I would love to eat a lot of fruit but I live in Poland, so fruits like bananas, mangos, oranges etc just dont grow here. And you can get them, but they're really bad quality, unripe, and really expensive. So I'm stuck with apples :/ Any advice on what can I do in that situation?
@Freelea This really does work, I started eating more fruit because I realize I wasn't eating enough....which is why I ended up going back to cooked food. This is the only thing that has helped me lose weight as I myself also suffered from the same symptoms.
can you lower yuor body fat to 7 precent and even lower when you eat as much fruits as you want??i mean like 4500 calories when you dont burn everything??thanks
Hi freelee, what kind of doctor are you? I assume you are a dietitian or doctor because of all the medical claims you are making. Are these all anecdotal or do you have any sort of education/training to back your claims? I watch your videos so I am just wondering if you are some sort of quack, spouting off about their personal experiences or someone who actually knows what they are talking about. Thanks!

Great video, Freelea. One question though. Assuming that someone eats a vegan diet, but not raw and still eats some oils, etc, what effect does that have if you eat a lot of fruit as well? I've always been taught calories in= calories out, but your results seem to be quite different from that philosophy. but what if you eat other foods? is it still a good idea to eat a lot of calories from fruit? hopefully this question makes sense. Maybe you have answered this before but what about the sugar crash after all that fruit?? One time I ate three apples to try and have more fruit and I nearly shit my pants. I had to crap in my work truck because I couldn't make it to the bathroom. I was in pain from the sudden pressure and release. That was not fun and if I try to eat more than one banana in one sitting I get sleepy. How does this work ??
so where would you direct me if i said that i was taught about insulin sensitivity...the more sugar and fructose, lactose, etc... we eat, we eventually get insulin resistant?
Hi Freelea... You said in your video you didn't eat enough fruit in 2008 or 07 and went back to cooked food. How did it make you feel after the 9 months of eating raw??? and how long did it take you to get back to eating enough fruit and back to raw again... as in.... how many months did you eat the cooked then go back to raw? I've done raw off and on, but have struggled staying on it, and now I'm going to try it your way. :) Thanks for the great videos!
@Mafreaky777 It made me feel rotten literally. I ate cooked for about 1.5months (vegan but processed and high fat) in 2007. 100% is EASIER than 99% trust me! And the benefits are huge :)
@Freelea Hi Freelea, Thanks for responding!! and so fast! Right now I'm at your "before" weight. ;) I did get down to 125 in 2009 eating raw foods, but I did calorie restrict and mostly tried to eat vegetables. I'm 5'5. Obviously I wasn't eating enough, and went back to cooked food, and over the past few years, have gained all the weight back. I've learned a lot and am going to try again. Also have candida. It's always hard to get back onto raw when I've been eating cooked!
So I have a question...I am approximately 70-80 percent raw, but the main reason why I have been undereating fruit is because 3 years ago I was diagnosed with diabetes.....I turned it around and no longer have it, but should I go ahead and eat as much fruit as I crave even if I at one time had diabetes? If you tell me to go ahead and eat as much as I crave I will....(maybe then being a 100 percent raw will be much easier.....?????)
@LiquidButterflye You can cure type 2 diabetes on a raw vegan/vegan diet. Keep fat levels LOW and practice proper food combining. Please read Dr Neal Barnards book - Reversing diabetes :)
@LiquidButterflye Raw food can reverse it but keep MOST of your diet vegetable and green leafy produce. Low glycemic fruits are ok in moderation such as berries. And exercise as it works like insulin but without the needles and pain and drugs :) It has worked for me when I was insulin dependant. I still need to take metformin but no more insulin :)

