Ye, my sis has the G1, its good but, like someone said its for the more tacky material side, for teens. the X1 is for the techies. sophisticated and a powerhouse, this phone literally eats old phones for fuel.

I think so, I can't say that with certainty, as i'm in african bush at the moment and i don't have here, let alone a 3g network....

But It uses windows mobile so I'm sure you will be able to get some drivers for it, if it doesn't work striaght out of the box!

I have owned this phone for about 3 weeks now. No way is my one half as fast as this. Its also prone to freezing and is very fragile. When the handsfree is connected and a call is made the phone will end the call its self. Even with the screen powered down.....

We all know the good stuff but this is the other side of the coin.....

the phone doen't work for verizon because they use CDMA and this phone as with pretty much all unlocked phones uses GSM meaning it will work with at&t or t-mobile but with t-mobile you won't be able to use their 3g network. As for the price drop my guess is yes eventually but nothing major any time soon

MAte this phone is 3G, HSPDA, and GSM.. so you will be able to use any 3g network.

no you see assuming at least this is the x1a, idk what version of the phone you aussies use, it will not be able to be used on the t-moblie 3g network because its on a band that is not supported by the x1a. Not all gsm phones work work with all 3g networks. The xperia x1 works on at&t 3g network but not verizons or t-moblies. This is because verizon uses EVDO which is CDMA and t-moblie uses 1700mhz which is not supported by this device (assuming this is the x1a)

Mate, they don't even sell the X-1s here in australia yet, I got my one last week as i was coming out of Africa.

Sorry Mate i was wrong, the "G" indication on the phone i assumed to be GSM, when in fact it was GPRS. Which is is also G2.5.

The main thing though is it has HSDPA and 3G... Anyway I'm really happy with it!!
