Anyhow. I bought these speakers off the ebay. But mine is white color with chrome, yours is white and silver.

Does that mean I bought fake speakers? Please I need to know

Wonderful sound quality, they can get LOUD AS HELL, and they have ridiculous long battery life

got a set of 2 X-Mini 2s to daisy chain to these and they can compete with powered desktop speakers

@flowerhorn3 Thanks! It's actually very easy to find it, and unfortunately the price is the same everywhere. It's in almost every gadget shop at Funan IT Mall and Sim Lim Square. Just make sure you get the right model. It should be X-Mini by XM-I, cos I see a lot of copies around.

@65bits Thanks, went to a couple of harvey norman stores, and finally found the x-miini2 in funan digital mall. I was quite surprised that the unit comes pre charged...and it lasted quite long...

is it possible to 'blow' these speakers up by turning the volume too high?

I connect the mini max 2 to my mp3 player, but I am afraid to hurt the speakers by setting the volume on max; it is very loud then.

i just bought mine yesterday and its awesome, i wonder if i could charge the thing while its playing?? would it get damage if i do that?? , and mine is the led lights are different the other is bright while the other is slightly bright so its like skyblue and the other is ocean blue..

I just got mine today(in red), and for some reason the cables bundled are different, for one, no volume control on my cord, and in the box there is also another mini-usb to 3.5mm jack??

There's no volume control anywhere? That's strange... how many cables did you get?

There are 2 cables bundled and nope..no volume control..none whatsoever...in fact if I didn't know better I'd say it's the exact cable as the original XMini Max which I had before.

As for the other cable its a strange little short cable with a mini-usb plug on one side and a 3.5mm jack on the other end...methinks maybe mine came packaged wrongly from factory??

@macluvr6 Yes you can, but it will only repeat one channel (left or right, depending on which speaker you daisy chain from)

No I don't believe it will be harmful, especially since the X-mini 2 has it's own volume control built in.

@65bits hi guys, i have 2 sets of xmini max 2, total 4 speakers, when i connect them 4 in one piece, 3 speakers sounds at full sound, and 1 speaker about 50% sound... it bit sux, any ideas?

Ok... so let me get this right its the cable that makes it stereo ? So if user who owns two or more X Mini 2 they rather go source for a china made or local made cable to so call convert their two X Mini 2 Mono to Stereo ?

Technically, yes.

However, the Max 2 is more than the cable. For one thing, they made it easier to transport 2 X-Minis, and their speakers are angled forward, rather than point upwards like the original X-Mini. Not to mention it's cheaper than 2 X-Mini 2s.

now i REALLY want one of these eggs for xmas, but i'm curious - when you guys say that these have bass, what do you mean? like tinny speaker bass or like legit bass bass? You guys did a great review but the microphone you guys used won't do the sound quality justice

You're right about the microphone not doing the speakers justice. The best way is to hear it for yourself. They sound really good. To me at least!

As for the bass, the best way to answer that question is to check out Gear65 #18 (visit our channel or just search youtube) and fast forward to the 4 minutes 30 seconds mark and you will be able to "see" the bass from the X-Mini II (they're almost the same speaker inside)! They're pretty cool.
