I don't know why the hell I'm watching this. I'm getting an Arthroscope in 3 weeks than surgery after. I'm freakin out. Does anyone know if I'll be able to return to work the day after the Arthroscope?
im getting a shoulder arthroscopic total synovectomy in 3 weeks, can anyone tell me if they have had it, and what was the out come, is ok after its done, any help please, i wish i didnt start wtaching this FML lol
Please somebody tell me how does the scar heal; Having surgery on This Thursday : Scared ! Dislocation of shoulder 2 yrs ago, healing terrible; Then torn popeye muscle tendon bicep; RE for surgery; Bicep Tendon Tear from Shoulder
Please somebody tell me how does the scar heal; Having surgery on This Thursday : Scared ! Dislocation of shoulder 2 yrs ago, healing terrible; Then torn popeye muscle tendon bicep; RE for surgery; Bicep Tendon Tear from Shoulder
I had stabilisation of the shoulder done In december 2010 an it's not gone to plan so just going in very soon! Infect I'm just waiting for the hospital porter to take me to theatre now, I'm first on the list! Lol
I had the same surgery done a few weeks ago. I'm gonna do my physio in a bit. The first two weeks are the hardest. After you'll be good. Just recover well.
I had this done in muskegon at the surgery center, they did a great job on it. the first time, it took me about 3 days to get off the norcothen when i had it redone, thenext day i didnt take any pills and it was good to go from there so its really not too bad even with the 6 anchors they put in
I am 15 yes old I didn't have this surgery but I had a worse one :( This one is really not as big of a deal so if your getting it done don't even sweat it!
just had this done im glad i didnt watch this before th surgery haha, they gave me oxycotin i only took it the first two days then the pain was mnimal and stuck to tylenole, 2 weeks down of recovery
@jorgemlh its not bad man, you wake up, you are all drugged up and feel pretty good, but tired you know. i thought it was going to be painful when you wake up but it's not you dont feel a thing and they knock you out so fast. The only hard part is the recovery because it takes so long.
At 14 you're young enough to bounce back pretty quickly if you have to have the surgery. You'll be able to do all the things you've done in the past as long as you rehab properly. that being said do avoid having any surgery unless you absolutely have to.
@tarmer i am 16. i got this same surgery. My surgeon said i had a unique tear. he has only seen in 3 times in his 30+ yrs of beoing a surgeon. My ball of my shoulder went through a muscle and left a tear the sie of a 50 cents piece. I am making good recovery time. I only havent had therapy yet because im makin good progress, my surgery was on November 10th. Cant wait for football next year!
@tarmer I got it done when I was 16. For the first 3 weeks It was terrible because any movement made it hurt and it is super hard to not move your shoulder. After about a year it was probably around 70% healed. Had occasional pain and wasn't as strong as it had been. After 2 years nothing hurts and I have gotten way stronger.
Im fourteen and tore my rotator cuff playing water polo. I really dont want surgery, hopefully i wont need it. But I'm afraid i wont be able to swim or play water polo anymore. Is the surgery worth it? Should i advoid it as much as possible?
@sprite42069 I had my surgery on Aug 11 and i am out of my sling now in physical theraphy, getting my motion back and my doctor just released me to start gentle strenghtning! at first they were saying 6 months to full recovery but now they are saying 3 to 4! i feel great , just weak and tight ! it sucks to be hurt but your shoulder will come back stronger than before !
@sprite42069. So i highly reccommend the surgery cause if you dont it will get worse. But when you are in surgery typically your surgeon will put a pain block shot in your neck to block your nerve wndings so you wont feel any pain when you wake up ! your whole arm will be numb and it will feel really weird ! ha in my case the medicine they gave me was expired so it didnt work and i had to get another one ! but my pain was better after surgery that before ! you will be fine in the apin sense!
@sprite42069 Dont be scared !! before my surgery i was in a world of pain ... my shoulder dislocated when i was swinging a bat and it tore my labrum all the way around , and my a bit of my rotator cuff. i popped it back in myself haha ! but ya, even though it doesnt hurt now it will eventually have wose problems like my shoulder. Before everything happeed mine popped in and out as well and it didnt hurt but i was torn.
I just had this done on Wednesday and I was in less pain after surgery that I was before . 3 tiny scars 5 stitches! Not bad at all and I am a 16 ye old athletic girl , so don't be nervous people you will not regret getting this surgery
@lilmoore0004 hahaha lol.. yea im getting this surgery on september 30!! lol im sitting here like WTF MAN idk wat to do..be scared?? lol idk ...im not really in any pain lol...i have torn ligaments...my arm pops in and out...when i throw and when i do alot of other things...it doesnt hurt tho O_o lol...but yea...umm how are you feelign know though?? lol any pain after or what...idk what to expect lol
i'm sitting her with a sling on my arm from this surgery. they did a new procedure to smooth out my bone and tighten my....oh man i can't watch this anymore...
just had my shoulder surgery was great i feel so much better i had a torn labrum bone spur torn rotator cuff and a torn bicep it did hurt but im in no pain now and just doing my therapy and its great. I am glad i did not see this before mine though
I'm due to have right shoulder done in 2 weeks to repair 2cm tear. Left shoulder has 1cm tear. Lumbar L3 moderate stenosis,L4 moderate to severe stenosis.L5 moderate stenosis and last but not least cervical issues.
crazybubbles001 I had a torn labrum and a partial tear in my rotator cuff. It hurt like hell but after the 5th day i was feeling better. Minimal scarring my 3 incisions look like scratches. its going to take about 3 months to fully recover though. I was knocked out like a crack head it took about an 1 1/2 hours to fix. I'm out of the sling already since it is my eigth day and will be starting physical therapy next week . stay positive good luck
I had this surgery nearly a year ago for a 270 degree labrum tear. Recovery was a bitch but was back to working out with full ROM after only about 4-5 months. Now it feels even stronger than my other shoulder sometimes.
@tragale35 hey just wondering what kind of injury you had? i have 2 get this surgery done cause ive 2 partial tears in 2 of my tendons! did it hurt getting this done? did they knock you out or what?
I just had this shit done! Not f n cool man!!
