Well the income distribution was much more equal than nowadays, it was close to what it is in the Scandinavian countries. U can search for Gini index in the USSR. Some people lived better than they deserved, but there for sure weren't 100 billionaires like in nowadays Russia.

You cannot beat that achievement. The Soviets were always for the people. Look at Afghanistan under Moscow in the '80s and look at Afghanistan under Washington now. It was more advanced under Moscow's help than any other time in history! Education for girls was mandatory. America brought Afghanistan back into the stone age.