@aliamacintyre Do your best, you don't need to eat organic ALL of the time. Go to the bargain bins, make friends with local organic shop/farmers, shop at wholesalers. Make your calories a priority in your life :)
@brunoccs God no, chocolate is the last thing on my mind because I'm getting so much good sugar from the fruit. If I undereat cooked food starts to smell more appealing for sure but I just eat up more fruit!
Hi! So I'm currently a meat eater bit only like turkey an chicken and I kinda wanna give this lifestyle a go. However I do live with my parents and am still I'm high school( senior baby) anyways my parents do buy fruit and veggies but not quite THAT much. What would you suggest an 18 year old girl on a budget buy for breakfast and lunch? Also since I am in school I cant exactly crack a melon open on the lunch table.... Hahaha thanks!
@aliamacintyre Who said you have to eat *just* bananas? Oh yeh - no one. You do realise there are plenty of other fruits to eat right? Dates, custard apples, apples, peaches, plums, mangoes, watermelon etc etc. That's why I moved to Thailand so I can eat my fav fruit all the time for cheap. Step up, put your health first and you will find a way to do this lifestyle.
@thatfruitarianchick I don't care what she looks like. Fruit has a lot of sugar and eating sugar is bad for you. It will catch up with you long term, even if short term you think you're healthy. I know people who eat 6000 calories a day of mostly meat, and they look great. Fruit should be no more than 15% of your diet. If you want to lose fat, eat at least 500g of dried fruit a day, preferable dried apricots. It is the best source of dietary fiber.
I started watching your videos 12 weeks ago. I am finding myself going mostly to Fruit. I find I want Fruit. I eat mostly Fruit, nuts, grains and some greens. Going 12 weeks now. Loosing weight and never hungry. The transformation is amazing. At work they are noticing. Comments like your skin looks so nice! We were designed to eat this way.
@guillermo6214 - There is sufficiently fat in fruits and greens yes. Also It's very easy to get enough EFA''s, we only need 3% of our calories coming from fat a day to get enough. Eating this way gives me 5-10% no worries.

of course...fruit still contains sugar and even though fruit sugars are consumed differently due to not being processed and separated, eating nothing but bananas (which is actually not a natural fruit technically, and is the highest GI index of fruits and veggies) will cause sizable increases in blood sugar. Much of the effects of these diets are a result of placebo effects (just as with HCG) combined with reduction in calories and an exercise regiment.

Freelea, you mention elsewhere that you eat nuts any time you feel like it, and in any amount you feel like. But nuts contain lots of fat - doesn't eating fruit followed by nuts, increase fat deposits (since fruits contain sugar, causing an insulin spike?)

Watched your videos, and I love them. I eat 80% raw lifestyle diet, mainly greens instead of fruit...but I am going to try to make fruit my main source of food. I eat very healthily, yet I am still over weight. I don't do a lot of exercise but i don't do no exercise. So I thought, I have nothing to loose in trying to switch my diet from mainly eating greens, to fruit. I am on day 2 at the moment, very early stages. Had 1/2 a water melon this morning. Feel, so amazing, it's unreal.
Hi Freela, yeah i agree with undereating, especially people who are very active. I've only recently noticed the difference when i load up on the fruit smoothies in particular gives me tons of energy.
Back in the 60's south Florida I lived on fresh fruit.. Sure I was a kid, but I alwas felt good and never went hungry as fruit in the groves that was ready to eat was OK to pick as it would not make it to market... A ten or fifteen mile walk was like one gigantic fruit buffet... So sad those days are gone...

Thank you Freelea, I will try this - youre such an inspiration! I feel sorry for people that keep eating anything society hits them with, with the excuse that life is too short.. or keep eating meat because "it is not healthy to be a vegetarian". I'm so fed up with all the lies, additives or antibiotics we stuff in our bodies without knowing it through the processed foods we are forced to ear. My mom told me that eating too much fruit it bad for you, and I always thought it was true so I limited the amount of fruit I eat. Now, I feel sooo weak like very fatigue and I'm afraid to eat fruit now because I'm not active and if I eat a lot of fruit will I gain weight?
emotion and nutrition are completly. i've struggled with severe depression since i was 10. since i went vegan 3 months ago and began mostly sustaining myself on fruits and nuts i have had no symptomes from my usual depression. years of therapy and pills just never worked for me like this.

You've given me serious reason to want to start loading up on fruit, but I have a question if you could help me: I've just been through learning about high protein diet (fish, legumes, eggs) and eating all the vegetables I can get -- and these people said that fruit has too high a sugar content (one apple has about 3 teaspoons of sugar in it) - and they said to only eat it once a week as a "treat" - but what do you think of the sugars in fruit? @RunnrX As I know the sugar in fruits is a low digestion process and even if you eat much fruits it doesn't cause any damage in your body. Fruits generally are high in vitamins and minerals and low in calories.

@ConquerersSpirit Could be blood type of general body makeup. We're all genetically different in terms of ethnicity, metabolism etc. Find what works for you! I don't think there is one gospel way to eat the key is finding out what to eat to feel really really good. Doing a detox often helps with that.

