  • Being and living in louisiana I have a very respectful view of alligators. You sure as hell won't catch me fuckn with them but I admire them from a distance. The history channel should be ashamed of filming the gator catchers doing their dirty work and putting that on tv and making profit from it. I understand it's the catchers job and I have friends that do that job but tv networks profiting from animals pain is pure scumbag evil. Fuck tv networks

  • incredible.

  • 1 person voted thumbs down

  • fuck alligators up the ass, piece of shit animals.

  • Was this animal captive-bred or wild-caught? I heard that Shawn Heflick has the only captive-bred albino American alligators right now.

  • @LoveDoggsDawgs It couldn't be wild bought because albino alligators are always eaten soon after they hatch, as they are missing their natural camouflage.

  • It sounds like if one of them ever met a crocodile, a great white shark, or even a lion or tiger, either one of those vicious predators would really kill the albino alligator.

  • Excited much, Jeff?

  • Jeff ROCKS.

  • I have a slight obsession with Albino Alligators :3 Great video!

  • THIS IS IN DALLAS,TX I HAVE SEEN THIS AND BEEN TO THE SAME PLACE!

  • @westerwildcatsrock "here in Florida"

  • Lets have a little accuracy where bite force is concerned. The 3000 pounds would put the alligator around or a little bit below the Hyena. As mentioned above, the crocodile is on top at 5000.

  • First time I hear beign born white is BAD

  • It's kind of sad that albino alligators can't survive in the wild.

  • i love alligators, and the albino is the awsome

  • Just went to the Charleston SC aquarium, and the head 1 of 50 albino alligators, they said it was something about when they were born. It was pretty cool!

  • Love it quality looking reptile

  • Cool!

Reminds me of Rudy the Baryonyx from Ice Age Dawn Of The Dinosaurs hence my User Name.

  • Mm, interesting a white alligator. lol

  • is an albino alligator stronger?

  • Crockodile bite is 5000 pounds and white shark bite is about 700

  • @ShlomIMC sharks don't need as much force because they have sharper teeth. crocks need alot of force for crushing bones and stuff because their teeth are blunt.

  • @ShlomIMC

Strongest measured Great White bite was less than 650 PSI...

Their problem is that they have to sharp and spiky teeth to bite strong, cause it would broke if they bite on something hard......

And anyway, they don't need bone-breaker jaws, cuz their extremely sharp and wide teeth usually do the rest of the "job"...

  • 3000pounds the strongest bite?? and Sharks?

  • Does he live with regular aligators or is he like cut off?

  • cut off

    the others would kill him

  • I cant understand what u r saying

  • I have no idea what that means, but hey, thanks for watching.

  • Wow, I want lol

  • Thay are so fraking cute! :D

  • dude ur awesome! wat zoo u at?

  • nevermind i saw it. lowry park zoo.

  • thats so trippy!

  • why dont you just have some fish in their habitat so they can eat naturally

  • i think i have a reason well 2 as a matter of fact

1:They may eat them then they have to keep getting new fish

2:If they did that they'd be just killing fish all the time. Why bring in truckloads of fish to kill them? that would unbalance the food chain. beacause there wont be ample enough fihs after a while.

  • the point is so they can eat them. i just thought it sounded like a cool concept so they can capture their food...thanks for your reply

  • Live fish are given to them on occasion.

  • cool thanxs

  • shark tooth come back up too if tooth lost

  • defintally in fl cuz hey its the sun shine state lol so do u work @ a zoo somewhere in fl

  • i saw that a louisville zoo

  • We have one of those at the Louisville Zoo!

  • very cool stuff & educating, keep it up!

  • interesting videos, hope to see more!

  • The white alligators at Audubon Zoo in New Orleans aren't true albinos. They have a tiny spot or two of pigment and they have blue eyes so they're leucistic (like white tigers!).

  • Man, those animals are so beautiful. It's amazing how many different kinds and morphs there are out there for every species.

    Great, informative video, Jeff.

  • Thanks for watching!

  • @Sssnakers hey nice beast indeed it exists I think that more of these animals in nature are

  • seems like that zoo has plenty of interesting animals ^^ i used to have an albino corn snake

  • ha! sweet! what zoo was this at? they have a huge one here in utah

  • These ones are at Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa. They are cool aren't they? Thanks for watching.

  • how do they breed..i mean..if they r in captivity..lol

  • I traveled to DC and saw an albino alligator exhibit for an alligator named "Marty." It was in a super tiny shed-like thing. It also had a huge bruise on it's nose that I thought was mold or something. It was a pretty sad sight. I'm glad to see that this one seems so happy. :) It's also cool to know that it was just a common bruise and not some sort of infection or something.

  • Yeah, the bruises on the white ones look rough, but remember, they are common on all gators, you just can't see them! Thanks for watching!

  • there r no alligators in montana .

  • I know! I'm bummed. Sure will miss 'em!

  • miss who? alligators ?

  • YUP!

  • Finally a new video. Love gators

  • me 2

  • is it a true albino with red eyes, or is it just all white? i know the austrailian zoo in queensland has a white croc but its not a true albino

  • A true albino lacks all pigment, including the pigment in their eyes. The reason they look red is due to the fact that you can see the blood vessels in their eyes. The croc in queensland is probably amelanistic. Thanks for watching!

  • i love u and i love alligators .

  • Thanks :)

  • Wow, he's the prettiest alligator I've ever seen! And he is rather bright on an HD moniter. :D

But I have a few questions, Jeff. About how often would an albino gator be born in captivity? Also, because I couldn't see it very clearly in the video, do albino gators have red eyes, like some albino animals, are they blue, or are they just normal colored?

Thanks for reading this, and keep uploading those vids!

  • All the albino gators are born from one pair of adults in an alligator farm in Cut Off Louisiana. There have been roughly 30-40 born to this couple in the last 15 years. Both the female and male carry the recessive gene for albinism, something that is rare. A few documented wild albino gators have been born, but are quickly killed or captured. As for their eyes, they are red. Thanks for watching!

  • Oh, wow. Neato! Thanks for the reply! =D

  • Awesome Jeff you rock!!!
