As for what they are, depends on which one you mean, really... there's Aya, the tengu, Reimu, the world's most sinful shrine maiden, Marisa, the kleptomaniac witch whose signature move is basically Hyper Beam on steroids, Sakuya, a maid who serves a vampire, throws knives, can stop time, and certainly doesn't pad her chest... the list goes on. x.x Seriously, Touhou is awesome, but completely insane.

what actually touhou is? is it game or anime? i've seen touhou - bad apple vid. & i fall in love with it. so, i've tried search to know more about touhou. but, i confused & still didn't get the answer. can someone tell me what touhou really is.....?

@drkcrmsn Touhou is actually a series of bullet hell shooter games for the computer. It's got about a dozen different games, starring a staggering amounts of characters who are all lolis. If you want to know more, I suggest the Touhou Wiki, or even trying to download a trial of one of the games yourself!
