Frankie sang this song in the movie "Blowing Wild". It starred Gary Cooper who was my favorite actor. Frankie was my favorite singer. Too bad my favorite horse was'nt born yet. I would have liked to have seen Gary riding down the trail on the "Mighty Kelso with Frankie singing in the background.

Thanks so much. I've told people about this song and they couldn't remember it. I knew it was called 'Black Gold" or "Blowing Wild". Guess it just impacted me because I was just a young kid of 12 when it was recorded and I would listen to it over and over. Believe it or not, I sang along on the first hearing here and remembered the whole song. Thank you again for the posting.
