2000 Mitsubishi lancer 1.5L max speed

i got the 1.8L, basically stock, going up a hill with the aircon on i got to 180 pretty easily. turned the aircon off at 170 tho and immediately felt more acceleration. had to slow down but i reckon it could go about 220-230ish given enough space.

I got my 2000 Mitsubishi lancer 1.5L up to 170. I started the straight in 5th at 90 and just accelerated. I reakon it could get about 185 though.

i have a 96 and my sister in law had a 01 now a o5 vrx, but i didnt know the 1.5 came with a tacho unless it was a mr 1.8, cas neither the 01 or the 96 has one

Exhaust would be a good place to start.. Can get a decent catback for $400.. That should give you 5-10kw. Larger intage, K@N filter.. Then thats about all thats affordable. After that you can Turbo it which will be 5-10k. Expect around 150KW after that.

Cold air intakes have actually been shown to LOSE power you ignoramous. It depends where you get it done, but I have NEVER seen 15hp gained from a CAI.

Yea, your best bet is to get a car with about 4 times d engine size, that would be a good start.

Or you could just put a larger engine in the lancer. Either a 2L or 2.4L is what I would go with.

There a 40k straight about 2h out of my town but the 3k straight 15 minutes out of town works better. Theres no traffic.
