What to look for with Hiking Boots

The lower part is called the welt, the upper ruuber part is called a rand.

You mentioned sturdy soles, waterproof, and support, but you failed to mention the most important thing, (no, not looks), comfort and fit!

Those could do for a cleaning. That dirt isn't doing your seams any favors.

@BrianASoto Fair point! With 25 pairs of customer hiking boots though, we don't bother cleaning or waxing them - it's far too time intensive
