  • LIKE AN SNK BOSS.

  • 80 people must be SNK bosses.

  • You did fine mate

  • the hardest kof boss is rugal from kof 2002 in my opinion! the easiest is mukai from kof 2003!

  • ff1 geese is pretty funny, he refuses to block some moves e.g. burn knuckle. replacing him with igniz and krizalid with magaki sounds pretty good to me. i don't know about the other ff games though, or bosses like king lion and jyazu.

  • The King of Fighters... tormenting you with our bosses since 1994.

  • 5:18 to 5:23 is probably one of the coolest fighting game attacks I've ever seen.

  • @GhoullyXX undulation slash is gawd

  • 03:28 - "I finally beat this motherfucker!"

    03:45 - "Fuck"

  • did i hear this? O.o

    joe: sasuke!

  • @BlackDeoxysX 'Sasuke' roughly means "Warrior" or something of that nature in japanese. Buuuut as for what you heard, I think Joe said somenthing else.

  • @OrganOwner i think he says "saku saku ikuze"

  • how did this video get more than 100k hits? well duh.... it's the king of fighters! one of the most popular fighting games in the world*

  • @mukaikof the king of soccer

  • RAGU! RAGU!

    what about prego?

  • WHERE IS ZANKURO from the Samurai Shodown series???Also, nowadays, Galactus(Marvel vs Capcom 3) makes proud the concept of SNK Boss.

  • @ultimaweapon23 I hate that stupid thing he does where he shoots lasers from his eyes and fingters at the same time. That and when he starts spamming his finger laser. "You will die! You will die! You will die! You will die!"

But his biggest advantage is that fight with both heralds. He would be a lot easier if it wasn't because of that.

  • I know it's not a Fighting Game, but In Deus Ex Machina pretty much everyone with a gun has instant reflexes to the point that it takes the character longer to fully exit cover than it takes the enemy to realise you're there and start firing. Ironically this causes them to miss.

  • When Geese spams the projectile, it sounds like he's saying, "Rape! Rape!"

  • Look, a tribute video to KOF bosses. Seriously, wtf SNK?!?

  • jajaja You suck!!

  • no the real hardest is akuma in street fighter 2 turbo, that's all

  • Great video!!! LOVE SNK...leopold goenitz and rugal 94 are my favorites...you missed one in my opinion is one of the hardest...im talkin about GESSE from (kof NEO WAVE) in the arcade version is so Freakin HARD...!!!!

  • @IIITANIAIII oh that Geese was an ASS! AN ASS!

  • I don't think Goenitz was that tough if you're careful (i.e. guard all the time). He's really is a great boss though. Not like that cheating bastard Rugal.

  • TV Tropes blessed this video

  • @MrHinchapelotas Came here because of it too. Gesse....fucking...Howard

  • SNK Bosses are always the most difficult (cheap?) imo. I-NO from GG is tough at first, but once you know how to deal with Megalomania and keep the fight on the ground she's cake.

  • omg so many memories. so many....painful memories. oh well i liked kof anyway :P

  • 04:27 Terry : get my punch sucker

    04:28 Rugal : DENIED ! Genocide Cutter

  • SNK Boss Syndrome ftw.

  • Adon what are you doing here?

  • lol, i honestly never found krizalid that hard at all. maybe i was just having too much fun versing him to notice.

goenitz however can go fucking burn in hell. that boss was WAY the fuck to hard!

geese suffers from the shitty-AI syndrome (also know as MK Boss syndrome) and so is possible to beat.

rugal was certaintly difficult in 94 but he could be alot worse, once you figured out the AI it became easy. compared to how rugal is in 98um and 2002um, the 94 rugal is as hard as gill is to me now.

  • any fucking snk boss, hell given snk's style of gameplay the first opponent already feels like the end boss

  • The eternal champion.

  • bosses always cheat.they drain out half ur energy usually just by one hit.which is y they became too hard to be beaten.however those who can beat these bosses out consider urself the champion..

  • KoF '99 is my fav, good times, great soundtrack, even Kriz the fizz wasn't that bad, Now omega Rugal is pants shittingly tough lol, i'd rather fight an army of Gill's & Seth's before Omega Rugal

  • So apparently, the only fighting game in existence is The King of Fighters.

