognize them as cups? he might had just been holding the cups and would've made no difference if he hadn't had picked em up, I don't know.

dude, plz tell me how u played this WITH your cousin. i searched everywhere on the ps store and it doesnt say anything about the eye party for purchase. is this like a disc thing. cause they never take anything off the store. plz tell me if u downloded it and or if it was disc based.

The only game that I have found worth the effort to get has been Operation Creature Feature for the ps3. It's actually pretty fun especially for your less console talented friends. Also EyeCreate is worth getting a pseye for cause you can do a lot of fun things with it like stop animation or if you have a pseye and a psp you can connect your psp over the Internet to your ps3 and see what your pseye sees anytime you want kind of a fun way to "spy" on what is happening in the room with your ps3.

Wrong, Eyetoy is alot older than the Wii.
The Wii was first spoke of in 2004 (not released)
Eyetoy was RELEASED in 2003, 1 year before the Wii was even spoke off.
I'm neither a very big Wii or Eyetoy fan, usually I just use my Eyetoy was a web cam.

Yes it's on ps2, I recieved my eyetoy from my brother when he also gave me a ps2.. long ago. If you heard about it on ps3 it's because they were using it in a "Water demo" to control cups and show off the capability of the ps3.. there may even be, if not probably, new ps3 Eyetoy games coming out, but theres definitely ps2 Eyetoy games because I have some.

hmmm that means that eyetoy isnt a wii attemp by sony cool. that means it isnt killing wii. but how well is the eyetoy on ps2 can u do real time stuff and animations? if so ill go find one and buy it

From my experience with Eyetoy I think I could safely say it could support all the stuff u see in this video for ps2 Eyetoy, Eyetoy for ps3 is unchanged, it was just a regular Eyetoy they used for the demo.

Don't think for appearence.. as for the cups the guy was holding in the demo, I don't know, I think they must be special cups, or how would the Eyetoy recognize them as cups? he might had just been holding the cups and would've made no difference if he hadn't had picked em up, I don't know.

Oh and the rubber ducky's.. lots-of-ducks (L.O.D LOL!) that was part of the demo b4 Eyetoy was introduced to the demo.
Try seeing if you can find any information on "Updates" to the Eyetoy for ps3.
