  • JB3 or V3 which one got the best performance?

  • Buy a 335i, an m3 kit if wanted (revozport), then add a jb3 pnp, a code 3 intercooler, riss downpipes and catback and dual injen intake- filters. It will be an m3 killer. Although i also like m3's. But 2 turbos with a straight six is sex!

  • @dilaro4 equal performance, jb3 is cheaper and easy to install at home

  • No bad, the real power comes with a 100 octane tune. I LOVE the wonderful chassis and suspension.

  • hold that gear out! hahah

  • is it v3?

  • the only problem with the vishnu performance set up is that the bmw automatic trans. can't handle the power. and the dealer WILL find out and won't pay for trans. replacement!! it will void your warranty!!

  • learn to gift fucker

  • dude is this filmed in danville?!?! hahaha

  • lol yeah theyre on tassajara coming out of blackhawk they passed my house! lol

  • wat song?

  • Alien Ant Farm - The movies

  • thanks

  • 91 octane? bro... u should get a better fuel in that thing, it will stuff the engine

  • this car only has 300 hp but goes 0-60 in 5.2 seconds i think. thats nuts. BMW ultimate performance cars.

  • I have an E28 M-5, same block... FAST!

    (Bilsteins, Supersprint exhaust, Dinan chip)

I have an E30 M-3... FAST! (stock, Bilsteins, Bosch)

    I have a Porsche 914-6... FAST! (Konis)

If you have 500hp, but only use 300, it is a waste of energy, space, and the extra weight kills your handling... torque/weight ratio is what you want...

  • Does vishnu work with the sedan?

  • I love the 335I but can not wait for 2008 M3

  • Go 335i!

  • @eoghancbc - re Vette -vs- M3. Top Gear (UK) raced the Z06 and it was faster than a M3... a 911 Carrera S, a Noble M15, a Pagani Zonda, a Ferrari 430 (!) - you are uninformed. Round the track it was barely slower than a 911 GT3 RS - a truly supremley focused track car (and my personal fav).

Fact is: a Z06 is a bargain .. interior's better, but could still be improved more (agree w/ this criticism generally of American cars).

  • Yep the interior is the z06's only flaw. otherwise its relatively (to its competitors) cheap, good looking, very fast and has an outstanding sooouuuunnnd.

  • EURO> CRAP ASIAN

    EURO> SHIT AMERICAN

    any day.

  • A 335d is quicker then a 335? pfffft. a 335 does in the mid to low 13s, a 335d cant break 14 secs. This 335 is chiped and exhausted, will run mid 12s. Not even close

  • I hate to break it to ye but the 335d is way faster, when the Americans get the 335d next year, they will figure out what us Europeans figured out 10 years ago(that Diesel kicks Petrols ass so much)

  • Your gay, I feel bad that you don't live in America. You live in a second rate country. Pathetic.

  • The US is clearly even dumber than I thought, then again I suppose this is a country that voted for George Bush twice in a row.

In Europe we've had fast diesel cars for the best part of 9 years now. The BMW 530d that came out in 1998 is faster from 80 to 120 km/h in 4th gear than a 540i, yes a 540i with a 4.4 litre V8 engine of the same time. Who gives a fuck about 0 to 60 and top speeds? what counts is when you're overtaking in the real world.

  • Just for you info, the 335d has 286 bhp, only 20 less than a 335i. It takes a mere 0.4 of a second longer to hit 60 mph(6.2 for the 335d, 5.8 for the 335i Auto) both hit 155mph, the diesel does 42.2 mpg, the Petrol does 29.7, the diesel has 413, yes a whopping 413 lb ft of torque, the Petrol has only 295. Torque is the thing that counts for overtaking, not power, and as the 335d has so much more, its way faster in the real world.

