  • Fuck that puto

  • This Expansions are a waste of Tax Payers Money....Carpool Lanes will not improve Traffic on the 405 where most Drivers on it are single drivers....and they know this perfectly...Only a Light Rail System will improve the 405 Period...Light Rail would ease the traffic and plus bring in Profits

  • @MrProTechHD they need a much better mass transit system that connects all major counties from Ventura to LA to Inland Empire to Orange County. That would bring in the jobs to completely revamp their mass transit grid however I doubt anyone one that is currently leading has enough brain power to figure that out and come together for the better. Just friggin build the mass light rails and make them expresses to where their stops are minimal so it is economical and time efficient.

  • an Eric Estrada FAIL. Freeway reopened on Sunday. Stay at home my ass.

  • @shaithis80 TRAFFIC LOOKS LIKE GRAND OPENING DAY AT HOOTERS RESTAURANTS!

  • @moneybelt22 in other words no change in traffic conditions.

  • @shaithis80 IT'LL ONLY GET BIGGER! YA KNOW WHIT I MEAN?

  • @moneybelt22 I think DMV doesn't teach people to drive properly. People drive too fast for conditions, cut in and out of traffic, follow to closely and are more distracted than ever and talking on a cell even if it is hands free still means you are not paying attention to conditions around you. Accidents happen and traffic gets backed up and you are lucky if you can even change lanes. To me the driving mentality has changed and not for the better. Mass transit sucks in that area.

  • @shaithis80 REALLY? HERE IN NY IT IS A OVERHAUL OF THE SYSTEM

  • @moneybelt22 for some reason I've always like NYC and Boston much better over LA. Different driving mentality which requires more focus. NYC had a standard feel to it and you just learned how to follow the flow of traffic if a road was blocked etc etc or you learned to lean on your own if someone crossed in front you when they should have. NYC/Boston is real driving. LA has it way too easy. I think NYC did an excellent job for the space they had to work with and has good mass transit.

  • @moneybelt22 the driving on the LA freeway system was probably much different back in the 20th century before the age of cell phones and irresponsible drivers just increased. People are just in a hurry or just like to intimidate via tailgating. It also affects auto insurance rates in the bigger markets. Other than that I like the LA Freeway system challenge but it is really no different than other major cities. Driving is much tighter in NYC and Boston and you have to know what you are doing

  • @moneybelt22 and to this day to my understanding, funds are still allocated to the incomplete portion of I-710 that was suppose to connect to the I-210/CA 134 eventually. You really need a car to get around in that area otherwise your job options do become very very limited. I really have to give a lot of credit to the current population that lives down there that makes So Cal what it is today despite the heavy traffic factor. Been there, driven it, survived, no need to return anytime soon.

  • @moneybelt22 I actually did a little digging into the 405 as far as future projects. Other bridge projects are slated so looks as if they might do more weekend closures in phases the first being the demolition phase of the Mulholland Bridge. Nothing but standard road maintenance.

  • preconditioning..and agenda 21.. sums this up!

  • Hey News Media, Do you have any idea how much we do not care about what you are reporting? Why don't you report on why the CITY OF FONTANA has nearly 3 BILLION DOLLARS in bond debt? Yes, 3 BILLION. That is nearly double the amount of bond debt in the City of Los Angeles. How much do reporters like David Goldstein and others get paid to look the other way? It appears Fontana paid you enough, and the City of Bell didn't.

  • Waste some more of that hard earned tax payers dollars ! what tear another one Down in 50 more yrs? let me geuss we get to buy back all that old concrete too ! i can make better plans than that and i got a fuckin spelling problem ! sucky ass fuckers wish i had money to piss off like that!! good thing them boys over there in war have some video games .....wtf hey George can i use your wooden teeth ?

  • @TheNewMusicNetwork Erick Estrada is actually Puerto Rican. Quoting Hasselhoff actually makes you a fag

  • FTP!!!

  • @DJDOMINATE00 WHAT ABOUT THE FORMULA 409 FREEWAY? OR THE PELHAM 1 2 3? CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE!

  • haa. them bithes asses won stay home, they need to go do stupid things.

