why didn't you just call a truck with a small crane I would had lift that baby without a scratch! Just straight up, would had saved you a lot of work!
the music is by the norwegian composer Edvard Grieg (1843 - 1907) This "I Dovregubbens Hall" is from Griegs opus 46, from 1888. "I Dovregubbens Hall" = " In the hall og the mountain king". From Peer Gynt.
The tow truck worker should change professions, he doesn't even know what the bloody hell he's doing. Let go of your cell phone and roll the bike dumb ass! I hope you got a new bike mate.
I'd bitch-slap that arsehole if he did that to my bike, the lazy f-ck! You're looking at $28k (Aus) being dragged like a dead cow, what a dip-sh-t!!!
How & what caused you to end up like that any way, & how did you come out of it??? As for KTM's, yeah there ok in their own right but after LWR they shut their mouth, & as they should have...but it was great for BMW!
From what i have heard there is one disadvantage with KTM thou. Much more maintenance then the BMW.
But i could be wrong it is just what is said.
Whats your oppinion on the comfort? You think you ride as comfortable on the KTM as on the BMW? Id say for the long rides the BMW beat the KTM by far.
@ifurita81 Yup, the BMW is more comfortable on long hauls, but if you're looking for adventure, on-off experience and manouverability, good suspension, trusty gripping and overall fun, the KTM is by FAR the better bike. If you just want to cruise along on tarmac, then go for the BMW, no uqestion about it. If you want true riding thrills, there's no beating the KTM! You'll know when you sit on that beast and open up the throttle...
The bike's a writeoff. Why waste breath and sweat to recover it without causing further damage? If it would not be for the environment you could have stuck a rug into the filler cap and burned it.
For anyone interested, my friends have pulled light aircraft, snowmobiles and hammered motorcycles out of worse situations than that by laying the bike on an old car hood and towing the hood up the mountain like a sled. The hood takes the beating, not the machine. It doesn't hurt to save a buck, and old car hoods are in every town junk yard.
Glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. If that were my bike I'd be jumping up and down on the recovery mans head. No respect whatsoever! That bike is someones pride & joy. Really wound up now...
Sad to see you landed on the rock wall and I can only guess the only words from you at the time :)
To break the paralever, it must have landed real hard. She's a write off :(
However, I dont know how anyone could have expected the recovery guy to get the bike off the wall, get it up the embankment and hold the bike upright all at the same time! It's painful to watch the bike being dragged, I had a similar recovery guy years ago. I'm glad you're still around to share with us.
It wasn't your bike?? It was probably a Right Off as soon as you parked it on the wall ,at least your'e still alive. They are incredible bikes and can keep up with most people on sportsbikes,Ive had 2 and the best was the absolute basic spec version.
pardon my bad English. but Crane does not seek the best bmw. should not take it out with the wheels down. in an upright position? or take care Maas? I perish very wild.
Al de la grua habría que haberle dado una paliza por como trata la moto. Yo trabajé de gruista y JAMÁS a una moto accidentada le generé más daños de los que ya tenía.
If its insured then any damge will be fixed anyway. Those bikes weigh a lot and unless you hired a crane the bike would not load itself. How the hell did the bike end up there in the first place? The road looks dead straight.
I cringed too when i saw the bike being dragged. Yes I own a GSA and they are awesome bikes :)
am i the only one who sees thatfurther damage is donr to a bike by DRAGGING it off of a rock fence then just fglipping it over on its side ans then dragging it onto a flatbed? That was the worst recovery i have ever seen and the owner just films it!
There are no owners here. The closest to the owner would be BMW's own recovery firm as seen in the film. This recovery was done on a dangerous road with Police guiding and helping with the traffic management. It would have been no time to do it differently. Particularly as the paralever was broken! If it hadn't been broken the GS could have been ridden back onto the road.
guys i am from Greece and in few days i will own this dream machine. until then i am bitting my nails and driving my girlfriend crazy.catch you later maybe with a crazy off road video in one of our many islands
I love Youtube and the people that share their videos. The bike is a must, 144 000 skr. is alot of money. Still with it's equipment I just got to have it. Thanks for the video.
Buells are what? Are you for real? What's "s**t" is how Harley dealerships treat these amazing bikes! Go ride one and then say something more inteligent!
you haven't a clue what your talking about, I have the old 1150gs and its a great bike aswell. I rode the new 1200 and you can go anywhere on it. Its a classy looking machine also, real head turner.
Each to their own. I love the R1200GS. Such a nice place to be on a long relaxing ride, but wakes up when you give it a poke to make it serious fun in the twisties. Still a bit big for city riding though, it takes up two bike park slots with the panniers on!
i think that guy wanted to make you feel miserable for crashing it