Not possible although there are some that think veganism or macro-biotic eating cures cancer, which has been disproven time and time again...while it can protect you against some other things when done correctly (although a too extreme raw food diet can lead to electrolyte imbalances and nutrient defiencies), the only way it would increase your lifespan is if you don't have a family history of cancer (most cancer is hereditary, with lung cancer in the past century the exception)
It's not related to food, otherwise you're promoting 'alternative medicine' conspiracy theories disguised as skepticism (the Garsson therapy has been discredited several times over if you bring up that hocus pocus...) Cancer is caused by a mixture of environmental and genetic factors but not smoking or eating vegan does not clear you of risk in any way.
It's not an innocent life, we've been eating meat for millions of years and the fact is, thinking of food as medicine takes the joy out of eating. This is your gig, that's cool but trust me, you're gonna want a hot dog one day. Although I know vegans who bypass that by trapping themselves in a vegan bubble by not hanging with anybody except vegans or not going to their parents thanksgiving dinner because they serve delicious, tender turkey and CREAMY mashed potatoes.
@PaulDenton14 If raw fruit is a medicine, it sure as hell is the best tasting medicine ever. However, since you need to eat 10-14 lbs. of food a DAY to supply your calorie needs on such a diet (even more if you're very active), this sounds like a variation of, "eat all the pleasurable convenience food you want." Yes, I do consider fruit to be convenience food, because it takes little time to prepare. Such a premise sounds too good to be true, or maybe, it's so good it must be true.

Thanks for this interesting video. I lost 35kg on a vegetarian diet over the last 6/7 months. Now i'm transitioning into eating mostly fruit/nuts/seeds. I definately feel better after moving away from the "typical" western diet. You look stunning and so healthy.

A Danish dietitian, I don't remember her name, said if you want to avoid lose skin when losing weight, one should eat citrus fruit. They have the ability to make the skin "shrink" when losing excess weight.

I am worried that this "fruit diet" will make me diabetic. I do have a family history of diabetes. I also have high acidity in my stomach and my mom has such a huge problem with that she can't even eat tomatoes or tomato-based foods, oranges, pineapple and a whole lot of other fruits. I still believe in moderation and to do what's best for YOU. Some people adapt well to eating less and exercising less, others adapt well to eating more and exercising more, for instance.
@sashmiller93 Fruits including pineapples are actually alkaline once it is digested. Your mother's ulcers where probably caused by other things in her diet (maybe meat, dairy, bread, pasta) or stress. Fruits are very safe for the body and the easiest to digest.

Most people must realize that not one type of diet is for everyone. I am a bodybuilder and I have got stronger on a vegan diet, but partially that has to do with the body being able to clean itself up and repair. Thats a diet composed of all things: nuts, fruits, seeds, (don't eat grains) vegetables, seaweeds. Essentially it worked for me but has failed others miserably I know what works for me but I am an mesomorph which goes against science. but for others this diet simply does not work
Show me scientific evidence that fruit/veg actually has any health benefits. You will not find any that suggest anything beyond 2 portions of veg per day having a weak correlation with cancer prevention.
And not every cell in the body runs on glucose.. the heart prefers ketones for instance.

From raw vegetarian ( I eat honey) diet I naturally turned to fruits. It` so easy just live on it, yet I started to experience that my teeth loosing calcium probably,and at their end I almost can see through them. Of course i`ts not the fruits fault. Possibly my system is not ready ( my digestion was problematic since childhood). It`s just sad because I should cut back sweet fruits and it`s actually hard for me to do. I everyone who live on high fruit diet without problem. Any solution?
I don't know about eating a lot of fruits, but I love to eat veggies since veggies build your body up while the fruits provides your body with energy. It's all about balance y'all.
@spruntfemalespray She didnt say more calories, she said denser. Cooked foods are denser because they have the water cooked out of them, so volume wise they take up less room. You could get the same amount of calories from say 10 bananas and a big mac meal but the big mac meal would take up less room in your stomach, which would be beneficial if you were starving because you could get more calories for less stomach room, meaning you can cram much more in :)

I have heard that the fiber in raw fruit, some fruit has more fiber than others, is what keeps the person from overdosing on fructose. This probably can vary from person to person depending on their genetic makeup, and the status of thier body systems as well.

@tropicallanterns ...duh, no. But 6 inches of celery is the same length as 6 inches of snicker bar. A calorie is a unit for energy ... of course 100 cals of fruits and veggies are healthier and gives more vitamins then 100 cals of snicker bar but they both provide 100 freaking calories !!!

