I've been looking for this for years -- Volkswagen ripped this off about 6 years ago for an ad campaign that won many awards... I'm sure Sesame Street never got credit! Glad you posted it!
Wow I have been wanting to see this for years. I loved this. I also remember a 'circle' version and a 'triangle' version. I don't think I have seen this since I was about 6 so, its been a good 25 years or so. Thanks!
I remember this, especially the way the square figure 'wraps around' the various square-shaped objects. Also, does anyone out there have the one similar to this, but with circles? Just wondering. Thanks.
They did another one like this, but about circles, I remember watching it when I was just a wee lad :). I remember the music even--it was a rather solemn/suspensful piece played with vibes & tympani... (Is this one also here on Youtube?)
I remember this, where the square 'wraps to fit' around the various square items (e.g. road sign). I'm going to check right now if the 'circles' clip (same idea) is on YouTube. If it isn't, is there anyone who might have it? Thanks.
It aounds almost like Sonia Manzano (the actress playing Maria), though I might be wrong; Sesame Street usually had cast members speak offscreen in these films.
This clip is awesome -- been looking for it for years!

THANKS for posting this - been looking for it for ages! I always thought VW stole this idea for their New Beetle "Squares" campaign in 2002-03.

They did one on triangles? I remember only this one, and circles (which they did with softer sounding music).

yeah it could be circles, you are probably right on this, seeing the did feature a lot of skits with the four basic shapes.
