My boyfriend is good friends with Paul Rorabeck and intriduced me to their music unbeknowest to me that I'd already head them on the radio but never made the connection. These guys are freaking awesome!
haha i just came here from a link that said this was the Christian Nirvana, lol this is the least grunge thing i've ever herd -haha more like the Christian Nickleback! ewww it's horrible.. totally devoid of emotion, technical skill and soul - guess religion really is akin to soul suicide, always thought rumcaunt was going a bit far with that but listening to this......
@stocktakerbillybob These guys have actually been around for quite a while, I can't say I endorse this new direction they have gone because I agree it sounds like nikleback and nickleback kind of sux. But Grammatrain had some records back in the mid 90's like Lonely House that I can see why someone would compare them to Nirvana at least in terms of timbre but not at all lyrically, they had a lot of bass driven songs ala Krist Novoselic.
where can i download this?? i cant find their new EP on any torrent site! the only thing i find there is their album "flying" (but i bought that one a few years ago so i dont have to download it) and their album Lonely House, but that last one isnt complete, just 2 songs or something like that...
I would have to hear that from pete himself. I met the band when I was 4 and my parents were youth pastors. they started me into music by letting me sit behind their drum set.
@Bigbearjerry12 he confirmed it on his facebook page last year. Pray for Pete. He has experienced a lot and is living life the best way he understands it.
I love Grammatrain. It has a classic rather than soft rock sound that you hear in most Christian music. I love their 90s stuff and was disappointed when Pete Stewart went solo to record music that was much more contemporary, where he didn't utilize his wonderful vocal range all that much.
I'm glad he and the guys returned to the sound which really attracted me to Christian music in the first place.
Hey. I don't think we can really consider Grammatrain Christian rock for this record, since apparently Pete Stewart doesn't consider himself Christian anymore.
But it doesn't matter to me. Grammatrain was my favorite band in the late 90s and I'll buy this CD no matter what.
I didn't know that about Pete, but it certainly wouldn't keep me from listening, appreciating, and buying Grammatrain's newer music (most of the bands I listen to are not Christian bands). I own both LH and Flying as well as Pete's solo CD.
Some Christians I've known over the years had this preconceived idea that all Christian music should be soft and melodic and that anything raw or edgy was "worldly" or evil. That idea is based on religion, not authentic Christianity--and I detest religion.

Epic song. Thank God for people who still know how to rock and provide excellent drum solos.
