No not really and I don't dispute that for the most part either.
The RCC that canonized the New Testament and the Jews who authored and gaurded the Old Testament believe that the Bible is stories and history as well as social law and neither took scripture as being 100% literal but inspired by God- only a fool would fall for that when in the first chapter of Genesis there are 2 conflitcting creation accounts.
So what if we encompassed other traditions and customs ?
