  • I remember reading somewhere that serious tight-lacing wasn't possible until lacing holes were backed with something, around the 18th century? I don't think grommets were the first thing used, though. Metal rings were first used in the 16th century to back the holes.

  • Have you ever been screened for scoliosis? I've noticed that slight unevenness since your first custom corset vid. In this vid it's REALLY noticeable that you actually have a slight unevenness to your shoulders as well. So it may not be your corsets after all, but your spine. Just an observation. Corseting can actually help with that, especially if it's only a slight curvature.

  • @Amarianee yes i have been checked. and no i dont have it. i had broken my ribs when i was younger and that was what was causing it

  • I just bought a corset from orchard corset (at the store) the lady who measured me had me in and out within a few minutes. She laced me up very nicely (and forcefully) without breaking the corset so I'm pretty sure it can take some beating without falling apart.

Another thing: where can you buy a good training corset? I want one soo badly but I cant find any sites to buy them from.

  • I've been watching your videos for the past few days and I find them fascinating. I am absolutely enraptured watching these videos, your demeanor is very genteel and reminiscient of what I think of as the ladies of the times that actually wore corsets would behave as.

  • i dont wanna sound lesbian im not but i gotta say u are soo preety ^_^ u look so kind and i like ur eyes i like ur vids a lot

  • The grommets protect the material from the friction caused by the laces during tightening and wearing. Removing the grommets would subject the corset materail near the laces to endure friction whenever tightening or loosening would occur. That friction would damage the material over time.

  • The "little plastic thingies" are called grommets. Their job is to protect the laces and the corset material during the tightening process. If they pop out, you can get a grommet repair kit and replace or repair them.

    It's a lovely corset, btw ;-)
