Hey Great to see the face that goes with the voice and hands! Hope you do that more often. Your camera is kicking tail. Love the way it focuses so well and smoothly. What camera was that again?
@jimeronimo Its a sony bloggie mhs-cm5. Overall, except for the white balance issue with monochromatic/white shots, its been a very good camera. I wish it could record while its charging though.
@Terranscapes Thanks buddy. Have to check that one out. Suprised to hear you can't record while charging though. I would think that's just a basic standard these days???? hmmm
@jimeronimo Haven't looked at the manual to see if its possible (where is that manual anyway???) but when I plug it in to the usb jack, it goes into charging/dowload mode and no other function appears possible. *shrug* I might look on line for a pdf of the manual as a cursory search of the shop has failed to make it appear.
I like your works. I really liked how you did the snow. I tried to to snow using baking soda mixed with white PS glue on my terrain but when it dried it became transparent, but I didn't have such problem with GW snow. I only wish that in future I will make cool terrain as you do
@Melthornal good call on the varnish. The yellowing is an oxidizing reaction I think so sealing it WELL would probably prevent it. Might be good for a 'wet' snow look.
Nice to see the man behind the voice...The frame seems very appropriate for the display board...wish you best of luck in your new web site offer....always inspired by the great terrain projects you share with the community...looking forward to what you will be doing in the new year...Jim.
@adamhalcrow The more diverse framing does seem to render the colors more appropriately. You can see that when I held the board up to the camera it started shift yellow. I may maintain this format just for that reason.
@Kommissar85UK Thank you for the comments. I probably will, but man I get chatty. Had to cut out 5 minutes of talk for this vid. :) I will say it helps with the color rendering of the camera, and I am able to control the focus pretty well so this format will very likely return for other videos.
@crimsonempire1 *laugh* I actually had more in the video I chatted about but in the end edited it down a bit. I can be a bit chatty so being off camera keeps me focused on the work, where it should be. :)
where can we see those elves that go w/ the board?

@Terranscapes Good luck... And again. Hope to see more vids with you in them. Helps to identify the person(artist) with the works...

@darmamu I have also heard that Baking Soda will yellow over time. Just and FYI.
Terranscapes 1 year ago
@Terranscapes Can you add a shade of white paint to the glue to keep the baking soda from yellowing?
jimeronimo 1 year ago
@jimeronimo It should. Very well applied varnish should help, too.

@jortiz67 Hmmm.. I guess I see the resemblance. If I ever need to leave TerranScapes, perhaps I could stunt double for him. :)

Nice project with these display boards! I wish I could come to the TempleCon, but living in Europe it's a little problem :)
PS: Do I see a "Christianity" demotivational in the back left?
