I was so confused about this season. The writing went so downhill, at the end of season five Brooke and Lucas were so close, after him telling her she saved people, yet he was nowhere to be seen when she was beaten up! Like wtf. I thought he was gonna 'rescue' her like he promised in season three.
@amnddy In the first episode of season 6, Brooke's store gets robbed while she is closing up and she gets brutally beaten by the robber. However she tells all of her friends that she fell down the stairs, and had Deb (Nathan's mom) help her clean the store and keep her secret.
When she acts like that and says "I need to feel safe in my house right now" while she's all bruised in the face.. doesn't that make you think she was attacked PEYTON!!? I love peytons character but sometimes she's so stupid :P
Falling down the stairs will not give you two black eyes..walking into a fist just might..Peyton is her best friend but yet she is always too self absorbed to see something was odviously wrong with Brooke..the writers had potential to make this a great storyline but for whatever reason chose to do nothing with it..are we really supossed to beleive that real friends couldn't tell their friend was attacked..she odviously has finger marks on her arm but she fell down the stairs..um ok
i was SO pissed when they did nothing about brooke being attacked. like for once i thought wow brooke is guna get sympthy for once and every one will be there for her cause she never got to be saved like payton did with derek like i thought everyone would be there for her but one tree hill really fucked this one up

If you think about how they all act when Brooke has her speach about rape and stuff no one seems to care.. and They should.. Lucas looks at her like she's crazy and Peyton pretty much ignore her and Haley seems to be wondering what's going on but doesn't know how to say it.
I really love Nathan for caring about Brooke when no one else does :D
these scenes are so heartbreaking. why didn't anyone notice??? i mean, peyton makes her feel guilty, lucas ignores her, and haley tells her to see a shrink. brooke is crying out and noone really cares. it is so sad because ot makes us all realize that brooke is really alone.
i was thinking, and maybe they were afraid. i mean, if that happened to my bff, id really want to know the truth, but at the same time, i'd be scared to know the truth. you never want to see you best friend hurt. then again, it hurts more ignoring the problem
i think peyton honestly just did not want to know the truth. but that doesn't make it any better. i mean then she would be ignoring her best friend and leaving her to suffer for incredibly selfish reasons, because peyton herself could not handle it. and best friends sacrafice themselves and their happiness for each other.
totally agree...cant say it in better words. i really hated peyton and lucas for not caring...they are completely selfish..when they want something from brooke they r there for her..other than that..they really aren't.
@patheticallypoetic99 To be honest, when I first watched it, I was like WHAAAT?? Come on people, help her!!! But then you watch it again, and you see that in their own ways, they are trying to help. When Brooke tells Peyton she believes in Justice, watch Peyton's face. You can tell that she knows Brooke didn't fall down the stairs, but as someone who was attacked, she just understands that Brooke needs to talk about it in her own time. So she does little stuff, like collecting her clothes back..

And Nathan tells her he is there for her. Lucas, well... okay he fails. But if you watch the scenes about the aftermath again, you can tell that they all have realised something is wrong, and are just trying to help her in their own way. They care, they just know it's important for Brooke to take her time, and tell them...

i'm sooooooo glad that brooke is finally getting a good story line and sophia is finally able to show off her amazing acting skills!! it's a shame that now mark is writting everything for peyton and her drama. i looove brooke!!!