    Ino from GGX2#R, hoooooly fuck...

  • i think the hardest fighting boss i have fought was eyedol from killer instinct on the super nintendo on the hardest difficulty setting. i beat him but it took me fucking forever. he runs up to you does a combo, knocks you like 100 feet in the air and the whole time your up there any damage that you have done to him he regenerates him by stomping his foot on the ground and when he does that he makes a noise that will piss you off very quickly

  • i like how rugal says genocide cutter

  • For Geese , stand by the corner and use HP when he comes ;

For Rugal , jump with Lp or Lk than grab him.

For Goenitz , cast a power wave in the long distance with Terry then he'll disappear then use risig tackle.

Krizalid is already easy to beat.

    Now do what i say.

  • I find that Jinpachi (Tekken 5) and Alpha (DOA4) are pretty damn hard, even though recent games USUALLY tend to be more forgiving than old ones.

  • What game is this

  • SNK boss syndrome

  • So who got to this demonstration of the typical sadism found in some game designers from the snk boss page on tvtropes?

  • DUDE!! CYBER AKUMA AND GILL have to be the most bitch ass bosses ive ever fought. cyber akumas raging demon is almost a 1 hit kill and his gou shoryu and gou hadoukens are wayyyyyy to over powered.. plus he doesnbt do anything else but gou hadouken and asura warp all day. and gill forget about it. u have to fight him twice just to kill him cuz of that revive move.

  • Krizalid, lol, easy fight ^_^

Rugal is not very hard to beat.

I agree for Goenitz and Geese.

For me the hardest is Igniz from KOF 2001

  • TV tropes FTW

  • @flyingace1234 SAME HERE HAHA Also to the author, and everyone willing to reply, what's your favorite KOF ? 96 for me. I guess Chizuru K. has no place in here ;p

  • Not sure if you've played KoF13 yet, but what do you think about Saiki and Dark Ash?

  • 3:46

    "The coats are off, pal!"

  • winner is gaynitz

  • shao khan on mkt without cheats and sucking at fighting games

  • I beat '94 (Re-Bout...but no less hard) Rugal today...on level 2 difficulty. >_>

  • If you want a response to why you got this many views, it's because TV Tropes is ruining lives. :) Great video though, boss.

  • It's Rugal That Got You Those Views Man, Thats The Baddest Dude Out There.

  • The hardest kof boss I fought was igniz

  • lol Rugal's "true form" is incredibly cheap

  • Oh Goenitz. I had a tough time beating you. Even in SVC when he spammed the tornadoes while I got stuck in a corner!

  • Ugh... Goenitz... How I hate him. In SVC I remember he spammed the tornadoes and didn't let me move. How rude!!! :P

  • people forgetting orochi

  • None of these bosses you played is hard, you are just too aggressive and cant even try to find their weaknesses. From KOF series, the hardest boss is definitely Magaki.

  • All SNK bosses, this is why people associate that company with hard fighting game bosses.

I have read on TV tropes that Goentiz will sometimes just spam that tornado wall move and make it impossible to hit him, does he?

  • kof 2000 Zero is the best boss ...

  • i was about to say that rugal didn't look all that tough... until i saw the last part...

  • super elmo from elmo's learning adventure is the hardest boss ever. you guys must be on something if you can't see that

  • Parace L sia from Arcana Heart 2 and 3, In the former, all her super moves are potential instant Kills, can regenrate herself in a really hard to break crystal, and in 3, telports before the announcer even finishes callign out the round name, and has reverse input on all moves, and can chain all her specials and supers into another one like its the easiest thing in the whole world.

  • OH yea Gill from SF3 is the Hardest ever. I could only beat him by time outs lol I have never killed him.

  • @chosenxeno Gill isn't that hard. He plays by the same rules as players - no free supers or unblockable moves or crazy throw range - he's just overpowered on purpose. He controller reads at the highest difficulties ONLY. He actuallyhas a very nice mock AI that imitates the patterns of good players, to be honest. Hint: Each character has an advantage over him in some fashion. Necro has better range, Q's taunt-boosts make him a defensive wall, Chun can sweep-spam, shotos are shotos...