  • By the way my mpg figures are the EU ones, the only thing the 335i does better than a 335d is the noise.6 pot diesels dont sound bad at all,its just that a 6pot petrol sounds a lot better. The 335i is also available as a manual, the only other advantage, the 335d isn't available in manual(not that it matters since Americans are 2 lazy to change gear themselves)because BMW dont have a gearbox that can handle the torque a 335d has.If the 335d were slower, it would be available with a Manual gearbox.

  • Lets see, first off most US performance cars are only offered in manual so I guess your uninformed about that. Second most US diesel engines can put out upwards of 500-600 hp and 1000 tq with as little as a chip and exhaust (lets see a bmw do that). And third your cars are as overinflated as your gas prices.

  • Our cars are overinflated? Thats a joke, its common knowledge here that most American vehicles(especially pick ups and 4X4s) are simply too big to even fit on some of our roads. We actually have roads that are twisty here in Europe, unlike in America where the roads seem to have no corners at all. Most European cars are quite small, the 3 series is 4.52m long, thats a medium size car here. Whereas in America a car that small is a small car.

  • By the way in Europe, using a Manual on a performance car is becoming outdated in Europe these days, DSG/SMG/F1 type gearboxes are becoming the norm here, though I would agree that nothing beats a proper manual gearbox, ye are very lucky that BMW gives ye a manual E60 M5, we want one here and BMW still are not listening :(.

And yes, our Petrol prices do suck in most parts of Europe, Diesel is around 20c/litre cheaper normally.

  • As for Diesels, the only reason a US diesel can do all you say it can is because ye use ginormous engines. We can get more from a single turbo diesel(never mind a twin turbo diesel like the 335d) than ye can from an NA petrol in our sleep. I hope to God that ye get the Audi Q7 6.0 TDI, 20 mpg, 500 bhp,713 lb ft, 155mph(limited),0-60 in 5.5s.

  • For really fast cars like an M3, etc of course petrol is still miles better, but the point I'm making is that unless its a Vette Z06, Porsche, Ferrari, BMW M car(even Merc AMG do Diesel versions here now),Diesel is by far and away the better engine, a lot of the fastest versions of cars(even Japanese cars) in terms of power never mind torque are increasingly diesel here, even in a car like the Audi R8 there are so many rumours doing the rounds that a diesel will be offered.

  • If you think about it a Mustang has 210bhp from a 4.0l V6, which is pathetic for an engine of that size.Audis 2.8 litre V6 petrol has also got 210bhp,a BMW 330d has 231 bhp(from a 3.0 litre straight 6 single turbo Diesel, Audis 3.0TDI also has 233 bhp).

  • And something else about American cars. Why do most of them have interiors that feel like they are made from melted down action men? And why do ye still think that live axles and leaf springs are ok to use in car? The Vette may be faster than an M3 in the straights, but show it a corner and the M3 would kick its ass. I know you said you prefer Euro cars(even though I normally hate American cars, I love the sound of an American V8,and ye are lucky that yer cars are dirt cheap too)

  • as much as i agree with you, you seriously need to stop using top gear quotes....looks really gay.

  • eoghancbc unless you are german and live in germany you cant take any credit for their cars, sorry to break it to you but europe isnt one big country germanys acomplishments in automobiles dont apply to you. european tool bag

  • I produce 210 out of my 2.0ltr.

  • I know you dont lose much power for diesel vs. petrol, but realistically diesel is like 3.50+ a gallon and its been going up quick so I don't think these car companies are going to sell a lot of diesels in the states.

  • How much does a gallon of petrol cost compared to diesel in the US?

In most parts of Europe petrol is around 20c a litre dearer than diesel. Petrol would be around €1.40 a litre, diesel is around €1.20 a litre. That's one of the reasons diesels are so popular. Sales for petrol vs diesel are roughly 50:50 in Europe.

The EU is trying to have blanket CO2 emission targets as well, and diesels will continue to remain popular here as diesels have lower CO2 emission levels than petrols.

