Bush defined 'weapons of mass destruction' with a loose meaning.
The FBI agent told our family the gov't was defining an airplane as a 'weapon' of mass destruction, b/c it had already been used to kill thousands of our people.
Then he told us (the agent did) that he would deny he said it if we ever told anyone.
Shortly after he told us that, even tho we'd told nobody, the agent was released from his position at work.
There are still, and always have been, rabid supporters of the mildly retarded George W. Bush (I did not realize that Cheney had actually allowed these idiots to go THAT far) here in the States, but at the same time, he has also earned the deserved title of the worst president in the history of the United States. There will be a lot of problem inbreds in the "strychnine belt" here that just look for any excuse to spew hate at anyone pretty much, and I guess we have to wait them out.
This stuff is insane. An they actually think this is the best way? Try the worse thing that could happen.
At the first I thought people would realize their mistakes after electing him the first time. But appereantly no. And there are still that many people who thinks he's a good president? I mean logic would say that by now no one believes he's good president.
" the wisest course would have been ... to slaughter iraqis until the complied" .. And this they believe?

Let Bush try to suspend the Constitution & declare himself dictator. lol heres a way to practice #1 Lie atleast 23 hours a day...your not up 24 hours? then if your awake then lie #2 Stick your foot, or a shoe, in your mouth when practicing it works wonders! Lastly find some moral high ground and never submit even if your opposition has 70 moral objections to your one :P From a yank lol english acc. are much better anyway
(Note that when the Borg - who clearly practice "conquest by assimilation" - capture Jean Luc Picard, he adopts the name "Locutus" - a Roman name, deriving from Latin "loqui", meaning "to speak", as he is their "voice" to speak with the humans. Or, in other words, the Borg are based on the Romans, and their "conquest by assimilation" is just "Pax Romana" in a sci-fi setting.)
Their enemies were a disorganised rabble who just charged blindly, believing that mere "passion" wins battles.
Well, it doesn't.
As Sun Tsu, the author of "The Art of War", also independently discovered on the other side of the world, cold strategy is what actually wins wars. Numbers helps - but, without strategy, you lose, however great and numerous your armies.
The Romans used regimented armies to create a literal "war machine". Other than the Spartans, from which the Romans stole the idea, no-one in that part of the world at that time had ever seen anything like it.
They had no idea how to counter it, and that's how the Romans conquered most of the known world of the time.
And very much an integral part of that strategy was the targeted killing of the current ruling powers.
For example, on arrival in Britain, the Romans made for the Isle of Anglesey - the heart (the HQ, if you will) of the ruling Druidic priesthood of the islands.
And they slaughtered them. Every single last druid they found. They wiped them out.
And, yes, it was a strategic "targeted assassination". Purposeful cultural genocide.
The Druids were Rome's main rival to rule over the Britons. So they wiped them out and eradicated all trace of them, to claim rule over the Britons for themselves.
But they did not, as a general rule, attack the population itself (except when it rebelled, as with Boadicea, just to put them back in their place).
In fact, Britons were offered jobs. They constructed Roman cities and laid Roman roads. They brought Roman irrigation and technology and the Latin language.
Then they offered this luxurious lifestyle to those Britons who would rule over Britain for them.
Thanks! Never thought about it that way.

Julius Caesar was NOT Consul at the time he returned to Rome. That's factually wrong.
Julius Caesar did NOT conquer by mass slaughter. He pioneered the standard Roman strategy adopted thereafter - conquest by assimilation.

Rome was a mighty city, but just a city.
There would have been no feasible way, at that time, for a city to control most of the known world, by sheer military strength.
If rebellion broke out, then it would take weeks, if not months, to march an army across the Empire to respond.
Rome's military strength was learnt from the Spartans (well, all of Rome's knowledge and technology was basically "borrowed" from the Greeks).
Namely, regimented armies. Training and organisation. Use of strategy.

They wiped out the "competition".