  • @chosenxeno While Gill IS hard, it's only because he screws you over when you've gotten used to all the mechanics, I was constantly duck-crouching against most players, but Gill's specials are mostly overheads and when I tried to parry his fireballs I forget it's got two hits. The Ressurection is bullshit though.

  • SNK bosses are almost impossible lol Original Akuma is right up there too though.

  • Dead or alive 4... Alpha-152 the blue jelly version of Kasumi is an asshole.

Tekken 6... I'm not bad at Tekken but Azazel is crazy.

Those 2 have me swearing my head off, when I reach the last boss is Tekken I just quit and replay arcade mode. He pisses me off way too much, it cant be good for my health lol

You're right about some of those KOF bosses, I fought Rugal and that was pretty frustrating.

  • I actually found every KOF final boss since '98 to be easy to beat as long as you played as Mai. If you forced them into the corner and performed her air-to-ground dive attack you'd almost always hit. As long as you performed it so you'd hit just an instant after they got up it would connect 90% of the time.

It was the only AI exploit that silenced my desire to rage quit every one of them.

  • At 09:51, Joe threw the most epic Screw Upper. (nice timing on that)

  • REPPUUKEN AND REPPUUKEN ALL OVER AGAIN, THAT'S HOW GEESE AND RUGAL WIN ALL THE TIME

  • congrats on being on TvTropes.

  • SNK BOSSES = Just give up now the rage isnt worth it.

  • I think that rugal from KOF 2002 its the harder boss

  • @thebigabsay123 he surely is!

  • @thebigabsay123 FAIL, he's a peace of cake. Try to defeat Goenitz from KOF96.

  • totally agree about geese from fatal fury 1 and rugal from kof 94; goenitz isn't too bad if you use my family's method, get one hit in and block in the corner until the time expires; krizalid is pretty annoying too but igniz is pretty freaking ridiculous

  • I was sent here from TVTropes.

  • Goenitz makes it look so easy

  • The boss who looks like Orochi in SNK Battle Colliseum.

  • They should really just stop having the King Of Fighters tournament. Every year one of these assholes show up.

  • Nice video, will there ever be a sequel including bosses like Par'ce L'Saia and Hazama?

  • hardest boss = '98 rugal for sure

  • Comment removed

  • o right,Shin Akuma is a REAL joke. *roll eyes* there are quite a few tough Capcom bosses.to say they are all a joke is kinda biast.

  • Billy Eyedol from KI is hardest on Arcade.

  • That first guy looks an awful lot like Adon. Or is it the other way around?

  • @davidgem I assume you're talking about Joe; that's merely the traditional Muay Thai garb.

  • @davidgem Definitely the other way around.

  • SNK bosses aren't hard once you figure out the pattern. SNK does this on purpose.

  • can't get enough from the fatal fury team, huh?

  • Gold Order Sol (Guilty Gear XX Accent Core), Unlimited Ragna & Hazama (Blazblue) as well as Shao Kann (Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3) would love to state their opinions on who is the hardest boss...

  • Magaki from KOF11 was hard to beat.

  • If you jump from fighting Rugal on KOF '94 to fighting Order Sol on GGXXAC (Like I did), you'll experience what hard really is.

  • SNK takes the cake here. Jinpachi and Gill are both also extremely hard, but with them it's more that they have extremely cheap moves. Lol I remember my first time against Geese lol.

  • jinpachi from tekken 5 and gill from street fighter 3 third strike

  • Omega rugal :P

  • Rugal is tougher in later versions.

  • hardest fighting game bosses? all snk bosses haha

  • Krizalid! OMFG

  • goenitz and orochi will always remain my favorites they are awsome

  • @1:00...At least you hit him...

@3:57 You could have easily beat him...if not distracted by awesome music LOL

@4:40 ANd think he gets HARDER after that

@5:00 From all all KOF players. Goenitz can go fuck himself. He has a tendency to spam a move that makes him impossible to kill, if he wants.

  • Rugal Bernstein. The default SNK boss.

  • Was this supposed to be a video detailing fighting game bosses that are "cheap"/broken, or bosses that are just hard (as they should be)?

Either way, going solely off the footage in this vid, this definitely appears to be the latter.