  • The other thing is diesels offer superior real world performance, a 3.0 diesel would easily be as quick as a 4.0 petrol(ignore 0-100 and top speed times, they only really matter on a racetrack, torque is what counts in the real world and diesels have way more of it), yet be more economical than a 1.8 petrol. That's a big part of why we think they're great in Europe:D.

  • I know youve never driven a diesel with a comment like that. Well see how they get on when BMW sell the 335d in the US later this year. I'd still have a 335i every time if there was no such thing as fuel costs(petrol is much more expensive here than in the US). BMW, VW, Audi, Chrysler, Jeep, Merc, Mitsubishi,Ford, Honda, Volvo and Toyota have plans to sell diesels in the US

If diesel was bad, then why is Audi going building an R8 diesel, and even Porsche&Rolls Royce are considering diesel now?

  • diesal right now is $3.50gal, high grade gas/petrol $3.05, reg gas $2.80, but is always fluctuating, I dont know the conversion, but probably around the same

  • LOL I agree that most Americans are over-patriotic clown asses... Personally I would never buy an american car... not fucking one; death to the idiots at Ford and GM everyone in America should boycot our own crappy cars. Plus thats pretty interesting about the 530d being faster than a 540i. Ps for the record most people in America want to beat the ever living shit out Bush its just the dumb conservative southerners that support that bastard

  • The funny thing is is that European Fords are actually great cars, the best FWD cars by a mile to drive. The US market Fords are appalling. I cant understand why Ford in America dont import the Euro Focus into the US anymore. Its bigger than the old one and feels like a German car inside. I know the original Mondeo or the Contour as ye called it was too small for the US but the 2nd & now 3rd generation Mondeos are huge, as spacious as a Mazda 6 or VW Passat, & still a great car to drive.

  • dude us americans get the ugly crappy versions of most cars, for example the fords we have vs. the euro fords, the fact that our civics and several other hondas dont even look as good as the ones everywhere else, and a couple of other japanese brand cars that give us americans different versions

  • dude us americans get the ugly crappy versions of most cars, for example the fords we have vs. the euro fords, the fact that our civics and several other hondas dont even look as good as the ones everywhere else, and a couple of other japanese brand cars that give us americans different versions

  • That's cause ye love cars with boots. We only like cars with boots if theyre a BMW or something like that.

The US Civic is probably a much better car than the Euro one actually, the US/JDM one has double wishbone independent rear suspension, the Euro Civic has a shitty torsion beam, tho the US/JDM version looks a lot worse than the Euro model.

Maybe when the new Ford Fiesta hits the US ye would buy it in hatchback form(though ye cant cause Ford are selling it in saloon form in the US only)

  • and I suppose you are smart enough to know GWB didn't win the popular vote. Do you even know the electoral process or just rambling without any real knowledge?

  • sorry gays but what is the mining of E92 for bmw ????

  • I actually prefer Euro cars over American cars (I own an e46) but the m3 I own is not as fast nor does it handle as well as a similar priced Vette. If Bush was a bad president why is the US still considered the strongest/richest country in the world? Inferiority complex anyone.

  • that was on sycamore you guys passed my house hahaha!

  • All I have to say is that it's weak.

  • That guy talking sounds exactly like Dr. Drew!!!

  • In my and drive obsessed people's opinion the best car you can get is RWD, NA engine, and of course clutch pedal in it. So take M3, M5, M6 or 911GT3(RS). If you have "Turbophobia" then do 911GT2 is the best car, if you can afford. So what's going on? Only couple of companies know how to buil RWD sport cars these days...

  • I'm as much a fan of RWD NA as much as the next guy, but your wording is a little off. A phobia is a deep, irrational fear..."turbophobia" would mean you were afraid of turbos...the GT2 would be the LAST thing you'd want to get. "Turbophelia" (turbo-lover) would be the better word.

  • Right, just make it U-turn, well you know what I ment.

