  • this the plane with cracked wings ?

  • @USA4thewin

those are the flaps which ensure a slow and steady approach during the landing by expanding the wing size.

  • One of the best Airlines in the world

  • 0:33 what's up the the elevator?

  • Ωραίο το α380!!!!!!

  • You added the word crosswind to make more views. I don't see any crosswind here.

  • Is that radio conversation in the beginning that of this plane and if it is, how did you link it with the video?

  • EK pilots are the best !!!

  • is it just me or is the whole elevator shaking like HELL at 0:34?!

  • one of man made miracles.....yoke or stick...it s a beautiful creation

  • which airport was this?

  • @patrickponfe MAN

  • i don't know what is bad in this landing! EMIRATES IS A WONDERFUL AIR COMPANY!

  • I don't know why hell do Emirates's pilot land so bad the A380 , just take a look a the landing gear

  • @mmd787 I can asure you that Emirates have some smooth beautiful A380 landings, but remember that they are putting maybe 310-320 tonnes to the ground at maybe 140-150knots,and when it is windy i would guess thats not the easiest job a man can have :D

  • Ugly plane.

  • Looking at the amount of seriously hard landings the A380's have had, I figure a few wont make the 20 year mark on the air frame, so just like the Jumbo some will still be flying past the 30 year mark and some wont..

  • hi if you want to see more cool spotting videos in hd, check us out!!! we are a small channel based in berlin germany with our first video!!

    /watch?v=kQCgKAXG4yQ

  • Crosswind? where?

  • It's magic how could that building fly !

  • a380 airbus

  • What a grace in such huge machine!

  • emirates pilot does landing like putting a piece of cake in a dish.. awesome!! God bless all the passengers... always

  • this is a cracking vid... the vapour over the engines... wow!

  • @sonicbenj78 I thought that was some kinda joke about cracks in the wings haha.

  • if you think outside the box, how can human fly this thing!!!

back in 1901.... first plane cant even fly!

  • Jett203: That's okay! Any video that I get to watch showing the A380 is a great video!

  • Great Video! best video of an airplane landing I've seen :)

  • Girls! Girls! Meow!

  • that was smooth , thank you for uploading.

  • Saw this plane at the final day of the Dubai Airshow 2011.

  • u hear that sound from 0:21 to 0:26

everyday i see a lot of planes landing

but each time an emirates lands the sound is same

i can close my eyes but when i hear this particular engine sound i know its emirates, be it a 380 or b777

    does anyone here know why?

  • @SuperVivek9999 reversing the engines

  • Rolls Royce?

  • I WOULD KILL FOR GETTING THAT CLOSE TO AN A380!

  • @yoDog421 pay for a ticket and actually go sit inside one?

  • amazing

  • I find the ongoing debate between who's better Boeing/Airbus to be pointless. Both make excellent aircraft and both are international companies. Both employ Americans and Europeans and a host of other nationalities. Its kind of pointless placing national loyalties on international companies. Those who wish that one would fail and the other attain a sales monopoly, well that will only decrease the quality of the product. Competition creates innovation, quality, and variation.

  • nice quality

  • this kind of video make me want to be a pilot

  • how does emirates get such good business? don't they all go to emirates?

  • beautifully captured.

  • it was perfect till the last 5 feat! =/

  • Full respect to NumanFsl.

  • Emirates , Its with its Mission "Keep Discovering"

  • Wow look at the Elevator Flutter , dint think it would be able to flutter that much!

  • wind at 11KT is nothing for an A380... a cessna 152 which is basically a kite could land in a 15KT Xwind

  • best a380 landing

  • Foreign aircraft , Flight personnel of foreign , foreign pilot , All foreign !

whay say that emirates airline !?

  • That pilot sounded baddass

  • No need to excuse your filming, it was better than many on here. Thanks for deciding to upload it.

  • very nice , well done!

  • @TheFearlass your harsh man! How are dare you!

  • God damn- look at those wings sag as it slows and loses lift-!  O_o;

  • typical brit weather

  • what type of camera you use?

  • a plane like THAT in manchester wth

  • @MrMaciek2004 Hey....The much bigger AN-225 is a regular visitor to Manchester. By the way we are talking of Manchester International in the UK not Manchester NH in the USA here. Manchester International is a gigantic airport by many standards.

  • Amazing video, Jett203!

In my opinion Boeing is much better than AIbus because Airbus used stick to control the plane instead of yoke.

  • @NumanFsl Really??? AND In my opinion you are an idiot who knows jack shit because Boeing also build planes that use a joystick instead of a yoke. They just happen to be military orientated. If theyre good enough for a military set up then why not civilian also???? Idiot.

  • @Neanderthalmanny Do you really need to insult? If you want to correct me then say something with respect. Grow up.

  • @NumanFsl OK then....what i've said is not a correction. You stated "In my OPINION Boeing is much better than AIbus because Airbus used stick to control the plane instead of yoke". Now giving an opinion is one thing but basing it on the most stupid possible reasoning is another. In order not do attract disrespect from other viewers then either (1) Offer well reasoned opinion. OR (2) Say nothing. Some Extremely Intelligent people built that plane and you insulted their intelligence. Understand?

