  • I did push hands with one of his indoor students......and I've never experenced anything like it. I've boxed, do Xing Yi and have lifted weights for years and am fairly strong. The gentleman took it very easy on me and just demonstrated but could have thrown me 10 feet and hurt me badly if he had wanted it. Simply amazing and you can't really appreciate it till you experence it.

  • Perfect

  • 很強.....這是陳照奎老師父 晚年的拳架

  • 太好了 练 的 太 好 希望 一 天 我也 能 打 一样

  • Classical and complex. It seems that his body can be compared to a drawn bow that is always ready to be released.

  • Why make it so stressful for everyone? We should be more relax when doing taiji, right? If not your whole body looks like a piece of wood.*fung song" is the word in Chinese.

  • As my teacher Zhang Dong Hai told me, there are many ways to do this, indeed variations exist, so if you see some change in hand position or some slight move difference it likely has root from Chen Fa Ke, Chen ZaoKui, Ma Hong. FaKe showed differnt styles to different pupils so there is no break in continuity. This form of Chen, in my mind is the most martial and has Fajing like I like it. So for me it fits and has the greatest application expending power with the least effort. This stuff hurts!

  • I have been on the receivening end of one of MaHong's Student's (my teacher) ChinNa and Tui Shuo techniques.

If you where, you'd understand power, rooting, and effortless efficency in taking an Iron Pumping 250 lb dude like me who has a TaiKwanDo background and Some ChenShiTaiJiChuan (still practicing) and moving me to the ground, or paining me, gentle internal organ pressure, wrist, arm shoulder near dislocation. when you see the moves here keep mind every one of them has multiple applications.

  • Falun Gong is good!

  • Dear Richnwood: If you read the books by Ma Hong - which are classical in their own right - you will discover that Ma's performance belongs to original, orthodox and classical Taiji. Imagine the pioneers in developing this form of martial art -- did they suddenly invent a whole set of slow motion moves for use in combat? Slow motion is a product of latter development. As to Ma's performance, the skills behind every single move are absolutely sophisticated, if not stunning!

  • i study with chen peishan, chen zhenglei and dr yang jwing ming and interpretation of taiji is not so bad as long as it is in harmony with 18 postures and relation with ying and yang, to discredit mr ma hong is to say chen zhaokui and his father chen fa ke chen style is not real kung fu, you say you study with many teachers but you never study well i think. please study your chi well before talking about another person's skill.

  • @shopperman2007 @musicpv32 Is this where they slaughter dolphins ?

  • This appears very unorthodox. Too many times, he seems to shift his feet and uproot himself - generally while in the upper postures. (This may be due to knee/ankle injuries, so I will accept). Also some strange hand variations like white snake spits out it's tongue, which he neglects his left hand movement, totally ruling out the qinna option in favour of a highly impractical straight finger strike. His step into single whip is also highly risky. Can anyone advise me why he does this?

  • Dear richnwood, I respect your comments. I never the chance to train wiht mr Ma Hong, but I did with his student Ms Tang Meixiu. I have to say any small movement you can see or you cannot see has got is meaning. Really practical. Really hard. I advice you to train and see with as many Chen Style instructors as you can. Then you will see the differences. Thanks for posting.

  • Hi Nongxingkwoon. Many thanks for your reply. The people I have learned from include - Gou Kongjie (uk), Chen Zhenglei (henan), Liming Yue (uk), Zhang Dongwu (zheng zhou) and Liu Yong (xiamen), but I am always looking to learn more. Please advise if there are any other teachers not yet mentioned that you recommend.

  • It seems you have great masters in your background! I'm always been interested in the practical side of Taijiquan, one of my best experience in training was with Xie Yelei from Shandong, he is currently in Shanghai Institute of Physical Education. He is in charge of the Pushing Hands and Taiji Sparring team. I strongly recommend him because in my opinion sometimes the elderly can't demonstrate the full power of TJQ. Well, I only can say from my own experiences. Thanks for replying.

  • my father love it

  • When I saw Ma Hong for the first time in Wenxian Chen Family Taiji Tournament, I watched all his performance with my mouth open..totally surprised! For a man in his late 70's could practice all the routines in such low stances...After learned and travelled with him, I become even respect him, because it is so clear that, he doesn't treat Taiji as business at all..For him, to pass down his Kungfu is a great responsibility..

  • You can personally think what you want, but when Ma Hong performs at the Chen village, everybody watches. Ma Hong is one of the best Taijiquan players in the world, and definitely in league with the ones you mentioned above.

  • to much show

  • woooooot...this master teach me...omg

i'm better now...i fell alot of inner energy..wow great

  • Excellent. Really the best Chen Tai Chi I've seen up to now by its fluidity and circularity and the efficency of its Fa Jin. That is my opinion because it greatly fits with what I am in search. Hong Kong is too far from my earth. But I 'll learn very much with this precious video .

    Thank you FunFront!

  • Hebei, not Hong Kong - that's where he lives.

    Cheers, P

  • apprently you haven't seen much Chen Tai Chi yet

  • I mean: on YouTube. Could you tell me what u advise me to watch?

  • Ma Hong is one of the most controversial Tai Chi practitioner; he isn't just not good enough, many, including me, don't like his style.

Personaly, I think Feng Zhiqiang, Wang Xian, Chen Xiaowang are among the best Tai Chi masters.

  • Thank you for your response. The other masters are excellent too. And now let's go and practice!

    Cheers!

  • Please watch Zhu Tian Cai's wonderful performents