  • Only 3 things I learned in life ----

    1) Death and taxes are inevitable

    2) Erik Estrada is a HUGE DOUCHE and always was

    3) People in L.A. are FUCKING FAGS with no meaning to their lives

  • @Hunkola la sucks dude, get the fuck out of there

  • @Hunkola HI IM ERIC ESTRADA , AND IM HERE WITH FAKE POLICE OFFICERS, SO PLEASE- GO OUT AND HAVE FUN!

  • ...Actually I was a CHiPs fan when I was 5,6 years old..those awesome crashes that opened up the show...lol. I've been to LA 3 times, seems like "carmageddon" every single time. Sitting there or a slow moving crawl on the 10 twice and yes the 405 near Long Beach.

  • Stay off the freeway, stay the hell home..and make sure to check out my all day marathon of infomercials - Buy some land in Bella Vista, Arksanas or Telico Village, Tenn.

  • Sound?

  • Erik Estrada is the biggest faggot homosexual in the history of mexico.

David Hasselhoff had it right when he said, NO YOU'RE THE HOMO!

  • Who is the illegal alien in the video?

  • @TheNewMusicNetwork A SALES REP AT THE GRAND OPENING OF THE ALL NEW " DENNYS RESTAURANT" HERE IN HARLEM!

  • It's about time The Ponch gets the same kind of hypes as The Norris! (Man I was so damn tired of Chuck Norris gettin' all the hypes!) Way to go Eric Estrada! Soon you'll be slamming those revolving doors shut and making the boogie man wear Eric Estrada pajamas!

  • Use the Metro or take a walking tour.

Actually, maybe you don't need your "fucking piece of crap iPhone charger made in China" this weekend, huh?

  • LA needs more Carmageddons. Like once a month Id say.

  • Spend all our tax dollars on this project then turn the 10 and 110 HOV lanes into toll roads so the wealthy can drive solo and everyone has to spend $75 bucks on transponders just to carpool. Thanks LA.

  • this is why we need jet packs

  • Rollerskates

  • Thanks, government, for unnecessarily spending money on hiring an actor to give a PSA about something everyone knows about.

  • What are my options?!? Fucking Sepulveda?!? Every idiot in LA is going to be crowding every side street surrounding the 405! I can't even get to fucking Best Buy for my new iPhone charger! The fucking Apple Store?!? So I can pay $50 for a piece of crap made in China?!? The next asshole who tells me to use the Metro or take a walking tour is in serious fucking trouble!!

  • @NYCNECH ya know after seeing Erik, I honestly thought he was trying to sell us another piece of real estate or in this case interstate. I'm surprised Erik didn't turn this piece into a 405 Infomercial. Never paralleled 405 on Sepulveda through pass as an alternate so don't know how bad that can be on a weekend. Makes sense to cut through though if you have business on the other end of the pass. Bigger question is after all that money wasted, would it have been worth it?

  • @NYCNECH Calm down, Mein Fuhrer. Your cousin rescheduled his flight to come in at Ontario.

  • @NYCNECH You should use the Metro or take a walking tour.

  • @NYCNECH Good job Hitler.

  • @NYCNECH just take your private helicopter. Must be rich if you have enough free time to post that previous comment

  • @NYCNECH You should take the Metro of take a walking tour. It'll do you good.

  • @NYCNECH I'd say that living in LA is your main problem. Fixing that might help ease your traffic woes.

  • @NYCNECH calm down francis

  • @NYCNECH

HAHAHAHAHAHA! this is so funny! The motorway will be closed for just 2 days and your acting like the world is coming to an end!

Considering you posted this 3 days ago I am sure you figured out that the shops were open while you were panicing and screaming!

I have a best buy here in West London (that's in Jolly Old England by the way) and will gladly buy you a iphone charger and send it to you so you don't need to panic any more!

Hope you get this message before you iphone goes flat

  • @NYCNECH ahhh....saw the Hitler video, also

  • @Ultravox5 ERIC? DOES THIS ROAD GO TO RED LOBSTER?

  • Erik is the man!