I agree...we do sit down & eat tons of junk food but then contridict this vid...I get it. a cake can have 50 grms of carbs well i can replace that with fruit carbs...

@Freelea The high fruit raw diet does not work for me personally, actually it made me fatter.(after 2 months)
how ever, my asian friend seems to thrive on it. Just saying that this does not work for everyone.
In my personal experience some people get fat when eating fruit and lose weight when eating proteins, and some people lose a lot of weight on the high fruit raw diet, and eating protein doesn't really do much for them in terms of weightloss. 2 pieces of fruit is my max.
@yvonne84 : Protein is satiating. More satiating than fat or carbohydrate. That's why hunter/gatherers are lean and don't suffer from the standard diseases of civilization. Look at The Kitava Study for example.
@Freelea I`m inspired.. but I was not able to catch the website you mentioned. Keep up the good work! I`m currently on the McDougall diet and it contains mostly of starches and it has helped me to keep a vegan where I live, it is a low fat vegan as I don`t use any free oils and have limited my intake of nuts and seeds. I will move to Thailand soon and I`m planning a Raw experience there. =)

Maybe you have answered this before but what about the sugar crash after all that fruit?? One time I ate three apples to try and have more fruit and I nearly shit my pants. I had to crap in my work truck because I couldn't make it to the bathroom. I was in pain from the sudden pressure and release. That was not fun and if I try to eat more than one banana in one sitting I get sleepy. How does this work ??

Hi Freelea... You said in your video you didn't eat enough fruit in 2008 or 07 and went back to cooked food. How did it make you feel after the 9 months of eating raw??? and how long did it take you to get back to eating enough fruit and back to raw again... as in.... how many months did you eat the cooked then go back to raw? I've done raw off and on, but have struggled staying on it, and now I'm going to try it your way. :) Thanks for the great videos!

@Mafreaky777 It made me feel rotten literally. I ate cooked for about 1.5months (vegan but processed and high fat) in 2007. 100% is EASIER than 99% trust me! And the benefits are huge :)

@Freelea Hi Freelea, Thanks for responding!! and so fast! Right now I'm at your "before" weight. ;) I did get down to 125 in 2009 eating raw foods, but I did calorie restrict and mostly tried to eat vegetables. I'm 5'5. Obviously I wasn't eating enough, and went back to cooked food, and over the past few years, have gained all the weight back. I've learned a lot and am going to try again. Also have candida. It's always hard to get back onto raw when I've been eating cooked!

So I have a question...I am approximately 70-80 percent raw, but the main reason why I have been undereating fruit is because 3 years ago I was diagnosed with diabetes.....I turned it around and no longer have it, but should I go ahead and eat as much fruit as I crave even if I at one time had diabetes? If you tell me to go ahead and eat as much as I crave I will....(maybe then being a 100 percent raw will be much easier.....?????)

@LiquidButterflye You can cure type 2 diabetes on a raw vegan/vegan diet. Keep fat levels LOW and practice proper food combining. Please read Dr Neal Barnards book - Reversing diabetes :)

@LiquidButterflye Raw food can reverse it but keep MOST of your diet vegetable and green leafy produce. Low glycemic fruits are ok in moderation such as berries. And exercise as it works like insulin but without the needles and pain and drugs :) It has worked for me when I was insulin dependant. I still need to take metformin but no more insulin :)

@aliamacintyre Do your best, you don't need to eat organic ALL of the time. Go to the bargain bins, make friends with local organic shop/farmers, shop at wholesalers. Make your calories a priority in your life :)

Hi! So I'm currently a meat eater bit only like turkey an chicken and I kinda wanna give this lifestyle a go. However I do live with my parents and am still I'm high school( senior baby) anyways my parents do buy fruit and veggies but not quite THAT much. What would you suggest an 18 year old girl on a budget buy for breakfast and lunch? Also since I am in school I cant exactly crack a melon open on the lunch table.... Hahaha thanks!

@thatfruitarianchick I don't care what she looks like. Fruit has a lot of sugar and eating sugar is bad for you. It will catch up with you long term, even if short term you think you're healthy. I know people who eat 6000 calories a day of mostly meat, and they look great. Fruit should be no more than 15% of your diet. If you want to lose fat, eat at least 500g of dried fruit a day, preferable dried apricots. It is the best source of dietary fiber.

