Just like a normal accent. Since u are from Sierra Leone can u speak French also? PS 确实很漂亮。。。

  • @candiiiiicane aww thanks ^_^

  • @candiiiiicane Her Chinese is good But I don't think her Chinese is better than you if you really are a Chinese

  • @Viola011y \

most people in China do not understand or speak Standard Mandarin

  • @KillCoonsKKK You're wrong they Do understand Standard Mandarin. But not everybody can speak fully standard Mandarin, just as no everyone can speak fully standard British English or American English in U.S and England. A lot of people have accents.

  • @Viola011y

unlike you, I am an expert on Chinese language and have 13 books published on Chinese language. I just finished a 6 month study all across Chinese testing literacy in villages and less than 25% of Chinese people can recognize enough characters to read a news paper. If you look on the Chinese government website their own statistics show that 50% are fluent, it was 87% before, reality is that most people over 50 are illiterate.

  • @KillCoonsKKK You Said "Speaking" no "Writing"~! And I was talking about Speaking.

    Btw the percents is 5%~!

  • @Viola011y

most Chinese do not speak Standard Mandarin, The "great leap forward" and the "cultural revolution" was characterized by killing, punishing or marginalizing teachers, the educated and literates. It was a "peoples" revolution and education was not encourages, millions were murdered. My wife's entire village elders are illiterate, anyone over 50 years old. When I visit, I am the only one that speaks Mandarin, and no, they cannot understand me. (1800 people) 180 km form BJ.

  • @KillCoonsKKK That's so funny~! If that case, I also can say any statistics that doesn't come out of China has been tampered~ I have living in China for a long time and I have not ever met a Chinese people TOTALLY cannot read. Some old people they might not be able to read advance Newspaper but they still can read characters.

  • @Viola011y

literacy as defined by the W.H.O. should be the standard. China's standard is 1500 characters for a rural dweller and 2000 for a city dweller, and this is recognition, not writing or comprehension. most laowai find safe places that are "foreigner" friendly and are in academic institutions as teachers. "Advance newspapers", what is that, a news paper with polysyllabic words? do you notice how rare newspapers are? most buy to sit on at train stations.

  • @KillCoonsKKK yeah y~y~I think I'm also an illiteracy. I don't really know VB, Dreamweaver or sth else. I only know how to use some basic operations as MC Office. And if in your standard or that standard you think is, there are must be a lot of Chinese are illiteracies. I don't need to as people the meanings of "zero",or "rain, caz that's sooo funny~! You should ask 20 people what's the meaning of 囧at the market, that you will found there are more than 50 percent of Chinese are illiteracies.

  • @Viola011y

any statistics that comes out of China is washed to make it look favourable to China. I have worked in cities of 350,000 people where only the high school English teacher and I spoke Mandarin and English.

  • It's common that no every single person can read advance characters. Does every American people can read New York Time? In the same way, people have different education levels in each country.

I don't understand why do you clutch this question so tightly? It's no a big deal, I doubt your purpose.

  • @Viola011y

what are advanced characters? many would say I am the world authority as I am the most published author on chinese character writing and I have never heard the word.

next time you are at the market, take paper and pen and ask 20 people to write the character for "zero", "rain", you will be surprised

  • 你非常的可爱

  • @MrStronghaha 谢谢你!!!

  • you are so lovely

  • Speak very well , btw im Chinese and i have a friend from Sierra leone ,and we are study in Italy now .

So cool. It's interesting noting the differences between your Chinese and mine (I've studied about 3 years total, been there for study abroad, and getting ready to go to there for grad school), with yours showing the effect of extended time in China, especially the cadence and rhythm of Chinese of authentic Mandarin. (wondering how long that will take to develop for me haha)

  • You said it right. You are family now. It's a deep bond and relationship. They really have your back and you'll probably never know the depth of their love for you and what extent they'll go to help you if you ever needed help. They would come close risking a lot to help you. You truly have an extended family in their culture. You make me proud.