  • @Neanderthalmanny Well, he actually didn't insult their intelligence. The controls Boeing built on military jets must be joysticks because:

    1) They have very small room and a joystick takes less space. (they need space to put other instruments and controls)

    2) Flying with a yoke will let you feel the force and it costs much more strength to pull a manoeuvre (or maneuver) than a simple fly-by-wire joystick system.

  • @winsun96 So if you mention the Space shuttle or C-17 in the same equation are you gonna argue that has little room for a yoke too or that they were taken over by Boeing? This argument was nothing to do with joystick v yoke, it was an American v European dick measuring issue. He DID plainly insult the intelligence of many people...American and European people. Those Airbus aircraft have now clocked up many millions of hours of flight time and have proven no less able than yoke controlled planes.

  • @Neanderthalmanny well then, if u say its between ppl, ill leave it there. But remember, Airbus also used yoke once.... on the 300

  • @Neanderthalmanny I really don't know why so many people hate airbus so much. I personally prefer their narrow body a32x to any variant of the 737 as a passenger, Boeing and airbus make some phenomenal widebodies in my opinion. As a fueller i personally prefer any airbus. Easiest aircraft to refuel, and acm outlet is beside the fuel panel in the widebodies so on a cold day its a significantly less painful experience with the big airbuses. Big boeings? Better have a hot beverage with you.

  • **boeing NOW made 16 accounts to dislike it :P

  • @nelsonalfanii There are 2. The A380F and the normal A380, the F being the cargo version (with no windows or seats). I'm pretty sad, but I know it because I want to become an airline pilot at 18.

  • @1easterling3 good luck with that;)

  • Brilliant video. Better than the description suggested it would be.

  • That's the biggest VBIED I've ever seen. That could take out an entire city.

  • hard landing i see

  • @huzaifaq123 they like to plant them on the ground, i flown in one :)

  • Excelente video!!

  • @multidonkey if you ever travelled on this aircraft, you'd know how great it is... can't beat the thing... unless you are an a330 or even crappier 757 afficionado... how long have you worked for Boeing for???

  • @cazzak123 I'm not questioning how nice the aircraft is. I'm questioning the practicality of it. It's too big and oversized. The wings are cracking and these things will not last that long.

  • @MultiDonkey13 The A380 is built to withstand all the pressures of flight and certified to do so by the same agencies that certify your favourite plane, whatever it may be....so chill

  • @turbofan450 if it's not boeing it's not safe. Boeing is the #1 planemaker!

  • @alialimali Not anymore!!

  • @turbofan450 AMEN!!!

  • @turbofan450 You watch the news lately? Wings are cracking. It'll only get worst. Too much pressure on the wings.

  • @MultiDonkey13 its aluminum so its flexible

  • @MultiDonkey13 only if you board them with bombs..

  • @MultiDonkey13 strange then that airbus can use the same wings on a much heavier and stress prone version they are planing with very limited reinforcment to satisfy the extremes testing works to to ensure such problems are almost impossible in flight.

you say the plane takes a lot of stress but so does the 777 and 747 on landing gear and wings and i havent heard any problems with them falling apart

  • @airplanes66 You'll hear one about an airbus a380. Give it 5 years.

  • @MultiDonkey13 No because its wings fell off due to material fatigue... Go buy a clue.

  • @MultiDonkey13 not considering they are certified for much much higher weights and trust me if airbus can get then unchanged certified then they are about the safest thing they will make as the test require the wings to bend up by 155% of designed limits. they do flex however that happens daily to all other 1000s of aircraft and none i know of have lost their wings yet. of all parts on an aircraft the wings are the strongest as they do take flight loads and fuel and turbulence.

  • @MultiDonkey13 i'll be remembering this comment in 5 years... i'll just wait and see... :) AIRBUS vs boeing

  • @airplanes66 Have you seen the news lately? A380 wings are starting to crack. How do you think that happened?

  • @MultiDonkey13 Really uninformed comment... That stress has been carefully calculated and the tested.

  • @MultiDonkey13 you underestimate the strength of the aircraft's wings. the plane's parts will all be used on the -900 (extended length and weight) and freighter (much heavier) variants. AND there was a test done in which a pair of wings were bent all the way up and down to their breaking points

  • That thing looks like it's going to fall apart everytime it lands. The cockpit also makes it look like it has Down Syndrome! A340-600 forever!

  • ok, pls stop zooming in, we want to see how the aircraft react in crosswind, not to see the words emirates. i voted dislike

  • @azlee19 Do you not read descriptions? @Jett203 clearly states that he had second thoughts about uploading this because he thought it was poor filming and stated why. Read before criticising an uploader who usually provides excellent videos.

  • @jonathankermode i read it, and , that's my response, its like saying you sang badly just now, and my response is dont do that high pitch again, i vote u dislike. come on, look outside the box. u r taking it personal

  • but it's not a crosswind landing

it's just landing in the rain

  • Water makes it look better

  • Massive yet beautifully graceful

  • he bounced hard!