I started watching your videos 12 weeks ago. I am finding myself going mostly to Fruit. I find I want Fruit. I eat mostly Fruit, nuts, grains and some greens. Going 12 weeks now. Loosing weight and never hungry. The transformation is amazing. At work they are noticing. Comments like your skin looks so nice! We were designed to eat this way.

@guillermo6214 - There is sufficiently fat in fruits and greens yes. Also It's very easy to get enough EFA''s, we only need 3% of our calories coming from fat a day to get enough. Eating this way gives me 5-10% no worries.

of course...fruit still contains sugar and even though fruit sugars are consumed differently due to not being processed and separated, eating nothing but bananas (which is actually not a natural fruit technically, and is the highest GI index of fruits and veggies) will cause sizable increases in blood sugar. Much of the effects of these diets are a result of placebo effects (just as with HCG) combined with reduction in calories and an exercise regiment.

Freelea, you mention elsewhere that you eat nuts any time you feel like it, and in any amount you feel like. But nuts contain lots of fat - doesn't eating fruit followed by nuts, increase fat deposits (since fruits contain sugar, causing an insulin spike?)

Watched your videos, and I love them. I eat 80% raw lifestyle diet, mainly greens instead of fruit...but I am going to try to make fruit my main source of food. I eat very healthily, yet I am still over weight. I don't do a lot of exercise but i don't do no exercise. So I thought, I have nothing to loose in trying to switch my diet from mainly eating greens, to fruit. I am on day 2 at the moment, very early stages. Had 1/2 a water melon this morning. Feel, so amazing, it's unreal.

Back in the 60's south Florida I lived on fresh fruit.. Sure I was a kid, but I alwas felt good and never went hungry as fruit in the groves that was ready to eat was OK to pick as it would not make it to market... A ten or fifteen mile walk was like one gigantic fruit buffet... So sad those days are gone...
Maybe eating so much fruit did help...

emotion and nutrition are completly. i've struggled with severe depression since i was 10. since i went vegan 3 months ago and began mostly sustaining myself on fruits and nuts i have had no symptomes from my usual depression. years of therapy and pills just never worked for me like this.

Hi Freelea - thanks for this video. You've given me serious reason to want to start loading up on fruit, but I have a question if you could help me: I've just been through learning about high protein diet (fish, legumes, eggs) and eating all the vegetables I can get -- and these people said that fruit has too high a sugar content (one apple has about 3 teaspoons of sugar in it) - and they said to only eat it once a week as a "treat" - but what do you think of the sugars in fruit? Thanks! :D

@RunnrX As I know the sugar in fruits is a low digestion process and even if you eat much fruits it doesn't cause any damage in your body. Fruits generally are high in vitamins and minerals and low in calories.

I tried fruit on the raw food diet and didn't lose much weight until I started eating mostly greens and only alkaline forming fruit. I'm also eating more nuts and seeds now and losing weight faster. I would love to eat more fruit but it just wasn't working for me. Eventually maybe I can transition into more fruit.

@ConquerersSpirit Could be blood type of general body makeup. We're all genetically different in terms of ethnicity, metabolism etc. Find what works for you! I don't think there is one gospel way to eat the key is finding out what to eat to feel really really good. Doing a detox often helps with that.

Not possible although there are some that think veganism or macro-biotic eating cures cancer, which has been disproven time and time again...while it can protect you against some other things when done correctly (although a too extreme raw food diet can lead to electrolyte imbalances and nutrient defiencies), the only way it would increase your lifespan is if you don't have a family history of cancer (most cancer is hereditary, with lung cancer in the past century the exception)

It's not related to food, otherwise you're promoting 'alternative medicine' conspiracy theories disguised as skepticism (the Garsson therapy has been discredited several times over if you bring up that hocus pocus...) Cancer is caused by a mixture of environmental and genetic factors but not smoking or eating vegan does not clear you of risk in any way.

It's not an innocent life, we've been eating meat for millions of years and the fact is, thinking of food as medicine takes the joy out of eating. @PaulDenton14 If raw fruit is a medicine, it sure as hell is the best tasting medicine ever. However, since you need to eat 10-14 lbs. of food a DAY to supply your calorie needs on such a diet (even more if you're very active), this sounds like a variation of, "eat all the pleasurable convenience food you want." Yes, I do consider fruit to be convenience food, because it takes little time to prepare. Such a premise sounds too good to be true, or maybe, it's so good it must be true.

