  • sir would you send me the tab please...?

    this song beautiful

  • The tune is a Polka it is known as Mickey Chewing Bubblegum; in sessions

  • Just starting DADGAD on guitar, but man....DUDE...Need to go to some sessions! WAY too fast on the important 'up's' - Don't know how to explain it better..You've got the rudiments, but the rythym is WAY off!!

  • This is lovely :)

  • it sounds just like a song off the bugs life

  • Robin what is this one?

I need to learn this song.

  • Trev it's DADGAD tuning from a book by Julie Henigan from Melbay tunes called 'Bill Sullivans Polka' the book has some great DADGAD tunes I could upload a copy of the tab and email if you wish

  • dude, that'd be cool.

    Thanks man.

    T.

  • hey robin, great video and sounds ace on the guitar. Any chance I could get the tab? Ive tried searching google but with no luck!

    Thanks

    Tom

  • @robindavies24 if you'd still have the tabs, I'd love a copy as well :)

    nice playing man ;)

  • @robindavies24 can you email me that book?

  • @robindavies24 may i have the tabs too?

  • just rated your vid with a 1 star mate sorry hit the wrong button that was excellent

  • Thanks very much

  • interesting but sound quality could be better

  • Thanks for the comment......yeh trying some options to improve recording quality

  • just wanted to say that this is a very nice song using d mode

i have recently picked up celtic guitar and i LOVE it

    its so interesting

  • Thanks yeh great tuning....a drag tuning in and out though(lol)

  • Meh, its not too bad, plus half step on the G and your in Open D for some blues.

  • i noticed how every video explaining how to tune to dadgad is very confusing. my friend showed me that from standard you just go from lowest string to highest matching the open string below it. tune it 7th fret then 5th fret then 5th fret 2nd fret then 5th fret, sooo much easier that way

  • If all else fails use the electronic tuner !

  • Really cool!

  • Thanks alot

  • Thanks for the feedback...noting from your other comments you are a true inspiration to Utubers with your thought provoking critique....do you run anger management classes?

  • is that a c scale?

    sorry im new to dadgad

  • I only know it's called a D modal tuning. The strings and retuned as the name represents; presumably derived to give that Celtic sound.

  • Great Guitar playing1 What's the tune call?

  • Thanks very much it's traditional tune called 'Bill Sullivan's Polka'

  • Niceee

  • Thankyou

  • i love this style of playing, i keep meaning to do some practise in these direction. Anyway, great stuff, but once again, too short!

  • Good Song RD. First I thought you tuned the guitar in DADGAD and I wanted to tell you an open D is tuned like D,A,D,F#,A,D. OK, you know me, but I don't know what DADGAD is so, a new pleasant meeting. You perform very well.5*

    KM
