I cry every time I see this footage. This is the most amazing hurdles race ever run.. technically phenomenal. It inspires such faith in modern (clean) athletics. Sally will get that (dirty) World Record and will do it on ability & mad determination alone. There are no words, shes the best hurdler that will ever live.
@doinotna You're not poking holes anywhere darling. I already told you that you're beloved Jamaicans are so much better than the Americans so I hope you feel better. I'm just tired of your lame excuses and lack of honesty and really wish for you to leave me the fuck alone. Seriously. I said what I had to say so what ever you believe you don't need to share it with me. I'm not interested in a dialogue with you. I'm really not.
@phebeharris Such language.... lol. Plus I don't think Jamaicans are just plain better than Americans, that's too broad a generalization so I would never ask you to say that. It all depends also on being better at what too. :) Good luck! In the Oly and all that stuff!
@gerrardgooding LOL! I know the time is LEGIT. It's OFFICIAL too. She leaves no room for error? She leaps a little to closely to the hurdles. That could explain why she looses ground. Beautiful sprinting but there's is room for improvement especially if she wants to win gold. If she runs this exact way at London and still lose, what will be your excuse?
@Gerrardgooding Shutup. I never claimed to be an expert, but I know more than you and others. I didn't take anything away from her win nor am I hating. I'm talking about the rigged time that was manipulated for her to break and she didn't. I'm talking about her average sprint which tells me she didn't improve much but on her start. I'm questioning whether she can win gold while losing ground over every leap over the hurdle. I'm questioning whether she will be disappointed again.
12:28 thats what the clock says in the background undisputed fact there. I think it's Lolo Jones pissing her pants about how she is going win in London against that so abit of mindgames online maybe haha,AUSTRALIA SLEDGING THE WORLD SINCE 1877, we started that game long time ago.
@doinotna She didn't run 12.28. Another brain washed onlooker who doesn't understand the sport. She wasn't going away from the field. She lost her huge gap by the finish line. It was cut in half. I've been watching Pearson for a while, and though she improved on her 100m, mainly the start, she didn't improve on her hurdles. Her start is her bread and better and she better hope others don't get an equal start or better at the olympics because she going to have a hard time catching up.
@phebeharris You again? Get over it damn. She ran a 12:28 and until you can prove otherwise, that is LEGIT. No one is brainwashed, someone is just a hater and refuses to give credit where credit is due. It doesn't matter if she was slow at some parts of the race, she FINISHED it ahead of everyone else still. This only proves she can get better and better. Sally isn't an athlete that is complacent, she'll keep improving. You better hope the rest of them will be able to keep up with her.
@phebeharris She didn't run 12.28? So she ran what? 12.6/12.4? >_> That's a crazed and delusional conspiracy theory clearly... Why would the IAAF rig the results for the 100mH race in particular? Besides, you can do digital analysis of the race to get the real time. If the time was bogus we would know by now. Plus the only persons to gain on her in that race are Dawn and Danielle...
@doinotna I have not contradict myself. I'll say it again. Her technique is good but she isn't quick enough. If she runs like she did here she may not win gold in 2012. I don't see what everyone see in this event. She loses ground with every leap over the hurdle. That is not a good sign. She needs to work on her speed. Yes, you can't get any better technique wise than what Pearson did but you can get better speed wise. Her start is her bread and better, her default is she don't add to that.
@Max0077 Max I'm not taking anything away from her win. She was ahead by a great margin and it was cut in half by the finish line. I know a lot about track and the time is questionable. I know that she is 100m sprinter and she will have to get quicker if she wants to win in 2012. She doesn't gain ground when she leaps over the hurdle but lose ground. That is not a good sign. This sprint wasn't fast at all. They will have juice the time even more during the Olympics if they run like this.
@phebeharris You keep contradicting yourself. You claim that she looses ground while going over the hurdles but she has superior technique. But yet she is slow... >_< Technique takes into consideration everything that involves getting over the hurdle. As a former hurdler... I can say without a doubt that you cannot get much better technique-wise than what Pearson did in that race, she reminds me of Robles of 2008.
@doinotna Don't worry. Everybody on youtube is a self proclaimed expert these days. I agree, her technique is one of the best I've seen. She leaves no room for error when she jumps over those hurdles. Not much air to it. She won the race in a championship record time. No one can take that away from her. Not even self proclaimed experts on youtube lol!
@gerrardgooding She hurdles like a dream.... Anyone who doesn't see that is just plain biased... She snaps perfectly, spends very little time in the air, doesn't over hurdle (jump too high). waits to the last second to jump over the hurdle (maximizing her time to run between the hurdles)... technique-wise.... a dream....
@MissJustCurious She snaps over the hurdlers cleanly, perfectly, and beautifully but not quick. If she wants to win in 2012 she better work on her speed.
@phebeharris she is miles ahead of the other miss whatever ur name is no one is running them times that she is and if u know track or about the athletes then u wshld know that she was a 100m sprinter b4
@Alex8grade She not breaking down barriers. There's no such thing as a white person breaking down barriers. There's more white people in Athletics than any other race. And she's not speeding. Speed is something that she needs to work on. Her technique is superior.
Perfect form by Pearson. 4 steps and jump . . all in the same place on each and every hurdle. Trail leg the same exact height over every hurdle. Didn't look like she was struggling one bit. Each step over the hurdle was a power step. Just perfect form.
Had Gail Devers had Pearson's form back in the 1990s, Gail would've broken the world record. But she was a sprinter running hurdles, and her speed ( ironically ) was her biggest downfall at times.
Sally look so cool! she is so quiet and full concern,, danielle Caruthers also..look this two womens has a great mentality to ctach this final..Congratulation Sally.
I might be a Kiwi but even I have to admit this was the performance of the entire championships. In how many races could the Olympic champ run a PB and get absolutely destroyed?
Congrats to sally! Great race

12"28 est un chrono énorme , elle se rapproche énormèment d'un chrono ( 12.21 ) que l'on croyait inaccessible
Je suis persuader qu'elle battra le record du monde .
