Wow! I had this record 78 rpm probably recorded late 40s early 50s. Flip side was Heap Big Smoke. Played on an player that only played 78s--that's how old it was!

Here in Honolulu, in the 1960s, a popular radio DJ was known as the "Weird Beard" (Bob Lowrie). He also hosted a Saturday afternoon horror/sci-fi movie on TV. Undoubtedly there were other similarly-named DJs in other parts of the USA in those years too - the two words do rhyme well.