  • @FelfielSoulKara Gee I'm sorry that we can't be all professional in every game!

  • Bosses are easy .... the player who is a big noob

    EPIC FAIL Video

  • wat about Zero in 2001???

  • try fighting I-No as a final boss in Guilty Gear X2 Reloaded and you will see what a hard boss is

  • @megadragonblade I already have when it first came out and she isn't even hard.

  • @evilaj2010 if you've fought her in maniac, you can't say that with a straight face.

  • @evilaj2010 Man then i don't how u cant say that Krizalid is Hard.... I-No is so Hard, , , or Try fighting Order Sol in Guilty Gear XX Accent Core :3 you'll see what is Hard

  • @evilaj2010

Agreed. I suck at videogames and I only took ten ties to beat her. Believe me, when I only take 10 tries to beat a boss, then that boss is easy.

  • @evilaj2010 Um, yeah she is. Idiot. idc how good you are, she's hard.

  • @megadragonblade Shes not that hard. Her random super that she pulls out when you start doing gaining the upperhand is the only annoying thing about that battle.

  • @megadragonblade You mean an easy boss with a gimmick super that's also easy to avoid? You serious?

  • FYI: things that are opinions are opinions, and things that aren't aren't. You don't need to qualify them every single time.

  • i-no win only becouse her super has high damage and cannot escape , but tecnically is only a stupid bi@@@!

  • @lillo2711 true that her specials are annoying and hard to block but if you get the hang of it you can beat her.

  • LOL Geese.

  • And Goenitz (computer AI) can catch you whenever he wants -_-

  • My only feeling towards '94 Rugal is...

    A fully hit Genocide Cutter = (around) 50% life ... ...

  • Hooray for the stupidly hard SNK bosses.

Also this video got as many as it did because someone linked it on TVTropes.

  • Geese Howard can be beaten easily by just throwing him.

Rugal '94 I still can't beat. Omega Rugal '95 is a lot easier, imo.

    Goenitz is tough but fun.

  • @UDUDUD23 dude i suck at fighting but this guy even having the guts to fight these guys is enough! i mean really would you fight these?

  • All of theese bosses are goddamn impossible even on the easyist difficulties:

    5.Azazel- Tekken 6

    4. Dark Khan- Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe.

    3.Dural- Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution & Virtua Fighter 5 ( shes harder on VF4:Evo )

    2. Alisa Bosconovitch ( on Scenario Campaighn mode )- Tekken 6

    1. NANCY-Mi874J- Tekken 6

  • Rising taco

  • lolwut? Rugal is such an ass.

  • Magkai was a ass to beat in KofXI and I didnt play it in the ps2 games so many quarters wasted Dx

  • @UDUDUD23

    1.Who's hard?

    2. Have you seen the video response to this?

    3. Thank you for the compliment for ECCO. :)

    4. Learn grammar next time please.

  • @UDUDUD23

Why are you even leaving a comment here, when you don't even want to watch this clip in the first place?...

This video is like 2 years old, get a life if it bothers you so much!

I find it much interesting, as fighting games back then was heck of terror for me, cause you have to figure out wich fighting pattern would fit.

And yes, an unusual overpowered boss at the end is at custom, but Akuma from SF2 was a nightmare for me first time i met him... brrrr!

  • @FlammieLL your opinion and thoughts dont matter

  • @UDUDUD23 same to you

  • @UDUDUD23 Thank you for admitting that you had no knowledge prior to this video :) Have a nice day!

  • @evilaj2010 why is this video still up 6 months later? STILL SUCKS

  • this should actually be called the hardest "Old school SNK bosses"

  • Goenitz: Not a whole lot different from Rugal, really. Again, don't try to force the issue; defend, wait for an opening, and then unload on him. Also find out which supers he has trouble defending against (like Chin's fire breath).

Krizalid: If anything, his AI holes are even bigger than Geese's. Just find what works. The earring bomb works great, for example, and Bao's diagonal missiles are nearly as good.

  • '94 Rugal: Okay, I'm going to say it one more time. Fight CONSERVATIVELY. *Dodge* his Reppuken/Kaiser Wave barrages, don't ever jump at him unless you are 100% stone-cold lead-pipe sure it's *safe*, and *let him come to you*. Use simple, dependable knockdowns, and throw him every chance you get. Don't get into fireball wars. Don't force the issue. *Take away* his strengths, wear him down, and have more energy when the clock runs out.