  • Listen up bro. If you want a RWD car with near perfect steering and feedback, buy a BMW. ANY BMW. From 1968-2007. If you want a new model, I suggest the new 335i sedan or coupe, but please add a LSD from HARTGE. If you want my unbiased opinion, please look at the E36 M3. This car is available in coupe, sedan and convertible formats. If you buy an M car, don't worry about not having a limited slip differential. You should enjoy this respectfully.

  • BMW? No, especially the old "ugly" e36 - No way. ---- I'm just kidding. Yes, the best sports cars on earth are made by BMW/Porsche. And yes e36 M3 is one of the best cars ever, last 'mechanical BMW' one can buy. That is why I have one... Also you suggest e90-92 is a good choice, and again you right. That car is as PERFECT as it gets, ironically we got that car as well. We had M-B, Audis & the day we had first BMW(540i MT6), since then my primary car always will be BMW, next car - 911...

  • Indeed!! I'm keeping my '72 2002 and Audi TT 225 coupe, but adding the 135i when it comes out. It simply cannot get better than that, my friend! The E39 540i is an unbelievably sweet car, I wanted one, as my dentist had a black 540i 6m. Enjoy your rides man!

  • Same here! Yes, it was 'facelift' e39, with M-package. Those cars have GETRAG 6sp-tranny, same as in M5. Most US Bimmers got ZF trannies. // So, you have 2002? Are you first/second owner? I love silver with Motorsport lines. I may get one of those. Did you know you can buy brand new 2002 in Germany? Yeh, by order only. // 135i is coming to US, & M1 as well. It may have turbo 300hp+ & under 2900lb. My wish car is not upcoming Z10 - which might be fastest on Nurburgring, but Euro M3-GT, or CSL.

  • That was slow ass hell, i have the same car and i'll smoke you any day, u need too upgrade your twinsss lol

  • im not hating on tuning but

the purpose of this car isnt maxxing out power....

its got twin turbos feeding 3 cylinders each....theyre small turbos, they are efficient and low lag that way...thats the best way to keep the car..stock

  • i have a 2001 m3 just got a 335i ad let me tell u the m3 can sit on the damn driveway the 335i too fun to drive the m is just a boor in comparison now when the 08 m is out mabe ill buy one of those too

  • seriously, this is a non-m car people... you can't compare an e46 325 to an X5 4.8is... it doesn't make any sense.

any besides, with vishnu tuning, better intercooler/oil cooler, and the bolt ons, your looking at the 335 putting out a solid 450+hp, which is past the new m3 range... so if you want to put a price on performance, the 335i will out value any car you want to throw at it

  • outvalue is for cheap bastards. besides the current M3 can already put out 500+ hp with SC's that are on the market. 450+ for a 335 has not been achieved as far as i know but if you want value buy an STI.

  • the new M3 has 414bhp not 500+

  • he said the current m3 not the new one and not a stock one, a supercharged. check out active autoworks in FL

  • who brought up the E63? E63 AMG $175,000.00, 335i 45,000.00, apples to oranges.

  • E63 AMG isnt $175k.....

  • Sorry I was thinking S65, still the E63 is in a different class almost 100k.

  • not $100k...i think more around the price of an M5, around $80-90k

  • Maybe used before taxes but Not New...I said almost 100k, MSRP's are in the 90's, with tax your looking at 100k buddy.

  • well true...lol

  • My taxes and gas guzzler on my 07 M6 was almost 10k alone! Its ridiculous.

  • holy shit you drive an M6?? damn man what color? coupe or convertible? i saw a white M6 with chrome 22's on it on sunday at a really big meet at Univ of Maryland. sick car. and my friend owns the Nieman Marcus Edition M6 convertible with black 22's on it. sick as hell...

  • Yes its a Black coupe, I love it, I have owned a M3, M5 (E39), and now M6, but this V10 is incredible, I've slightly modded it, its around 540 hp. Awesome car!

