The U.S. is not legally required to issue or extend a single H-1B visa. The USCIS states that H-1B visas are a 3 year visa (total stay limited to 6 years) for temporary, nonimmigrant workers. These workers are to fill specialty positions when this talent cannot be secured from the local labor pool. Employers are not required to advertise the positions and are given a legal means to discriminate against U.S. workers. Right now, we should not issue and not renew another H-1B visa.

Being from poland and as a new computer science grad from American college my experience was exactly the contrary. It took 3 months for me to land an OK offer while most of my American classmates got offers earlier than me. Many companies came to the on-campus job fair with a 'No sponsorship for H1B's', because of the saved cost and hassles from the immigration procedures.
It is clear that many companies will not sponsor H1B if they can hire an American.
This issue killed her chances. In the general election, she will lose handily...because of this issue! She did not listen to the people on this, and it will cost her the presidentcy.
Hillary Clinton is killing her campaign with this. I work in tech, nobody, not one supports H1B or outsourcing-- the result is fewer jobs, much lower salary. Many once liked Hillary, now they hate her. H1B should be abolished, in fact. The U.S. is not legally required to issue or extend a single H-1B visa. The USCIS states that H-1B visas are a 3 year visa (total stay limited to 6 years) for temporary, nonimmigrant workers. These workers are to fill specialty positions when this talent cannot be secured from the local labor pool. Employers are not required to advertise the positions and are given a legal means to discriminate against U.S. workers. Right now, we should not issue and not renew another H-1B visa.

There are many bogus Indian IT firms in the U.S that will apply for H1B visa no matter who asks for it as long as they are Indians. Once they get the visa but no job yet(consulting jobs) meaning they are not on payroll,they still get to keep their visa which is against the rule.Rules state that you are out of status they day you don't have work.

There are huge numbers of students who graduate each year from colleges who major in the sciences, mathematics, accounting, etc. Many of these students cannot secure employment upon graduation despite performance in internships while attending college. Why then is our government stating employers do not have qualified Americans for American jobs?

USA is perhaps the best place to work. And all Indians aren't smart, but all aren't asses either. What we need is a free world, where people get what they deserve. Capping the visa doesn't serve that purpose. Perhaps, we could find a better way of allocating visas. USA wasn't built by Indians, but they have put in their fair share. UK has a gone a step and come up with the High Skilled Migration Program. You don't need IT people, you can do this yourself. But you can do with some smarter guys!

I've been there 4 times, and slept in mosquito net, shared the highway with ox carts, yellow golf cart taxi's and heavy pollution emitting Indian cars. That looked like they were designed in the 19050's. So no I do not think you're here because of great Indian technology. The electricity went off for 2 hours every night. The most popular bumper sticker was "Be Indian buy Indian" American cars requited %100 duty tax (the exact opposite of free market)

Chevy, Honda, Ford, Toyota, BMW, Mercedes and a lot of other companies are mainstream and their prices are on par with Indian car brands.Never seen the "Be Indian Buy Indian" ever in my 20 years there. Last time I heard something similar was during the Freedom Struggle in the 40s. I've also never used a mosquito net. Electricity goes off maybe once in 2-3 months and not every day.

You may be right about cows on the road. They do are a nuisance. Taxis do look very old and rickety. But my friend, India is a developing country whose focus is not to make a show of themselves by building fancy infrastructure like communist countries do (China) but the concentration is on economic development and upliftment of the poor. The factor of them matter is companies with high H1b visa abuse move downward. Look at Sun Microsystems or Microsoft. Google who low number of h1b visa has done well. 2nd if you were such good engineers you would fix your countries sewer system. 3rd how come your top positions are no opened up internationally? For your knowledge 60% of your brain power at the Graduate level is foreign and they contribute the most to your tech industry. UC Berkeley EECS program has Shankar Shastry as it's head and he has been responsible for making major contributions to the US Tech industry. Also Microsoft makes most of it's money from Corporate licenses. Resources vs Population. America has abundant resources to alleviate the need of competition, hence the ones that move are usually the ones that are either very smart and are hired to do research or the ones that don't quite cut it in India. Being from poland and as a new computer science grad from American college my experience was exactly the contrary. It took 3 months for me to land an OK offer while most of my American classmates got offers earlier than me. Many companies came to the on-campus job fair with a 'No sponsorship for H1B's', because of the saved cost and hassles from the immigration procedures.
It is clear that many companies will not sponsor H1B if they can hire an American.

Hillary Clinton is killing her campaign with this. I work in tech, nobody, not one supports H1B or outsourcing-- the result is fewer jobs, much lower salary. Many once liked Hillary, now they hate her. H1B should be abolished, in fact. BTW in UK we once had H1B style program, it just caused smart, talented Brits to learn German, French and emigrate to other tech countries-- Germany, France, Belgium, Italy. Same will occur to USA.
