  • Kinda cheesy, some misleading infos, but great footage throughout. Surprisingly profound summation lol. respect to aljazeera

  • The presenter is a superficial, sensationalist clueless fucking idiot.

  • The way they attempt to manipulate viewers through the voice-overs is pretty disappointing.

Al Jazeera is better than this.

  • hahahha a megadeath t-shit.

  • Being communist ain't being terrorist. Shining Path have a misunderstood concept of comunism and they think that will blood they will get peace, which isn't the good manner. It's sad to see all the poor people in the Highlands and Jungle, i know. But killing the rich and giving to the poor ain't the way.

  • @abtazz12 neither is killing and robbing the poor....but the U.S. doesnt seem to mind....When the indigenous people stand up and defend themselves......they become terrorists..

  • @abtazz12 What is the way?

  • maybe the shining path wouldn't exist if america could mind its own business and get out of peru and the rest of south america and leave those countries affairs to themselves,

  • don't you just love how they use a soft voice for the farmers and yet use a vicious and tough voice that seems threatning for the guerilla warrior

  • i thought the same thing when i saw this

  • i hope your serious and not bein a jokester lol

  • my dad lived only blocks away when the shining path initiated the tarata street bomb in miraflores, and he told me that a bomb went off at least once a week by his house...

  • i am peruvian and the shining path destroyed my uncles store

  • im morrocan from morroco in africa.

    long live shining path

    long live chairman gonzalo

    long live communisme

    long live maoisme

    viva la guera popular.

    yankes goooooooooooo home

  • wow, this is so sad to see! I hope you grow up some day. Are you also a terrorist?

  • im communiste not teroriste.respect your self.

  • well, Shining Path were clearly terrorists and murdered many people, including children. Yet, for some reason, you admire them. I respect myself. I do not, however, respect you.

  • @loki109 Well then you also know that the peruvian regime today and in the past is a terrorist regime far more worse than "shining path"

  • @tonilourdes this is an amazing comment. Do you live in Peru? I know pwoplw who do......they are not saying what you are......

  • @loki109 My wife is from Peru, I also own property there but I dont live there because nobody really want to live in Peru, and I know both Peruvians who belive the regime and more honest ones who know the reallity... the crimes of the regime is today well known for most people in the world with some interest i truth and justice and facts are not impossible to find (if you want). I dont know what idiots you know but also remember that Peru is one of the worlds most corrupt semifascist states

  • @tonilourdes that is sad last sentence. My friedns are Missionaries....serving very humble Peruvians. The husband is not an idiot. He graduated from VMI and has an engineering degree. They also run aan orphanage for children with phsical problems that have been abandoned. They do not make money down there. They live simply and are supported by a Christian Church. My friend has even learned Quecha (or whatevcer the local dialect is) . He is helping you wives fellow countrymen, that is all.

  • Ohhh the romance of the "fighter".....what a collection of lies & corruption! Shining Path is a muddy road.

  • I am peruvian. If we can get the whole world to help us in the fight against terrorism, maybe we would finish this criminal group so it never grows back again.

It doesn't matter if the help comes from the US as long as it keeps coming. Peru is a poor country and needs help to fight against terrorists and drug dealers.

  • get us outta our pais!!! white people kan get the hell outta Peru!!! y u think we are so damn poor?? Sendero is maybe not the answer...but something needs to change!!! God is almighty!!

  • $17 billion of federal money is directly spend each year to control drugs. But the actual cost of the drug war is $50 billion, which is equal to the USA combined budgets for all of our country's agriculture, energy, and veteran's programs. I'm sick and tired of people killing each other over this damn drugs. This is the same fricking thing that happend during prohibition, legalize the fricking drugs, charge company tax for selling them and give DDWI's when caught Driving Druged Under Influence.

  • iam from peru nd i kno wat the shinning path is up 2 is not easy to cath dem all they r really smart dey r really scared looking my dad told me that bout 18 years ago dey where killing little boys nd women(pregnant) is reslly sad to c dis happening agagin im jst happy i live now in america

  • Write in English so we can understand you.

  • Aren't the people from peru americans...if u go to Irak kids there have the same feelings about amercian troops-killing chilkdren, pregnany women, perhaps u need to see threal news kid...!!!lsearch, analize, then make ur own opinion...

  • Shining Path personnel are way better armed than mere single-shot rifles, as seen on the interview. They have FN-FAL and AKM rifles, RPGs and other weaponry.

  • This is way better reporting than all that CNN and fox news propaganda.

  • yup =)

An American asks a question to a "terrorist" !!!

So many people are caught up in these "wars".

Rock on AlJazeera! I wish you would be more popular in the US. We need your Journalism in the US =))

  • Go fuck yourself...

  • CiA financed

  • Shut your damn mouth...

  • sorry do you work for them?

  • that was good reporting. thanks aljazeera, finally a media outlet that actually digs deep enough to get a story

  • That dude has a wife and kid and is living somewhere where people are threatening to kill him?! Get a clue dude. You can afford to live elsewhere. Get the fuck out. Your stubborness is not fair to your family.

  • Shining Path has been on the "rebound" for over a decade now yet they remain marginal to the point of non-existence. The Peruvian people are united in their complete opposition to them and I doubt they have a chance in hell of ever returning. Peru's very significant political problems will have to be deal with politically.

  • Nice report .

  • viva peru!