  • wow those ailerons look like they gona bend off

  • Just Look At The Wing Design Its Unbelievable!

  • I thought it was a great video.

  • Hey pal how did u get those radio conversation from the ATC?

  • Free jet wash !

  • On that landing the aircraft was really "dropped" in. Where was the nice flare? Looks like they wanted to plant it down and get the reverse coming (available on only 2 engines)

  • @herbergreen In wet conditions they want to have a harder landing, to push through the surface water and avoid aqua planing.

  • look at the way the horizontal stab shakes after landing

  • omg were u zoomed? that camera is insane!

  • wow impressive vid!

  • Nice Video. Note the vortex or whatever at 0.26

  • Wow so beautiful and graceful, nice landing unfortunately we can't see the effect of the crosswind, sometimes can you make widest angle? thank you for your videos :)

  • Nice video ...the landing was so silent compare to other planes .

  • @wtfizzjus lol but true

  • Comment removed

  • Super.........

  • wow that landing was huge for the camera lens

  • A380 Is a Amazing Plane

  • @planelander

I think we should wait few decades before we say it's a amizing plane...

since 2001-2011 they have 234 Orders only.. they deliver 48 units only,

they need to sale 540 units to recover the main project cost, :)

  • @planelander i think the A380 looks like a rolling log. GO BOEING!

  • @saheb1b fuck off you n00b!!

  • @TheFearlass your harsh man!

  • @saheb1b sorry man :) only joking :)))

  • @TheFearlass haha okay! :D

  • Nice!

  • wow its tail looks like it's gonna fall off

  • do you know if "Juliet Sierra" been re-opened?

  • What airport is this ? Manchester ?

  • They make it look so easy....

  • Beautiful.

  • It says in the description "first visit" no its first arrival was 1st September...

  • @rachaelmatt This was A6-EDG's first visit...

  • @Jett203 Oh! Sorry misunderstanding! I've just uploaded a video from LHR it has an emirates a380 in it. Taken yesterday.

  • Awesome bird, good video

  • not bad at all

  • woa watta nice crosswind landing!!

  • what a fucking monster

  • nice

  • Just amazing!!!

  • Amarzin vid

  • Smoth Landing

  • boeing made 3 accounts to dislike this

    lol

  • @wtfizzjus lol

  • @wtfizzjus HAHA that was good one.. i agree!! you never know..

  • @wtfizzjus boeing doesnt need to they know their 747 will never be beat by an ugly whale

  • @poskyflyer 747 does look better, but when you're up in the air, IT SUCKS so bad compared to an a380 14 hours in an a380 feels like 3 hours, while 12 hours on a 747 feels exactly like 12 hours, its nowhere close to a380 when it comes to comfort and enjoyability

  • @wtfizzjus i was actually on the a380 last month, and a klm 747 last week i still love the 747 way more

  • @poskyflyer ive been on the 747 kml too and the emirates a380

the 747 was louder, more shaky, and had way less features. ohh and the landing for the a380 was perfect, ive been on 747's a bunch of times and the landings were never even close to the a380's

  • @wtfizzjus the 747-400 is over 20 years old and they still fly you wont see a380's flying at that age shit 747's from the 70's are still flying, as for smootherlandings yes i agree but thats only because of the gear design like a 767 lands smoother then an a330 ive found because of the reverse pitch of the gear

  • @poskyflyer true, but the a380 has only been out for 3 years, i think itll fly for 20 years no problem

  • @wtfizzjus not with the sucess the 747 has, the 74 will be flying for atleast another 30 years with the -8 coming out

  • @poskyflyer there are plans to soon discontinue 747's and replace them with the new Boeing X3. part of Boeing's new development scheme. Their other planes i.e 767, 737 etc will be replaced to. These plans haven't been finalised yet so It may not happen but it's apparently likely.

  • @poskyflyer apologies I meant the Boeing Y3 not X3 in my last reply :)

  • @wtfizzjus

it's not necessary to be boeing to dislike , its simple I Never like Airbus,

I always likes Boeing for so many many reasons :)

  • @wtfizzjus thhey made 6 more :P

  • @wtfizzjus More like ten ;)

  • awesome video as always!

  • AWESOME!!!! GREAT VIDEO!!!

  • Looks nice :)!

  • holy shit!_ -awesome

  • that's amazing!! 2

  • NICE AHOT

  • AWESOME !! Very nice video , Favourite !

  • I recomend you put ''hard'' in front of crosswind on the title because that is the hardest A380 landing I have ever seen. ^^

  • that's amazing!!

  • At 0:39 it looks like its crashing!

  • wooow look at the stabilizers... Amazing Video :-D

  • Poor filming ? Bloody brilliant when compared to most of the crap that gets put up,

  • i really wanna do what you do so bad but i need a good camera to do it

  • it SUCKS that Emirates pilots aren't emeriti! they're all European! :'(

  • @TheSaadAhmed125 What could be the reason? I'm thinking of some, but they are quite politically incorrect ;)) LOL

  • what radio scanner do u use ?????
