  • Thanks for the comments guys!

  • Nice car! I have a question im asking all kinds of people with compact cars to try to get a base of info for picking the right cars to challenge I have a 1974 Chevy Vega with the stock 2 barrel 2.3 Sohc inline 4 with a auto trans and if your not familiar with the car it is a front engine rear wheel drive car and makes 85 hp and 122 ft tq do you think it could take a stock omni honestly?

  • no. not a turbo one. maybe a carb non glh. maybe.

  • How much does the Vega weigh? power-to-weight ratio is very important when trying to figure out where your car will end up. Stock Omni GLH makes 146hp/170lbft and weighs 2400lbs. 16.4:1 power to weight ratio.

2.3L Vega = 2200lbs and 85hp. That's a 25.88:1 power to weight ratio. So, in essence, find some cars w/ power-to-weight greater than 26:1 and you'll have a good chance at beating them...

  • Nice! And awesome paint job!

  • Nice Car! Love those Turbo Dodges!