Is it true you can avoid lose skin by eating citrus fruits?
A Danish dietitian, I don't remember her name, said if you want to avoid lose skin when losing weight, one should eat citrus fruit. They have the ability to make the skin "shrink" when losing excess weight.
It is quite awhile ago I heard it and I don't know if there are some truth in it. Hopefully you or durianriders can answer my strange question.

I am worried that this "fruit diet" will make me diabetic. I do have a family history of diabetes. I also have high acidity in my stomach and my mom has such a huge problem with that she can't even eat tomatoes or tomato-based foods, oranges, pineapple and a whole lot of other fruits. I still believe in moderation and to do what's best for YOU. Some people adapt well to eating less and exercising less, others adapt well to eating more and exercising more, for instance.

@sashmiller93 Fruits including pineapples are actually alkaline once it is digested. Your mother's ulcers where probably caused by other things in her diet (maybe meat, dairy, bread, pasta) or stress. Fruits are very safe for the body and the easiest to digest.

Most people must realize that not one type of diet is for everyone. I am a bodybuilder and I have got stronger on a vegan diet, but partially that has to do with the body being able to clean itself up and repair. Thats a diet composed of all things: nuts, fruits, seeds, (don't eat grains) vegetables, seaweeds. Essentially it worked for me but has failed others miserably I know what works for me but I am an mesomorph which goes against science. but for others this diet simply does not work

Show me scientific evidence that fruit/veg actually has any health benefits. You will not find any that suggest anything beyond 2 portions of veg per day having a weak correlation with cancer prevention.
And not every cell in the body runs on glucose.. the heart prefers ketones for instance.

From raw vegetarian ( I eat honey) diet I naturally turned to fruits. It` so easy just live on it, yet I started to experience that my teeth loosing calcium probably,and at their end I almost can see through them. Of course i`ts not the fruits fault. Possibly my system is not ready ( my digestion was problematic since childhood). It`s just sad because I should cut back sweet fruits and it`s actually hard for me to do. I everyone who live on high fruit diet without problem. Any solution?

I don't know about eating a lot of fruits, but I love to eat veggies since veggies build your body up while the fruits provides your body with energy. It's all about balance y'all.

@spruntfemalespray She didnt say more calories, she said denser. Cooked foods are denser because they have the water cooked out of them, so volume wise they take up less room. You could get the same amount of calories from say 10 bananas and a big mac meal but the big mac meal would take up less room in your stomach, which would be beneficial if you were starving because you could get more calories for less stomach room, meaning you can cram much more in :)

i just bought three gloves of bananas from daily it cost me 6 bucks thats for tomorrows lunch and dinner oh and for breakfast i might eat some toast
so everyday i would spend about 8 bucks x 30day =240 bucks !
noooooo! 2 gloves a day so 180 bucks! that better.
but its not cheaper that what i normally spend for food a week!

you know what I have been reading the comments on here and they are not necessary really. I bet if someone at nothing but meat they would praise them? What if she ate a whole chicken for breakfast a steak for lunch and 12 slices of bacon for dinner? you guys would be cheering her on. People need to stop acting like meat is this golden thing like it's some damn thing to be worshiped.

I have heard that the fiber in raw fruit, some fruit has more fiber than others, is what keeps the person from overdosing on fructose. This probably can vary from person to person depending on their genetic makeup, and the status of thier body systems as well.

@tropicallanterns ...duh, no. But 6 inches of celery is the same length as 6 inches of snicker bar. A calorie is a unit for energy ... of course 100 cals of fruits and veggies are healthier and gives more vitamins then 100 cals of snicker bar but they both provide 100 freaking calories !!!

@Freelea The high fruit raw diet does not work for me personally, actually it made me fatter.(after 2 months)
how ever, my asian friend seems to thrive on it. Just saying that this does not work for everyone.
In my personal experience some people get fat when eating fruit and lose weight when eating proteins, and some people lose a lot of weight on the high fruit raw diet, and eating protein doesn't really do much for them in terms of weightloss. 2 pieces of fruit is my max.

@yvonne84 : Protein is satiating. More satiating than fat or carbohydrate. That's why hunter/gatherers are lean and don't suffer from the standard diseases of civilization. Look at The Kitava Study for example.

@Freelea I`m inspired.. but I was not able to catch the website you mentioned. Keep up the good work! I`m currently on the McDougall diet and it contains mostly of starches and it has helped me to keep a vegan where I live, it is a low fat vegan as I don`t use any free oils and have limited my intake of nuts and seeds. I will move to Thailand soon and I`m planning a Raw experience there. =)
