@sheerkhan8 Yeah. 2008 was a great year in gaming. Silent Hill Homecoming was pretty good, Crash Mind Over Mutant and The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon were great mascot games. Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest For Booty was another great TPS from that series. A lot of great games came out that year (though, to be honest, I'm not into Silent Hill much. But the games seem cool).
@judithestherbairluj how is the wii crappy, it could handle this gameplay style (Sonic Colors) and it's graphics are great, the detail and animation of the character models are great too (unlike the Xbox 360 and PS3's games models) Heavy Rain is the only PS3 game with really well detailed models, in my opinion.... Graphics are not as good as detail

For the Sonic fans: I have a feeling that this game is going to be cool! The gameplay and graphics are amazing, and it seems it is at more of a faster pace than other Sonic games!
The only problem I have with a Sonic game like this is that there doesn't seem to be a spin-dash. It was the same with SatSR, wasn't it? Didn't our best blue buddy get famous (besides the fact that he's a talking blue hedgehog with shoes) because of his "Super-Sonic-Spin-Dash?" I can understand SonicTeam adding new moves to sonic's collection, but taking away a classic one? Ugh... I just hope Wolf-Sonic can roll up into a ball.
Sega.. please go back to Sonic Adventure 2 style gameplay and physics. Heroes was okay and the riders games were fun. But Shadow was disappointing and Sonic on Ps3/360 made me die a little inside with its constant loading and in my opinion bad gameplay.
This, actually, shows signs of being good. The gameplay looks fast, functional and easy to pick up. Wile it does have a few bad points and there are some doubts about it's direction story-wise, it seems like it could be a decent Sonic game at least...
I can honestly agree with that but I'm not a huge fan of side scrollers anymore and while this one appears to have 3D elements to it besides the rendering I'm afraid its just going to be flashy camera effects. I mean yeah the whole random "werewolf" thing thats been talked about could be an interesting turn on the gameplay but you can only do so much in a sidescroller. All I can do is hope its good though, besides.. Who wouldn't want to see Supersonic as a werewolf. (I'm an Arcanine fan myself)

its true sonic games have been getting worse and worse since the sonic adventrue titles. but this game looks like it brought a little more of that sonci adventure feel too it, which I think is going to be great becasue in my opinion sonic adventure 2 battle was the best sonic game since the series begun.
I wouldn't say worse, its just sega wanted to try out different ways of making Sonic other than running at full speed through zone after zone. i lied the first sonic game on ps3 and 360 the whole looking for the levels, but the whole running through levels not so fast i didn't like. i mean it is possible to run fast on that game but because there more obstacles and things its harder. I loved sonic riders beacuse you could still go fast, but u race alot on boards which i found fun.
I dunno I prefer the older sonic stuff, because with the new games you push forward for like 5 seconds, then you hit a sring and you dont have to touch the controller again, the game does it for you. More after than not if you press something you die

Theres 3 things that make a game good
1 is great graphics (though it isn't mandatory)
2 is a good story

if you were referring to "Sonic The Hedgehog" that was only on Xbox 360 and PS3, then you must not realize that it was one of the worst games ever made. So basically the only big mistake made was making that game.

I think, what everyone needs to do, is give it time. Dont be like 'OH IT LOOKS OKAY BUT I DONT THINK ITLL BE ALL THAT GREAT.' Do everyone a favor, and if your gonna make comments like that, shut your mouth and wait until closer to November, when they will release more info and stuff. Or better yet, wait till the game comes out. Judge it then. Rent it first, and if you dont like it, let it go. Dont continue on, cutting it down further. Too much of that in this day and age.

This is great, it looks like a sort of return to form, unlike the pathetic excuses for sonic games that have been coming out for ages, and yes I know Adventure 2 Battle is brilliant, but that's not a later release, it's pretty old but it was re-made for gamecube...

....... i like the fact that they are adding new characters but for every new character they add, you cant pick an old one for story mode.
ex- amy is my fav character cus i really like her hammer and she seems unique for some reason but after sonic riders and sonic and the secret rings came its like she doesnt have a life anymore. which is why sonic adventure dx is one of my fav games. i also like games with a REAL plot like sonic adventure 2 battle

The only problem I have with a Sonic game like this is that there doesn't seem to be a spin-dash. It was the same with SatSR, wasn't it? Didn't our best blue buddy get famous (besides the fact that he's a talking blue hedgehog with shoes) because of his "Super-Sonic-Spin-Dash?" I can understand SonicTeam adding new moves to sonic's collection, but taking away a classic one? Ugh... I just hope Wolf-Sonic can roll up into a ball.

Sega.. please go back to Sonic Adventure 2 style gameplay and physics. Heroes was okay and the riders games were fun. But Shadow was disappointing and Sonic on Ps3/360 made me die a little inside with its constant loading and in my opinion bad gameplay.

This, actually, shows signs of being good. The gameplay looks fast, functional and easy to pick up. Wile it does have a few bad points and there are some doubts about it's direction story-wise, it seems like it could be a decent Sonic game at least...

I can honestly agree with that but I'm not a huge fan of side scrollers anymore and while this one appears to have 3D elements to it besides the rendering I'm afraid its just going to be flashy camera effects. I mean yeah the whole random "werewolf" thing thats been talked about could be an interesting turn on the gameplay but you can only do so much in a sidescroller. All I can do is hope its good though, besides.. Who wouldn't want to see Supersonic as a werewolf. (I'm an Arcanine fan myself)

its true sonic games have been getting worse and worse since the sonic adventrue titles. but this game looks like it brought a little more of that sonci adventure feel too it, which I think is going to be great becasue in my opinion sonic adventure 2 battle was the best sonic game since the series begun.

I wouldn't say worse, its just sega wanted to try out different ways of making Sonic other than running at full speed through zone after zone. i lied the first sonic game on ps3 and 360 the whole looking for the levels, but the whole running through levels not so fast i didn't like. i mean it is possible to run fast on that game but because there more obstacles and things its harder. I loved sonic riders beacuse you could still go fast, but u race alot on boards which i found fun.

I dunno I prefer the older sonic stuff, because with the new games you push forward for like 5 seconds, then you hit a sring and you dont have to touch the controller again, the game does it for you. More after than not if you press something you die
