This is so hilarious! LOL.... I would've been so confused and become afraid that I was in some weird movie where the train went through a rift in the spacetime continuum and we were in an alternate universe or something lol... Or maybe I wuld've been sitting there wondering what they had put in my drink earlier that is making me hallucinate these crazy sounds.. LMAO I can't get over this! Chinese lady, people arguing..over a SENTENCE!..creepy laughter..then church bells..AHAHA..STM ROCKS! :-D
A few people have asked or commented on "Line 3". Way back when they were first designing the Metro, "Line 3" was reserved for the possible conversion of the Mount Royal Tunnel to Metro operation. Obviously, this never happened, but there is still no "Line 3" on the system. Don't ask me why...
9 cars per train on the Orange and Green lines, 6 I believe on the Blue one. For the Orange line, it's about a train every 3 minutes on peak hours, 5 minutes off-peak, and approx. 10 minutes very early/very late/Saturday/Sunday.
So no, there aren't that much trains. It's often overcrowded on peak hours.
Hey i got a question about the metro line in montreal. Whats the guage? also im from sydney australia and our trains have guards at the rear of the train who monitors passangers get on/off the train then when its safe he closes the door and then pushs a button that rings a bell to notify the driver its safe to go. Is that the same system there too?
The Montreal metro uses rubber-tired trains, but with standard gauge as backup (1435mm). I think.
As for train operation, good question, I never asked that myself. I'm not nearly sure, but I think there is only one driver (called operator) in the front to supervise the opening/closing of doors with a big rear-view mirror on each station. And operation is all automatic, but the driver can use manual control.
DC Metro is set up like that. The trains all run themselves but the operators open and close the doors. Now in NYC, they operate their subways much like how Ivecofan09 stats they do in his home town.

Too bad this was only temporary! :-( It was so much fun to ride this car, and it really seemed to bring the people riding it together. People would chase it down the platform to get a ride, and watching the faces people would make was gradeA entertainment!
Side notes, it's not pain, it's decals, and they definetly didn't engrave anything, cause that would be scrathchiti! :-O
Believe it or not, the sounds all came from an mp3 player, that was broadcast over added speakers.
false, there is no numbre 3 line, it was designed but never been opened. The line 1 is green the line 2 is orange the line 4 is yellow and finally line 5 is blue.
wow nice... forcing audio trash upon the passengers now.. fuck you STM with your overpriced bus passes and forced marketing for dollars.
