@Jamperl2 The RetroTy.com text is just a way to bring people back to my youtube channel if the video is shown elsewhere and people want to know where to find more. No actual website (yet)
One thing about the 80s, I loved the general art direction you seen back then. It was widely diverse and ran the gamut as far as use of the full color spectrum. Colors were brighter and crisp. It's sad that you rarely see this type of use of color nowadays. I guess it's trend, but muted colors seems more the "in" thing, which is a shame, considering now with HD, bright full colored style of the 80s would look freakin AMAZING on an HD tv set! The title's true 80s, "We shine bright and strong!"
Netflix has MANY of the old great cartoons from the 80's in their catalog now! Voltron,He-man, She-ra, Inspector gafdget, heathcliff, thundercats too i beleve
Best Shows ever: He-Man, She-Ra, Voltron, Transformers, Inspector Gadget, The Real Ghostbusters, Transformers, Gummi Bears, Teddy Ruxpin, Thunder Cats, Pirates of Dark Water, The Mario Brothers Cartoon Show, Legend of Zelda.......
I remember the opening, but I never really cared for the show. When this came on, we usually changed the channel, or went and played with our toys for 30 minutes, till something else came on. Whats sad is that TV looks like like the one we had in our living room. Also, unlike kids today, we never had a TV in our room. There was one in the living room, and one in our parents room.
@Motorcyclephil Yup! I rarely watched this show. But some of the episodes were really good. This show kinda signaled the end of saturday cartoons for me as a kid because at noon this would go of and regular tv would come on. I alwaysed loved this intro though
Right? I do that all the time. Holy shit, was this good to see. I yelled out "THIS IS IT!" like a little kid and I'm 28. Why can't TV be like this again?
@GLITZandGLOOM if enough people get together( we're not alone in loving real classic tv from the past)maybe we can bring back some oldies for real and give bs tv a real run for their money?I'm game and tv nowadays is meant to dumb u down and brainwash you!pushing everything from racism to drugs to sex. its disgusting. If only we could organize!Shoot me a list of some of your favs from the 70's and 80's!Funny thing i cant think of 1 bad show that actually lasted more than a season in the 80s
Well, obviously. Doesn't mean TV can't be good again. Especially for kids today. Thankfully a lot of the things we grew up on is on DVD, but then again, a lot of stuff isn't. Thank God for YouTube.
This really takes me back. I was much happier then, probably because I was a kid, but when I watch this a small sliver of that ... silver spoons-neverending story-punky brewster... happiness surfaces. Thanks for the upload, I'll be coming back to this video a lot. +fav
CBS Storybreak was great, Bob Keeshan alias Captain Kangaroo did a great job on the show and Malcolm Jamar Warner was pretty good, too, but no one could fill Bob's shoes
and BTW, when this show debut, we still had Press Your Luck, Knight Rider, Airwolf, Magnum, P.I., Simon & Simon, Dallas, Knots Landing, Falcon Crest, Scarecrow and Mrs. King, Night Tracks, Kids Incorporated, NWA World Championship Wrestling, America's Top 10, The Cosby Show, Snorks, Miami Vice and HUNTER
Wish i was round the 80`s,they look cool.i was born in 1991 lol

Nostalgia bug bit us all...I forgot about this 1...it's a tough call but the ABC afterschool special intro slightly edges this 1 out for me...

This music is what spawned my love for progressive metal bands such as Dream Theater and Liquid Tension Experiment.
