The issue is not Jordan winning the contest....the problem is Nique did not deserve a 45. At minimum it should have been a 47 which would have forced Jordan to come up with a different or better dunk. Pressure makes a champ or a chump

I am going to say what I always say after watching the 19 Dunk Contest Finals between Dominique Wilkins and Michael Jordan,,Dominique got robbed!. He got a 50 on the 1st dunk then Jordan gets a 50, Wilkins then gets another 50 on the 2nd dunk and Jordan gets a 47. So then Wilkins only needs a 48 to win and the judges give him a 45 (and the dunk was at least a 50). Like I said he got robbed!