  • To answer your question, I'm going with General from Kaiser Knuckle, with World Heroes 2's Dio a close second.

I've faced each of these bosses, and none of them qualify.

FF1 Geese: This is an old game, and even the big boss has AI holes. One tactic that works great for me is to knock him down, then connect a wakeup Burn Knuckle/Zaneiken/Slash Kick *just* before he releases a Reppuken. Repeat 3 times, ballgame. Throws also work well if you can pull them off.

  • King of fighters...never heard of it, but these fights looks way more intense than the street fighter battles. This is how a final boss should be. Probaly the 2nd looks the hardest(in my opinion)

  • DAN KUUU KEN

  • The answer to this question is pretty much any SNK boss. Theirs a syndrome named after them

  • What about Omega Rugal.....remember playing against him in that one King of Fighters...and he would counter every move you did to him.

  • @shawdawg28

Oh yeah you mean the one from KOF 98 ?

Yeah hes a pain in the ass lol he counters everything -_-

Hes also comes back in 2002 when hes even harder.

  • @NassorTubeTV The first one that was on PS1....yeah, he did counter everything you did.

    Jump in: Genocide Cutter

    Fireball: Reflect it back

Stand Still: He attacks perfectly timed

  • omg THAT DAMN GEESE and his music hounted my dreams as a child.

  • I'd like to see the angry video game nerd fight these guys xD

  • @jasonbestkills

that would be hella funny lol

  • LOL!

  • Geonitz combo. OOOOOOH SHWIT!!

  • I agree with most of the boss fights in this video, except for Krizalid (both forms). I soloed him with Bao alone xD. For Geese, I haven't played the game before, so I can't make any comments. For '94 Rugal, I spent about 9 credits with Team Psycho Soldier (Athena, Kensou & Chin). For Goenitz, he is quite difficult (like Ignitz & Magaki), due to his "Kokodesuka" & his unlimited specials. Ignitz is imbalanced, his SDM can defeat anyone with full health.

  • You would think them standing there watching would be like F### this jump him esp the second one who pulls a sigma and has two forms.

  • Rugal is Jesus:

Jewish last name? Superpowers? Came back to life?

  • AUGH GOENITZ

Not too proud to admit I wasted money and my friends' time trying to beat this guy.

(Huh? All video games are a waste of money? Silence!)

  • Que no el maximo nivel es 7???

por que batalla en nivel 4???

  • It seems like all of these bosses are only hard because they have overpowered damage and way too much health. That is not a fair challenge. They should be better than the other characters, but not to the extent of having a move that can 1 or 2 shot you. That is just cheap. The same thing applies to these Japanese arcade shooters where bosses shoot bullets that fill the entire screen. No amount of skill will ever let you avoid that. That is just lazy boss design.

  • 8:14 that must have been the most frustrating moment ever. knowing you got so close to beating him then losing like that...

My controller would have been in the TV long time ago ;)

  • I agree with Rugal, I hate the Genocide Cutter.

Goenitz is just cheap, but he can be defeated in the same way, then again, infinite specials are lame.

Krizalid is IMO the easiest KOF boss.

Igniz is also hard as well as the boss from Power Instinct: Matrimelee; you should try it, pretty crazy game.

  • sounds like he is saying shit wround 7:25

  • funny how joe has a Japanese head band when his martial arts style originates from Thailand

  • @gaiaonlineisthebest Uh...maybe because Joe is Japanese?

  • @JasonPaul601 uhhh muaythai is not a japanese martial art, what im saying is that why does joe use muaythai and not something like karate or kenpo?

  • @gaiaonlineisthebest Er, people are allowed to practice martial arts not from their own country... It's more interesting anyway, and realistic. Was Chuck Norris Korean?

I mean, I'm pretty tired of Chinese fighting game characters who use Chinese styles. Every one from Liu Kang and Feilong to Jann Lee and Feng Wei bores me silly... =/

Soooo to answer your question... Joe practices Muay Thai 'cos he wants to. ORA ORA~
