In 2003 I was visiting friends in New York while on holidays and found out that Richard was playing in Boston. After quickly changing a number of flights and travel plans, I managed to get 4 friends to come watch with me. To this day my signed copy of Platypus Man on VHS is still one of my most prized possessions.
Say what you want about people who commit suicide, and it is unfortunate. He was so talented and so funny. He isn't aggressive and threatening like a lot of the comedians today. He is just funny and I miss him so much.
@58windsong you are so lucky.... My wife was going to get me tickets to see him... and when she found out he was going to be in the area was the same week he sadly passed.

I saw him perform a marathon 3 hour routine at a seattle comedy club. Hilarious show, great comedian.