  • Why did our dirt poor city hire a celebrity to do this cheap video? Seriously?

  • @collin1000 if you've seen his resume of cheap informercials, then it all makes sense. I'm surprised he didn't dress up as a highway patrol office for added effect.

  • Comment removed

  • @collin1000 Because he's the allmighty Lord Estrada! Duh!!!

  • Sons of bitches ! how am I suppose to go to LAX ?

Anywhere in the civil world, no government will tell it's people "Stay at home "

  • @RESISTING1 doesn't Sepulveda parallel the 405. One option. Another way is to cut through to PCH. The alternative way to get to LAX seriously then would be 101 to 110 to 105 and shoot back in that way. Or cut back over on the 10 FWY and pick back up the 405 south. Whatever floats your boat. Just give yourself a shitload of time to access LAX. Personally I think the video is funny LOL!

  • @shaithis80 Why was I born good looking instead of rich ? If I had my own jet, it wouldn't be a problem at all. But also maybe the city of LA should realize that it's about fucking time to create a sophisticated public transportation system. I mean the Chinese, Japanese, Russians, Europeans, Indians and Arabs are all advancing and using modern railroads, subways and monorails while we're still desperate to use the goddamn 405.

  • @RESISTING1 that is the unfortunate thing about LA. You need a car to get around. NYC and the surrounding burroughs did it right where you didn't neccessarily need a car to get around. LA you are kinda screwed unless you live closs to a mass transit corridor that offers express routing to downtown with very few stops. In answer to your LAX question, someone at the LAPD that is on another You Tube post suggested cutting over to I-605 then back down to 105 and cut back over.

  • @RESISTING1 Ventura County/Los Angeles/San Fernando/San Gabriel and points east towards San Bernrdino. They are all a magnet for jobs. People probably are still commuting from Ventura Cty to points east and from the desert communities to points south to this very day. The traffic just progressively got worse and worse and sounds like all cities/counties failed to plan ahead for the influx of traffic. Even in Ventura Cty there were plans to extend the 118 all the way to 101. Didn't happen.

  • @RESISTING1 at the same time it takes a lot of resources and labor behind the scenes to run the place and keep the roads properly maintained. I most certainly hope the price tag is worth it for the I-405 because if you want my honest opinion, the cost seems so overinflated so people better be getting what they pay for after they reopen the I-405. On the bright side, work is work as and they say with road construction, if road workers have a problem then they share it with everyone.

  • @RESISTING1 SIMPLE ! YA DROP YA PANTS IN FRONT OF TRAFFIC, YOU GET A RIDE PEOPLE DO IT ALL THE TIME HERE IN NYC!

  • i sorta wish i lived in la, everything is movie stars

  • @meesterhoward

you dont know shit about LA then.

  • ChiPs!

  • Im glad that Metro is offering FREE rides on the Red and Purple lines during this time.

  • wow someone has problems

  • lol at iggy trying to start a fight

  • How did they manage to land Erik Estrada?? This PSA should get some serious Emmy consideration.

  • would they invest so much time and effort to get the word out if this was the 710 or 605(freeways in predominantly minority neighborhoods)closing? does the fact that this is a corridor used by the affluent have anything to do with the information blietzkrieg?

if the 110 south of 105 closed for a week it would be a blip on page 8 of your unread newspaper.

  • @iggy082 Many of the SF Valley neighborhoods are not affluent. Be real -- this is THE corridor for all of L.A., so it's a huge event.

That said, people are ridiculously overreacting. I suggest everyone in the area pick up a copy of "Walking L.A." by Erin Mahoney and try doing one of the walks listed. It might get you to set aside the metal beast for more than just one weekend, and you'll learn a thing or two about your city.

  • Comment removed

  • @iggy082 I'll refrain from name-calling. (However, stay in school, my friend, whether it be community college or high school. Elitist enough of an insult for you?) I LIVE in L.A., and was merely stating the obvious: 1) the 405/10 confluence is the city's (automotive) pulse, and 2) Angelenos might benefit from a weekend where they're forced to explore with something other than a metal box (i.e., their feet or a bicycle).