  • wooow jealous! haha thats awesome. i was thinking of getting an M6 vert, but i think im going with 997TT vert in white

  • 997tt is sick! what a car...I had a modded 996tt 620 hp, insane. If you have the option get the 997tt!

  • yeah that car is amazing. i know a guy who has a 600hp 996TT. fuckin ridiculous...

  • an e63 amg benz or e63 bmw 6 series? either way its nothing to compare this too. compare this to an evo or something.

  • An E63 would dust the 335i, an M5 would be a better comparison than the 335i.

  • Whats the CR on these things? I heard it was pretty high. Upgrading the turbos might not be a good idea.

  • Nice car, but you know some gear head is going to put some bigger turbos in it. When someone does, give me a call and send me the instructions on how to do it cuz by then I will have one. Love my 2000 323i now, but gotta upgrade. BMW's rule. Drive one and you'll see why.

  • I think this car is gonna be the new tuner must-have. Expect a lot of aftermarket attention but wait a little cause they are still prototyping and tuning the 335i so it can be reliable.

  • well said, i agree

  • I think this car might be a little too expensive to be the new tuner must have since its mostly younger people tuning these cars.

  • turbos go blowie...pockets go empty when bmw denies your warranty

  • haha stfu you cock sucker BMW is one of the most reputable car companies in the world thats why so many people swear by them. and most people who buy BMWs have the cash to make any repairs, guy likes you are the ones getting shot past in their toyota camry's.

  • hahaha that's gold. Call of the day.

  • hey dumbshit, I have a BMW. Hows that yugo your mom handed down to you?

  • wat a great rhyme..haha

  • Turbos don't really break down. You just have to know how to care for a turbo engine. Oil cooling, idling after a run...etc. I know I've got a 07 Turbo Mini, that Vishnu is tuning. Woot!

  • I have owned turbo charged cars my whole life and never has one failed me. as for getting a lexus is350 over a 335I... r you stupid???

  • is350 and 335i are in the same class moron, the lexus offers more features plus a couple grand less, im not going to be taking my car around a track anytime soon so i could care less which one is faster... r u stupid???

  • I know they are in the same class. but the lexus is a jap piece of shit compared to a BMW. and BMW, Benz, Audi/VW, Porsche, and all other german cars are superior to Jap tin cans like toyota/lexus.

  • i got nothin against japanese cars, but everyone thinks too highly of the lexus is. lexus is known for is boring handling. id rather get a bmw 3 or infiniti g for that money

  • Agreed the only slant eyed car I'd buy would be a skyline... German cars for life...

  • is350 is fast, for a girl's car.

  • Why the hell would the turbos blow in the bimmer, they drove that thing for hundreds of thousands of miles before they even let the consumers behind the wheel.

  • ...E63 will own u...

  • This thing won´t beat the E63 above 60 mph. Great bargain, but be real. I could hold off a stock 996 Turbo in the E55 above 250 km/h, and it is faster than this car.

  • werd i think the 335 will beat the E63 in the 1/4

  • Actually in acceleration on this is on par or faster than an E63 amg, the E63 0-60 is about 4.4 or little less this is est at about 4.1-4.5 so should be close but E63 probably beat it in 1/4

  • I agree, the sound is absolutely stunning. You'd even could argue that you don't need a sound system on the 335i, as the engines produces enough sweet sounds.

    Great video!

  • The 335i twin turbo is sweet. :)

  • 0-60 time? 1/4 Mile time? Faster than e63 AMG?

  • are you serious, the e63 and the 335i (no matter how tuned) are in seperate classes. the e63 has 507 hp and the 335i hovers around 300 untuned. not-even-close...

as for that 335i, nice car, very quick, waiting on the m3 though

  • how many psi?

  • any more video? I noticed your site didn't have any bmw info relating to 335i.. I will be getting soon. Any turbo upgrade? Thanks

  • sounds amazing... cant wait to see it on the market!
